Zack Snyder is the director most hated by wankers, but we like his films, when some cry and make stupid videos like this, he continues to gain visibility and success all over the world, cry more losers😂😂😂🤣
I think _300_ was just the one good movie he had in him. And I chalk that up to its inherent camp value-its raw over-the-top machismo made the whole movie so silly and absurd that you couldn’t help but love it. Every single movie after just didn’t have that cheesy fun camp value that made _300_ work, relying more on complex visuals and melodrama.
300 worked because it was Unique and weird when it came out. The machismo was novel when Snyder made that film. It felt like he did a stylized adaptation of Frank Millers work. But then when the next film came out. And the next. And the next. The viewer got introduced to the fact that no, this guy actually believes in and worships this over-the-top machismo and the sociopathic undertones of the male heroes. Snyder seems like the type of guy who could watch Fight Club and American Psycho and come out of the theater raving about how strong, cool, and macho the main characters were.
Some time ago Zac S said to his computer " Watch A Bugs Life,The Magnificent Seven, Inglorious Bstds and Star wars AND WRITE ME A SCREENPLAY"......& make it humourless with a strong female character who is surrounded by beta males as she despatches very accommodating stunt men with ease...oh, and make every baddie white and male.. Also ,I kinda like that female spider woman in star Trek Borg but make sure we have sympathy for her because she's not a white male... RUBBISH
The movie has decisions that don't make sense to me without proper explanation. In the first fight scene against the rapist soldiers, why does our main character (a later revealed to be highly-decorated soldier) keep charging into a melee with a gun in her hand? Why do we get introduced to the sentient robot just for him to have no purpose other than shooting a guy and then running away? Why does she say "I'll give you one chance" in the bar scene? They already came back, they're going to kill you, shoot them while you have the initiative! Now skipping over the weird crewing up segment, why did the rebels not just decide to go for it? They were not getting more people anytime soon, and their end was on the doorstep. Boom, emperor gets hit with the club, and then the planet is razed with battleship guns that effectively create nuclear blasts on impact... While your LEADER is on the planet, straight-up boots on the ground THERE. Then, the capture of the main crew. That order to paralyze his crush was uncharacteristically cruel from what we'd seen before- He was clearly a pragmatist, not a sadistic asshole. Double error with this scene; WHY EVEN? Like you're giving this guy the *tool to free her?* What did you expect would happen?! *Also, also* on that scene, why was the leader down there? Like what is this guy *doing* right now? I'm not gonna explain how *that's* a bad idea, I shouldn't have to. Why did that rebel captain's spear pierce a military-grade turret's glass? Like really? (P.S. that rebel pilot that got shots in on the turret must've sucked ass like wow) Coming to the conclusion of that...skirmish, MC has a gun before she drops down on that pad to 1v1 the big bad guy, where did that go? At least show her losing it at some point, or running out of ammo. Overly long fight, both characters take multiple crippling blows that you'd figure only Bruce Lee would have a chance at surviving- I could let this slide due to something like gene mods or military implants, but like I said before, there's just no explanation presented for these things. Classic mistake of resurrecting bad guy, especially after he fucked up that hard. This could've been a moment where they'd show that the empire does, can and will not stop due to their seemingly endless resources and manpower, the only thing that changes is allocation. Of course, this movie had it's strong points. It wasn't bad as a movie if you didn't look too much into it, but was it worth the hype? I don't know. It had a very cool setting, seemingly inspired by W:40K and the like, but the way it was presented and the direction it took fell trough. Sincerely, some guy who saw the movie.
This movie had potential, too bad the story is basically nothing. The visuals are pick Snyder, amazing ! but lacking any story , cohesiveness Or character motivation or personality
He tried to make a Star Wars and ended up making a Battle Beyond the Stars.

I wish this came out when I was in middle school because I would have loved it.

Yes!
It’s the “Plan 9 From Outer Space “ of the 21st century.
well that sums up the movie, i think he will add the part where the Asian lady was asked to join to crew in the extended part🤣
Probably going to be 30 minutes backstory 😂

Bug's Life, Magnificent Seven and Rebel Moon are all based on the Akira Kurosawa movie Seven Samurai - do yourself a favour and watch that instead
Are you okay?
general titus didnt even get a fight scene 🤣
Here’s hoping we’ll see a super slow mo fight scene with him

There was enough @$$kicking to make it worthwhile. Story's all the same - it's how it's told.

It looks good but I was just bored.
