I'm so glad you found it helpful! Your comment made my day!!! I hope you find more on my channel that interests you. I have another video that shows 5 more ways to use foil without a machine. I'm so glad you stopped by 😊 💗🤗 Hugs....Janie
This is an awesome tutorial. Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars. To me, this is what DIY is all about. Getting the effect you want with alternate methods, instead of buying a specialized tool for every little thing.
I'm so glad you found my video and my channel!!! I always look for the best and least expensive ways to do things. Besides not needing a machine, you can't put a picture frame or a jar through a machine but this way you can foil things like that....not just cards. I have other videos on using transfer foil (Deco Foil) that you might like as well. And if you like DIY projects you really need to scroll through my videos. I am in to upcyling too....another great way to make awesome things on a budget. I hope you subscribe and look through my other videos. Thank you so much :) Hugs...Janie
Wow, thank you! Since then I have put out another video with 5 more ways to use transfer foil without a machine. I believe I have it linked on the screen as this video is ending, and in the description box. You might like that one too 😊 Thanks so much for stopping by again 💗🤗 Hugs....Janie
I know its 2yrs since this video, but I am now watching it and I must say I enjoy your tutorial.. So simple and easy to show us..thank you... Beautiful
Thank you for watching.....it doesn't matter that it's 2 years old, in fact I'm thrilled that people are still watching it. The information is still relevent and the fact that you enjoyed it is proof of that. So THANK YOU! I have several other videos on using transfer foil and hope watch them too and maybe find something useful in them :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much 💗 I was doing foiling long before this video. The only money saved was because I didn't buy any of the machines.....that's where you save. I'm happy you like this and hope you have watched my other video sharing 5 more ways to foil without a machine. Thanks for stopping by 😊 Hugs....Janie
You are so welcome! I'm so happy you like this. I don't know if you have seen my second one, but here is the link just in case because I think you will enjoy it too. 5 More Ways To Use Deco Foil WITHOUT A MACHINE! ua-cam.com/video/gZqDYg5cwqg/v-deo.html And....maybe you might like this one too Transfer Gel Duo Review & Card Share With Deco Foil and Flock ua-cam.com/video/1hBn2Kr1hsU/v-deo.html Thanks so much for stopping by 😊 Hugs....Janie
You are a very special lady. Your smile and gentleness and ease of doing things. I am thrilled at the methods you have shown, ass I am new to foiling. Best I have ever seen. As mentioned by others, This will save me money by not having to buy all those expensive don't need tools. I look forward to lots more of your wonderful tutorials. Lots of love Jo x
Thank you so much Jo.....you are so sweet! I have been foiling for about 10 years.....before I ever heard of the machines or other expensive ways to do it. I didn't make this video until I heard about the other ways and thought I would let my viewers know of a less expensive way. I have another video that might interest you, and I think I have it linked on the end screen of this video and in the description box below this video. It's called 5 More Ways To Use Deco Foil WITHOUT A MACHINE. I have a playlist on my channel with all of my Deco Foil / Transfer Foil Techniques in it......some however show using a laminator or iron or even how to apply it to fabric (washable). I'm not sure if any of those would interest you but just wanted you to know. One thing I love about not using a machine or laminator is that I can add foil to dimensional projects that would never be able to fit in a machine. I have used this on home decor items and not just cards. There are so many possibilities. I hope you have fun foiling and be sure to watch my other video to learn 5 more ways. Have a wonderful day :) Hugs....Janie
ugh thank you so much. i have been watching over 3hrs of gold foil techniques and getting stressed by the min. clean. simple. inexpensive. no fancy tools. THANK YOU.
Thank you for watching!!! I'm so glad it was helpful. Good news.....I will be putting out a new video on another way to apply transfer foil....and I think you are going to like it. Keep your eyes open probably in the middle of June :) Hugs...Janie
I hate asking so many questions but when you find someone like you who is talented and kind enough to be patient I have to ask! We all started somewhere 😁
Tricia you can ask all the questions you want....that's how we all learn and grow. And yes, we all started somewhere. So never worry about asking questions. In fact, if there is something you would like to me do a video about just let me know and I'll see what I can do. And....THANK YOU SO MUCH for your sweet comments....you made my day :) Hugs...Janie
I appreciate videos showing the different techniques we can use to craft without always spending the big bucks. I’ve never used foil because I don’t have the foil machine. Now I’m going to try a few of these techniques. Jane your channel is super and I’m having a lot of fun watching your tutorials.
