Always puts the customer at ease when the tree professional shows up in a Jimmy buffet shirt and climbing sandals🤣 You guys are too much.
Somewhere from above, Jed is watching this and laughing his halo off! It's wonderful to watch people work who love what they do and enjoy each other's company.
What happened to Jed
@@snowballil3133 ua-cam.com/video/v4NNNZjMcV0/v-deo.html
@@snowballil3133Unfortunately he passed away. He was cutting a tree and if I remember correctly, a limb that he couldn't see, fell and struck him. It's been a few months since his passing

~Randy the Mandy
Randy had to ditch his Hawaiian church shoes 🤣😂🤣😂😜
At the risk of being accused of racism... round here, they get called "Fijian Safety Boots". Most often, by Fijians...😂
Randy’s climbing socks now available @ sappy supplies 😂
😂
Oops, you beat me to it. Didn't see this when I posted 🤣
Randy should be in every video. Your guyses banter is hilarious. Love the mandels and safety socks.
Loved seeing Randy work even in his socks. He reminds me of my own uncle Randy, I can picture him doing something similar. Sadly my uncle Randy passed away back in 2013 due to cancer. You and Randy are quite the team and I truly enjoy seeing you two work together! Have a blessed weekend!
Randy is a savage you guys do killer work together it's a beautiful dynamic
lol Randy Savage (a.k.a. Macho Man) was a WWF (before WWE) and WCW professional wrestler. Both Randy the Mandy and Macho Man are great entertainers no doubt.
Randy is one of a kind
Very true HA!
just one more thing on the checklist to ask Randy for a job; can you bring your truck, chipper and work boots?
So True!
Dude this editor is incredible. He always uses the best clips, has the nicest and cleanest cuts. Really tells a story with what was probably 10 hours of footage
That was hysterical! Randy rocked it!😂😂😂 Another great video. 👏🏻👍🏻🍀
randy, you are a NW beast..... you know how to get shit done, and have fun doing it...
I’m really liking Randy’s shirt collection, especially that plumeria Aloha shirt in the previous video. And now the footwear collection, well!!
Randy is the Mandy. Love that dude.
Hey i just really stated following alot of yall and i just found out about yall good friend and from the bottom of heart im sorry for yall loss. I really am. The industry i was in a long time ago give me the same hurt that yall felt and feeling. I know how u feel. But i hope his family is amazing and please yall stay safe and never ever be ashamed to say no im not doing that job no matter what they offer. Been there done that. Not worth it. Yall be safe.
Been waiting for the sandal climbers! Disappointing to not see calked socks though😂
Love the videos! You guys do great work and always a laugh. Nice to see Randal’s mandals getting put to work!
Randy is a savage
I really love the videos with you and Randy. You both are characters who love what they do and have fun doing it.
Thats hardcore Randy, ditching the roman combat boots!
Once upon a time I trimmed a madrone in socks, that was hookless so no problem, this looked oh so uncomfortable!
Another great video. You guys kill it every time. Way to go.
Randy is a hoot!!! Love the video!
😂😂Y’all are a hoot!! Randy climbing wearing his Birkies, socks and Hawaiian shirt!
I pulled a big maple over with a tractor a couple weeks ago, and we got it to go where we wanted with a couple adjustments vs what you showed with the cottonwood. First thing is your back cut needed to be thicker towards the building side to offset the weight of the branch. Also, you can move the truck closer to the building to help some as well. If it starts going too far towards the building, cut some of the holding wood closer to the building and it will swing back away. Being a cottonwood this might not have worked as well vs a maple, but those are some things to try.
Also opening up the face cut allows it to use all the hinge wood instead of breaking off.
@@melvinkilgore5130 yeah a little more open would have helped guide it longer, but what he had should have been enough with some stuff to correct for the branch weight
Who works in flip flops in the woods.😂😂😂 randy the manly.😅
the best shirts and now the best socks
Randy needs his own line of climbing sandles with optional clip on safety toe
Jacob: Brought Randy, I really trust him, he knows a lot. Randy: Check out my new climbing rig! Jacob: Uhh, so anyhow, the tree is gonna... HAHAHA
Love the sox guy Randy !
Curious you should mention the dogs- talking to someone w/ a plasma table last night & I told her I wanted to make up a more aggressive set for my Milwaukee. Also started looking a bars because the tip sucks.
Next time Randy will be bear foot climbing 😂 Randy the man beast from the west 😂
Keep up the good work Double Stack.
Hey Guilty, the stable braid "sta-set" ropes have a lower elongation % when compared to the regular (non "sta-set") stable braid ropes. 😊
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody climb with socks, and a dang Hawaiian looking shirt lol 😂
Holy smokes i bet randy could run barefoot across legos! My feet were killing me just looking at him in spurs and sandals lmao
Enjoy hearing the gas powered chainsaw. Not the batteries.😊
🤣🤣🤣socks thats a tough Randy 👊
I love the Landy
Wow, Mahalo
good job Randy & Jake
Great job guys as always Jake be careful using your ax handle to lift stuff. I broke one of mine doing that just to give you a heads up. God bless stay safe.
Good video man
Its official; you need a winch and a bull bar on that rig. Year of construction; we did a lot of rigging with winch and pully. Wonder if that would have helped you directing the fall...
To this day I keep telling myself I'll get us a winch... I still haven't after decades of work. We still use come alongs/cable pullers because we're cheap and oldschool... and they work.
Electric winches are far too slow. Better to pull with a truck or a hydraulic winch
@@drakedezarzana1771 You don't always have room to drive and pull though, so maybe the hydraulic as you say.
