Countries around the world have dual goals of bringing in tourism revenue and opening their doors wider, inviting remote workers interested in setting up outside their hometown. Working in a different country isn’t a new tactic for many Nomads, but countries such as Barbados and Georgia have recently loosened their visa restrictions to further attract a new batch of digital nomads. The best countries for a Digital Nomad have a few things in common. The most important one is fast and reliable internet. Low cost of living, cultural attractions, nice weather and co-working spaces are highly prized.

Starting 1 Jan 2021, Croatia brought in a no-additional-tax law for foreign digital nomads. Pay income tax by your company's country's laws, and that's it. Applications have to be renewed every 12 months though.
Doesn't Croatia have a residence-based taxation system anyways though? So, unless you're tax resident in Croatia, this new law is kinda redundant? Or am I missing something... (Perhaps this law is for those who _are_ tax resident in Croatia?)

With more than 1 million islands, Mediterranean weather,healthy food ,well educated friendly people, fast internet in most areas, EU member ,Euro currency, great transportation with many airports ,ideal geographical location at the intersection of Europe Africa and Asia, great history and amazing landscape. Greece is a superior destination for digital Nomads..
@Dave Guest 1. Not sure for income tax rates for digital nomads since they are not permanent residents.. 2. Accomodation is very cheap in comparison with northern European cities. 3. There plenty flexible regulations in the country aiming to attract foreigners ex. Golden visa regulation etch. I am sure that similar regulations will include digital nomads in near future.

Technically/legally, Thailand does not allow remote work unless your employer sponsors you. This is according to a lawyer in Thailand law.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is the most ( hated ) man in the world..., besides Donald J. Trump. There are more "restrictions" on Russia (e.g., because of an unjustified Urgaine War against innocent people, etc.)...., than any country in the world, including difficult (World Wide Wide) and the Internet... :(
Vietnam looks very cheap.