Thank you so much for watching.....it makes me happy to know that my videos are helpful and of interest to you. My goal is to make my videos easy to follow and to make crafting inexpensive and easy. I'm so glad you are enjoying my videos and hope I continue to make videos you will want to watch :) Hugs....Janie
I bought a BUNCH of "deco foil" (in a bundle) with some Cricut transfer tools. I did not know They are NOT compatible. I was VERY HAPPY to see Janie's video. I now have some great ideas how to use my deco foil without a machine. Great Job Janie, you made me feel a ton better!
I'm glad this was helpful. I have other videos including another one with 5 more ways to use the foil without a machine, and the some on how to use it with a laminator, and one showing how to apply it to fabric (and it's washable)....just look in my Playlists where you will find them all in one list. I think you will enjoy foiling. Thanks for stopping by :) Hugs....Janie
You are such a good teacher I think I can do everything you showed us. I have been afraid of trying fold but now I know some of your secret methods. Thank you!
You are so welcome! I have another video you might like with 5 more ways to foil without a machine. I believe it is on the screen as this video is ending, and a link in the description box too. Oh thank you so much for subscribing and I'm so happy you like the video!!! Comments like yours mean the world to me! I don't why they make it difficult but it was my goal to make it easy and inexpensive for all of my wonderful subbies and viewers. Thank you so much for stopping by :) Hugs...Janie
Good news.....I will be putting out a new video on another way to apply transfer foil....and I think you are going to like it. Keep your eyes open probably in the middle of June :) Hugs...Janie
Henna du plessis I never wanted to buy the machine if I would only use it once and a while. Now I'm going to get some supplies used in this video. Well done. Thank you so much.
Eleanor I hope you also saw my other video I recently put up on more ways to apply transfer foil. I think you might like that one too. Thanks so much for watching :) Hugs...Janie

It was so nice to see who you were Thanks for all your explanations I don't understand the explanations without the measurements you did it all I'm sure their are many others like me and I will surely be directing them to your page
I'm so happy you stopped by and that you like my video 😊 However I am confused about what measurements you are referring to. This is strictly a technique video showing 7 ways to apply transfer foil without a machine.....there are no measurements involved. I'm sorry that I don't know what you mean. But I am thankful that you like the video and will be directing others to it....thank you 💗 Hugs....Janie
Love your finished black gold CLASSY card. Just enjoying your video shares not just this one as I hunt for others experiences with different ways to achieve foiling. I read recently that foiling is no longer the rage. HA HA HA to them. It most certainly is. Your classy card proves how great it is. Upscale not too fussy too. My personality leans toward clean simple lines and designs without too over the top fuss and muss. So many card making designer and companies take to to the too much stage in an attempt I suppose to sell more stuff. But the great thing is we all can make it our own and reject what isn't US and take with us the bits that are. Celebrating our differences and the magic that makes us all individuals. Keep up your videos I need to catch up to more you have to offer. Kudos to you. Everyone stay safe.
I love foiling without a machine, but have other videos and some include a machine. If you haven't already seen it I think you might like this one 5 More Ways To Use Deco Foil WITHOUT A MACHINE! ua-cam.com/video/gZqDYg5cwqg/v-deo.html I also have a Playlist with all of my foiling videos in it. I totally agree with you about liking the simpler things.....if you watch enough of my videos you will see I'm not an "over the top" kind of crafter. But yes.....I think we can watch videos and take what we like and leave what we don't and create what is our own style. When I first started on UA-cam (and my first design team) I felt like my cards were so plain compared to those that make cards that don't fit in envelopes. It took me awhile to realize that there were people out there that appreciated my style and that there was nothing wrong with what I did.....it was just a simpler style that is perfect for beginners but that can still give the advanced cardmaker some inspiration. I'm so happy you like my videos and I hope you find more on my channel that you like. Thanks so much for stopping by 😊💗🤗 Hugs......Janie (MT girl)
Oh I'm so glad you found this video and watched it...better late than never!!! If you are intersted in foiling and want more ideas and inspiration I have a couple newer videos (several all together).....one has 5 more ways to use it without a machine.....and you can find them all in one of my Playlists or you can scroll through my videos and maybe discover other new things. WOW!! I cant thank you enough for this FANTASTIC tutorial. I have been contemplating the foil thing and by these methods, seems easy enough to tackle! Really WELL DONE! Blessings to you from the Great Pacific Northwest, Lakewood Washington!