Ur buggggin🤣
Dude! Randy Ricks!! 🕺🏿
Gotta be careful wearing Birkies long term. That "negative heel" caused internal heel spurs on both feet, 3x each! After the 4th operation for the second go 'round, doc said "no more Birkies!" Declined the 5th & 6th operation for the 3rd formation. Had to wear strong laceup boots only for a year to get rid of them spurs. Recovery after each operation was a bear! Wheelchair for 30 days, then crutches for 45 days, then soft cast for 45 days. Birkies do feel great until....
as a german ive never been prouder of randys choice of footwear!
Hey I've got some big boys in Idaho that fell in the last microburst. 120 firs still with a ton of tension on them, 3 ft bases. Tension wood is screaming. I'd love to see what you think about releasing that tension without killing yourself. I can send you some pics, lemme know if you want to advise. 150 acre property on Coeur d'Alene lake. I got most of it, ive never seen anything like this though.
Might need to port out that Milwaukee. 😅😅
We need to find ways to hack electric saws without frying them.
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I've never tried climbing a tree with sandals. And, never will.
if you put your burks in the fridge, it’s the best feeling your feet will ever experience on a super hot day.
Да джейкоб,у тебя напарник как на пляж на работу одевается😂 в шлёпках и цветной рубашке😂🤣
Omfg randythemandy you're the freakin best
Awesome
Is it just me or did Randy call Cirque du Soleil “Circus Olé”? 😂
Bro few branches better than the road. Cheers
Randy is a bloody weapon. He reminds me of me lol
As someone who had cut down trees and made other supposedly questionable decisions operating equipment in my osha approved steel toe-Ed sandals I love it I’ve blow my arch out before not having n curious about what kind of pain if any I’d be feeling standing barefoot on spikes for awhile
Randall's Mandal climbing shoes available at sappy supplies.....😂😂😂😂😂😂
I thought I had seen everything in life, and then I witnessed a man climbing a tree with Spiked Socks!!
Climbing in socks man and I get crap for not having my face shield down sometimes 😅👍
14:59 bless you
🤣 I gotta try that
Not until I saw your silhouette High up in that tree did I realize, Monkeys don’t wear boots. Y’all kick some (gr)ass!
The 3/4 inch Milwaukee impact driver has over 1600 foot points of torque. That’s still less than half of what Randy has in just one wrist.
🧐
I need to replace my .750 dia line in a badway
Hit me back when Randy forgets his pants,,,,
Salud 2 times 💥🛠️
A guy I used to work with decided to try to climb a chalk pinicle. He didn't have any crampons, so he tried duct taping some forks to his trainers. Those pieces of cutlery were never the same again 😂😂😂
OSHA approved socks 💪🏽😎
I tried climbing with cowboy boots and I thought that was terrible I can’t imagine sandals lol
Sometimes I kick limbs to make them flip and land flat. I'd break my toes in flops!!!
I love randy
There’s no one on earth like randy lol 😂
so I'm sure someone will have the answer for me but why wouldn't a conventional notch with a big open face cut have worked better? seems like it would have stayed longer falling in the desired direction b4 the hinge finally broke
It definitely would have worked better
It's cottonwood. The hinge will most likely completely break even if you have an extremely wide/tall face, long before the face cut closes. Some weak pines are like that too. On the opposite extreme, a shag bark hickory around here will sometimes just stop falling and stand at an angle when the face cut closes if you don't cut a face cut wide enough. Their hinges are insanely strong even when already bent quite a bit. Then you have to tickle the back cut until it snaps and it can slide back at you. A pole saw can help with that situation if you need it (and it would have to be small enough diameter for the pole saw bar); that way you're far from it if/when when it happens, because it's really fast when it does.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
Anh cưa hại cây rất khéo . mà cắt gốc cao quá 👍
Gota bring randy! Costs but do it easy. N funny
Hey Randy, what's do you call that technique at about the 12:45 minute mark? 🤣
I won 100 bucks like that when I was a young lineman. I can assure you socks suck to climb in!
Did you see that trunk twist 😮
nice Hawaiian shirt, and unconventional foot ware! nice drop with both trees!
You should've left more hinge connected on the far side and it would've went where you wanted it
Jacob I have a Stihl 190... Does anyone make dogs for this saw?
Why the Humboldt instead of traditional?
Geesh stay safe guys you to are hilarious though!
Damn sandals lol
I am surprised Tommy Bahama and Mephisto have not reached out to Randy yet.
How do you climb the trees? If it’s a secret I won’t beg but I’d surely like to know so I could get up trees more efficiently
look up tree climbing spikes or tree climbing spurs
Nevermind the Birk climbing footwear! It looked like he climbed a rope at the end.
From Birkinstocks to a Birch in Socks?
Don I served with many good soldiers that were challenged with map & compass. Did you also suffer from this. Antarctic "what were you doing up there?".
Open face cut for back leaners. Is the one to go..
You could have tried a shark fin cut, but it was a pressure situation...
😀
Are those socks and sandals OSHA approved….😂
Randy has some prototype safety socks on! 🤣
I've never understood why more guys don't use a winch instead of truck or tracror- you have so much control , slow minor adjustments
4 low is pretty controllable and most tractors have granny gears that are easily controllable at a creeping pace. Or you could do what we do and use come-alongs or cable pullers manually.
@happycamper6352 I have a winch and a tree mounted trailer hitch - just for thoes times I really want the warm and fuzzy
That last tree was almost square.
Jacob, I am starting my business in Virginia who did you get your insurance through? Pls hit me up when able brother
Where in Va?