WOW Stacy....you just made my day!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment!!! I'm so glad this was helpful for you....that is my goal. Thank you so much for watching :) Hugs...Janie (from Montana)
Good news.....I will be putting out a new video on another way to apply transfer foil....and I think you are going to like it. Keep your eyes open probably in the middle of June :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much for watching!!! I discovered transfer foil years ago when I got some for my YuDu screen printing.....I started thinking if it sticks to the special glue for fabric, what else will it stick to. And the experimenting began and I loved that I could add foil to ANY craft. When they came out the MINC machine and others I just thought "LOL....you can't stick a frame or jar throught that".....and wasn't going to spend that kind of money. Eventually I made this video but wan't sure if anyone would really be interested in the "old school" way to use it....and to my surprise there are many people out there like you and I'm so glad I made this video. I love sharing ideas and tips with my viewers....thank you for being one :) Hugs...Janie
I like that you showed example to use it without machine. Not everyone had Santa Clause room full of tech tools. So nice to now some home examples. Thank you for that! 👍🏻
Oh thank you so much!!! You have made my day 😊 I think you will also enjoy the other one that shows 5 more ways to apply the foil without a machine. I believe I have that linked at the end of this video and also a link in the description box. Thanks for stopping by 😊 Hugs....Janie
Thank you so much for posting this video. I've been wanting to use the foil stuff for a long time, but don't want to invest in machine's and stuff just to do it. As if the supplies aren't enough on their own already!! So I appreciate the time you took to show others how to do it so many different ways.
Thank you so much for all of your sweet comments!!! You made my day!!! I agree.....things are expensive enough and having to buy yet ANOTHER machine is just crazy. I had been using transfer foil long before they came up with using a machine which is why I decided to share that information with others. I actually have another video on applying transfer foil that will be on here in a couple weeks so be looking for it :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much for watching!!! I'm so glad this was helpful and inspiring. If you haven't already seen it I have another video (a couple weeks ago) with a couple more ways to apply transfer foil....and in a couple months I will have another one. If you have any questions I'm here for you :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you, Janie. I saw the other foiling video before I knew about this one. It's also very helpful. I'm sorry to hear you don't like the MINC foil (or that it's your least favorite) because another You Tuber showed new stuff at Tuesday Morning recently and they've got tons of MINC foils and products. I appreciate your opinion, though, and will still clear of the MINC.
Thanks for watching. Personally I like it best without a machine....this is how I use it. And you are so welcome....I hope watch my other videos on transfer foil and maybe even find some other videos of mine that you like :) Hugs...Janie
Darlene thank you so much for watching and I'm so happy you like the video!!! I learned most of these techniques long before transfer foil became a fad so I thought I would share them with crafters that don't want to buy a machine or just wanted to see a variety of ways to use it. I have a few other videos on using Deco Foil that might interest you. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie
Oh thank you so much! You made my day. It makes me happy that it's helpful for you. I think now you will have fun with your foil. I have other videos on using transfer foil but this is my favorite :) Hugs...Janie
Glad you enjoyed it! I also have a video called 5 More Ways To Use Deco Foil WITHOUT A MACHINE and I just added that link to the description box below this video but it is also linked on the end screen of this video so you can't miss it. Thank you so much for watching!!! Your wonderful comment means so much to me. I'm sorry you don't have Flitter Glu where you live, but I hope you will be able to find some of the other products. I will have another video on applying transfer foil in a couple weeks so be looking for that :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much!!! I have others....newer ones like this plus others on using Deco Foil / transfer foil. If you go to my Playlist you will find one in there with all of my foiling tutorials in it. Enjoy :) Hugs...Janie
I bought a Minc foil and later found out I need a machine. Your tutorial gives me a complete different way to approach this foil. I will use it with some of the adhesives you suggested. Thanks
Thank you so much....I'm glad this video was helpful. I will tell you that Minc foil is my least favorite so I hope you get the chance to try some other brands. Also, I have another video on applying transfer foil that will be on here in a couple weeks so be looking for it :) Hugs...Janie
I'm anxious to try the methods you showed us. They are much faster than using a laminator. You made it look easy. The card you made with the hearts is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much Sally! It is quite easy....and the cool thing is you can add the foil to so many things that WON"T FIT in a laminator or MINC machine like frames and jars for example. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie
Thanks for stopping by. Glad it was helpful! I've just watched your video for the second time as foiling is a completely new skill for me. Thanks for making such an informative video, keeping it simple, so easy to remember the steps and for sharing the things that didn't work as well as the things that worked well. Mama Cash
Mama Cash thank you so very much for your wonderful comments!!! You made my day! I do my best to make things easy to do and easy to follow......and try to find inexpensive ways to do things. I hope I continue to make videos that you will enjoy :) Hugs...Janie

Great job Janie! Very informative and well done. Thanks so much for sharing. I don’t have a foiling machine but I do have foils and a laminator. I haven’t been experienced in using the laminator, and I have not been happy with that. But you have definitely shown me lots of different ways to foil! Thank you so much!
Hi Jeanne! As you can see, you don't need a foil machine OR a laminator to use the foil. And I have several other videos on using foil that might interest you, including one that will be up tomorrow and one that is from about a month ago. But if you look in my Playlists you will find one with all my foil videos togther......including one on how to put it on fabric (it's washable). Oh thank you so much!!! That is so good to hear. There is another one that didn't get in the video and only works for certain techniques....glue sticks (not hot glue but the sticky kind that you use to glue things). I show it in a video I will have out next month (part of a project), and also show it in a video I did a couple weeks ago (Heart Wall Hanging). There are just things that can't go through a machine even if I had one (I actually have a laminator I use for some other foil techniques). thankyou, thank you, thank you I cannot believe I spent money on that minc machine. this video is so great, and cannot wait to try everything you showed. I have so many of those patterns, that you HAVE to use with the minc, but this is great.
I'm so glad you found my video and wish you would have found it before investing in the MINC machine. Please share this video so that others will learn about this too. I have two other videos on using transfer foil that might interest you and I hope you watch. I was lucky enough to learn about transfer foil on my own with my own experimenting before I ever heard about the MINC machine and so I never bought one. I'm so happy this video has been helpful for you and others. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie (If you haven't already left me a thumbs up please do...it will help others find this video. And thank you so much for your comment)
Thank you. I have a laminator but I have been doing it without a machine for years because when I started using transfer foil it was for my YuDu screen printing and I just started experimenting. At that time I had never heard of a machine to do this with. So I agree....these other ways are fun and offer more creative options.....especially if you wanted to add this to a jar or frame that you obviously couldn't put through a machine :) Hugs...Janie
Thank u sooooooooooo much. I've been struggling howto do the foil on a beach bag with the stencil process. Thanks for all the other easy ways to craft with foil. You've definitely been a blessing for my craft use today and for more. Btw, I love that black, white, and gold card. It's beautiful.
I tried it with dollar tree adhesive and foil sheets that come in a pack of 20 and it did not work. I believe the foil sheet is to thick. It doesn't have an adhesive back. I do not know what to do now.
Oh thank you so much for your sweet comment!!! I'm so glad my video was helpful for you!!! Wanting to put it on a beach bag might require heat setting it.....after getting the foil on the bag (as long as the bag is a fabric that can be ironed) cover the foil with a teflon sheet (if you have one) or a thin cloth or parchment paper, and iron for at least a minute or two to set it. I have a Yudu (screen print by Provo Craft) and that is where I first learned about transfer foil. Have fun experimenting. And do a test on a fabric before doing it on your beach bag. I hope this helps. Also I have another video on using transfer foil that you might find useful :) Hugs...Janie
jjgz4ever U are welcome. The bag is fabric but the sheets of foil are not transfer they are foil sheets from the dollar tree. Will they work the same if I tried the heat since the sheets are thicker?
Transfer foil does not have an adhesive back. It is very thin and flimsy. As you saw in my video, you apply it color side up and (in this video) apply to the adhesive.....it then pulls the foil off the sheet. There are a veriety of these kind of foils. It appears I put links to everything except the foils. Do you need links so you can see what it is and how much it costs?
So sorry for your experience, but this does not work with normal foils.....this is a special kind of foil. I explained in a message to you. I will be happy to answer any questions and direct you in anyway you need :) Hugs...Janie
Hi Regina....so sorry I didn't see your comment sooner. Thank you for stopping by and I'm so happy you like this video. I have been doing this for years....before the machines came out....and I just want my viewers so see how easy it is without a machine. Also just think off all the things that CAN"T go through a machine.....like a picture frame or trinket box, etc (by the way, I just did a Paris themed trinket box and used Deco Foil....I hope you watch). I have other videos on using Deco Foil (transfer foil) and I hope you like them too :) Hugs...Janie
Nancy thank you soooo much for your sweet comment...you made my day!!! I'm glad this video was helpful for you. I have another video on using transfer foil that you might like too. Thank you so much for watching :) Hugs...Janie

I have other videos on using transfer foil (Deco Foil), including another one with 5 more ways to do it without a machine. Thanks for stopping by 😊 Hugs....Janie
Janie I had no idea what to do with the foil that I see all the time in stores. Oh my goodness now I know how I can use it and its so easy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful card and how you made it. Next time I see foil I'll be buying some!!
Thank you so much for watching! This is one of my favorite videos. I was using foil before they came out with the machines and so I thought I would share some techniques for those that don't have a machine, don't want to buy a machine, or want to foil things that won't fit throught a machine (which is what I do a lot). I have other videos on foiling and also have a couple planned for the near future that might interest you.....plus I have projects that I have used it on even though the title of the videos may not reflect that. I think you will love using foil. My favorite is brands put out by Thermoweb such as Deco Foil and Gina K Designs. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much for watching!!! I'm so glad this was helpful and that it saved you time. I have another video on applying transfer foil without a machine and you might find that helpful too. Have fun foiling :) Hugs...Janie
I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. I always dreamt of doing foiling on cards, but let the opportunity pass me by thinking it must be so expensive because of a special machine that one has to use. However, I am so excited because I came across your video. Thank you for sharing. Keep on crafting :)
I'm so happy you found my video and that it's helpful for you. I hate that companies make crafting so expensive when it doesn't have to be. I hope you share this video with your friends so others will know this too. There are so many things you can add foil to.....things that you couldn't do with their machine, like picture frames and bottles, etc. I hope you can now enjoy adding foil to your crafts. Thank you so much for watching and for your sweet comment :) Hugs...Janie (I hope you check out my other videos)
Vicki thank you so much for watching....I'm so glad my video was helpful for you! I started using transfer foil about 8 years ago when I got the YuDu screen printer. Provo Craft sold transfer foil that could be used with it and I decided to find other ways to use it. I had never heard of a machine for transfer foil and not even sure they had come up with one yet......and when I did hear about the machine it was such a big deal. I didn't want to buy the machine and finally decided I should make this video for other people that didn't want to buy a machine but wanted to use the foil. I guess it was a good decision because it has helped many people like yourself and that makes me so happy! One of the things I like most about these techniques is you are not limited to flat things that would fit through a machine.....you can do this on jars and frames and so many dimensional projects. I have other video on using transfer foil (Deco Foil) that might interest you as well. You can scroll through my videos or you can go to my Playlist and find them all in one spot. Thank you so much and have fun with your foiling :) Hugs...Janie
Even though I'm very familiar with all these methods on adhering foil, I still got inspired to do this again! I have a lot of fun foils and it really does make cards pop! Although I will say I had never heard of flitter glue, which is a surprise to me! I really like how that turned out, the fact you can use it on stamps - just like you said! I'll need to look for that 😁❤
Sad to say Flitter Glu is no longer available.....but I have been playing around with something else for a couple years and should make another video 😊 As you can tell this video is pretty old and products come and go. I have been doing this long before foil machines came around and then after the machines came out and people were complaining about the cost I decided to do this video and later another one. I'm sure there are many ways to use foil without a machine and I bet you even have some ideas you can share with me 😊💗🤗 Hugs....Janie
Oh thank you for watching!!! I'm so glad my video eased your fears. This is my favorite video on transfer foil but I also have several others so I hope you watch them and learn a variety of ways to use it and which ways work best for you :) Hugs...Janie
just found you ,and so glad i did ,thank you for showing ways to make foiling easy without machines .I am new to all of this and cannot wait to get started ,so thanks again .!
Thank you!!! I"m so glad you found me too!!! I'm happy you found this helpful. I have other videos on using transfer foil too....one more that does't using use a machine (unless you consider an iron an machine...lol) and my newest ones that require a laminator, You can get laminator for under $20 on Amazon (about the same cost as a paper pack). They are worth watching if you want to learn more about uses for transfer foils. I hope you enjoy them and I hope you find other videos of mine helpful too :) Hugs...Janie
Pat thank you so much for watching and for your wonderful comment. I'm so happy to be able to make videos like this for everyone. I have another video on applying transfer foil that will be on here around the middle of June and I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie
Hi, I'm an Aussie artist looking to put foil on some of my paintings, and this is a fabulous site. I'm off to get some zig 2 way glue. Thank you so much for your time and effort and I have learned so much. Have a great Christmas.
Thank you so much for watching...I'm so happy this was helpful. You are one of the people this video was made for.....someone that does a craft that can't go through a machine. Some people don't want to buy a laminator (and definitely not an expensive foil machine either) OR they want to add foil to things that just can't go through a machine (I do a lot of that). I am happy to be of help to my fellow crafters. Merry Christmas :) Hugs...Janie
Deborah thank you so much for watching and for your wonderful comment. I have another video on applying transfer foil that will be on here around the middle of June and I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie
Thankl you so much!!! I'm so glad you like this and it was helpful for you. I have been using transfer foil for YEARS.....before I ever heard of using a machine.....and wanted to share that. I personal have never bought a MINC machine or any machine just for foiling.....but I do own a laminator that I can use for this if I want. But not all crafts can fit through a laminator....LOL....so these methods work best. However I do have a few other videos on using transfer foil (Deco Foil) that might interest you. Enjoy your foils :) Hugs...Janie
One of the most useful videos I have seen in a while. Thank you. Not sure which of the products are available across the Atlantic so will have to research suitable alternatives.
Thank you for watching!!! I 'm so glad this was helpful. Hopefully you can find some of the products where you live. Good news.....I will be putting out a new video on another way to apply transfer foil....and I think you are going to like it. Keep your eyes open probably in the middle of June :) Hugs...Janie
I knew about the double sided tape and the glues. I was very surprised that flitter glue didn't need to dry like the zig pen. I have been wanting to do some foiling. I honestly think it was insane to spend that much on a machine that heidi swap was selling. I love going back to the basics!! Thanks for sharing your different techniques. It reminded me trying them again. I'll be watching the other video you mentioned as well. Thanks again.
Thank you so much for watching. I'm glad it was helpful. I agree that spending all that money on a machine is rediculous, especially when there are ways to use the foil without a machine. I have been using the foil before they ever came out with the machine. Have fun trying the different techniques and I think you will like the other video as well. I will probably have another video on using transfer foil but it will probably be a couple months before it get it done. I make my video ahead of time and then schedule them on UA-cam....I already have videos up and scheduled through the end of August....so look for it in September maybe. Happy Crafting :) Hugs...Janie
Oh thank you so much!!! I am so hahppy that this will halp you and save you some money!!! I have two other videos on transfer foil that might be helpful too....I hope you watch them. Congrats on the upcoming wedding :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much for watching and for your very nice comment. I started using transfer foil befor it was a thing with machines so that is how I have these ideas. However if you ever want to do the methods that require a machine you can pick up a laminator cheap at Amazon. I have several other videos on using transfer foil (Deco Foil) that be of interest to you :) Hugs...Janie
This was a very nice tutorial. The only thing folks need to know about using Flitter Glue is that you must put your stamps immediately in water so that the glue doesn't stick to the stamp and ruin your stamp. I put both the block and stamp in the water to ensure both are clean.
Thank you for watching! Sorry I didn't think of that, I guess I forget that not everyone cleans their stamps immediately like I do. I don't soak them in water though but I do use a stamp cleaner. I'm pretty serious about keeping my stamps clean. But I should have thought about the fact that others might not be as conscientious :) Hugs...Janie
Janet thank you so much for watching and for your wonderful comment. I'm so happy to be able to make videos like this for everyone. I have another video on applying transfer foil that will be on here around the middle of June and I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much for watching!!! I'm so happy this was helpful for you. This video reflects the ways I have been using transfer foil for years.....before I ever heard of a machine to do it with. I keep learning new ways as I go along and try to do videos along the way. I have a few other videos on using transfer foil (Deco Foil) that might interest you.....I hope you find them and watch...check my Playlist on my channel :) Hugs...Janie
So happy you found my channel!!! I hope you come back and find more that interests you. If you are looking for ways to use Deco Foil without a machine I have another video with 5 more ways and it's linked on the screen at the end of this video and also in the description box. Thank you so much for stopping by 😊 Hugs....Janie
Thank you so much!!! I'm so glad this was helpful. There are so many ways to use transfer foil.....you should check out my other videos "More Ways To Apply Transfer Foil Without A Machine" and "How To Apply Deco Foil To Fabric (Washable)"....I think you will find them both quite informative. Happy crafting :) Hugs...Janie
Oh, a most wonderful video! I also had trouble with the Ranger Sticky Embossing powder last year, and was so disappointed! So I really love your ideas and am anxious to get started on them ALL! Thank you! Gerre Arnold
Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm so happy you like these foiling ideas. I have several more videos on foiling......one fairly new....but you can find them all in one place in my Playlists. I hope you find other videos on my channel that interest you as well. Have a blessed day :) Hugs....Janie
Thank you so much! I'm happy you like this video and the techniques. I have other videos on using Deco Foil and if you check in my Playlists you will find a playlist with them all together including other techniques without a machine. However I have bad news......Flitter Glu is no longer available. I have another stamping technique but I need to perfect it before I share it. Thank you for stopping by :) Hugs....Janie
Wow, I was just getting ready to buy that new Press and Go Foil machine. I don't need to spend any money at this time (maybe I'll get one later), but you sure saved me a bundle for right now. Thanks so much. I don't know how I got here (and I know it wasn't an accident), but I'm certainly glad I found you! Bev (5/6/2017) The card was beautiful!
Thank you so much Bev.....I'm glad this was helpful for you. STAY TUNED.....I have another video on applying transfer foil without a machine that I think you will appreciate but you will have to wait until the 3rd Saturday in June. DON'T MISS IT :) Hugs...Janie

Anna thank you so much for watching and subscribing!!! I'm glad you found this video helpful and I hope you find more of my videos that you like. I recently put up another video on applying transfer foil that you might find interesting as well. I would love to know more about you and what kind of crafting you do :) Hugs...Janie
Hi Paula.....well the good news is thes methods work on things that CAN"T go through the MINC....like a vase or a frame....things that are too thick or breakable or curved. I hope you have fun trying these methods :) Hugs...Janie
Jamie I'm so glad this was helpful for you. I have been using transfer foil long before they came out with the machine (which I don't own) and I'm happy to share some of the ways I've been using it. I have another video on applying transfer foil that might interest you as well. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie
Oh thank you so much for your sweet comment!!! I'm so happy you found it informative and that it has inspired you to try it yourself. I also have another video on applying transfer foil that is different from this one....it might be of interest to you :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you Sandy....I love sharing easy and inexpensive ways to do things....especially if it includes using things you might already have in your craft room. Have fun playing with foil!!! Hope the video wasn't too long....hee hee hee :) Hugs...Janie
Wow! So many awesome comments - congrats to you. This is indeed a super video and I am very happy to have learned about all your techniques. Really well presented - thank you! I did buy the Minc a while ago. I got it for the same price as the 6in one so ... Yesterday I found a pack of lamination pouches for the Minc so that was good. Still, these adhesive methods are great because I don't have to plug in the machine for small projects. Win/win, I'd say. I've subscribed :)
Robin thank you so much for watching and subscribing!!!! I so appreciate that....and am happy that my video was helpful. I have been using transfer foil long before the Minc machine so that is why I have these ideas I shared. There are more ways but I haven't gotten around to doing more videos.....well not true actually, I do have another video on applying transfer foil that might interest you....here is the link ua-cam.com/video/L4U3B4Yp0xE/v-deo.html I hope you find other videos of mine that interest you too. OH....BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY VIDEO....I'm having a giveaway that you are welcome to enter. I'm also having a giveaway in my Cold Porcelain video if that is something that interests you! Anyway....thank you so much for being a part of what I do and being a supportive subbie :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much! Glad it was helpful! Even more tips in the next video 5 More Ways.....should be linked on the screen at the end of this video and also in the description box below the video. Or you can look in my Playlsts for the Deco Foil / Transfer Foil playlist with even more foiling videos. Enjoy 😊 Hugs....Janie
@@janiethecraftprincess Actually, I found the second video first and saved it to watch later. And I figured that if it said 5 >MORE< videos that there must be one before it. I can't wait to see what else you came up with!
Oh wow....thank you sooooo much for your sweet comment and for watching!!! I'm so glad you like this!!! I discovered all these techniques BEFORE they ever came out with the machines and before I had ever heard of Deco Foil or MINC or anything. I was using YuDu transfer foil that was for applying to t-shirts and stuff and decided to see if it would work other ways....and it did!!! I have other videos on applying transfer foil (Deco Foil) that might interest you too.....I hope you take a look. Have a wonderful day :) Hugs...Janie
Oh thank you so much!!! I'm so happy you like this video and I hope you watch more of my videos. I have several on transfer foil (Deco Foil) ..... you can find those easier in my Playlist. Have a blessed day :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you again. I immediately spent money on the flitterglu and foil but u still saved me a ton a $ and sent me on a new fun direction. I personally like all of the looks you demonstrated over embossing, seems Im in a small percentage there lol. I'll make sure to catch up and keep up with your videos 😁
Thanks for that video. been wanted to do stuff with foil, but not spending alot of money on the different tools to do it.. thank you again..just subscribed also
Hi Laurie....I'm so glad this video was helpful. I know how you feel about not wanting to spend a lot money on machines and things to do foiling. I have been doing it long before all that stuff came along and that is why I made this video. I have other videos on using transfer foil / Deco Foil.....so many ways to use it. I also have videos with projects I made and have shown how to use Deco Foil using a glue stick (look for one this Saturday). Thank you so much for subscribing....that really means a lot to me....and I hope you find other videos of interest. I know I have almost 5 years of videos to scroll through but I also have some of them categorized in my Playlists if you want to look there. Again....thank you so much :) Hugs....Janie
Thank you very much for this I bought the deco foil by accident I thought it would work with my cricut maker with the foil pen you saved me money as I though I would have to throw it away thank you
Oh don't throw it away!!! I have other videos on using Deco Foil......check out the video links on the screen as my video is ending and also links in the description box. Have fun :) Hugs.....Janie (Oh also check out my videos on the Cricut Foil.....I have 2 and they are fairly recent so just scroll through my videos)
Yay!!! I'm so glad you found my video and that it is helpful for you. I was using foil long before I knew about a machine or laser printers......and doing it without those things is still my favorite way to use it. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you so much....I knew you would appreciate it. And hopefully you saw the link to Tasha's video where she shares the Deco Foil pen. I hope this gives you ideas :) Hugs...Janie
This is probably one of the best instructional videos I've ever seen. Thank you. 🇨🇦
Soo true ❤
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Your comment made my day!!! I hope you find more on my channel that interests you. I have another video that shows 5 more ways to use foil without a machine. I'm so glad you stopped by 😊 💗🤗 Hugs....Janie
Thank you so much 😊💗🤗 Hugs....Janie
I AGREE!!
Because of your comment, Patti, as well as Janie's reply, I just pressed the "subscribe" button to this UA-cam channel. Thank you, Janie!
So true.
Hi, I have just watched this again, 4 years on, just to remind me. Thank You Janie for your inspiration.
I wonder how much money you have saved since you posted this videos! I’m here 6 years on and still grateful. Thanks
I know this is an old video Janie - but you're awesome. Thank you so much for teaching me how to do all of this in 20 minutes.
Just a quick note to let you know my new video is up on MORE WAYS TO APPLY TRANSFER FOIL WITHOUT A MACHINE......I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie
You can also look in my Playlists where I have a list with most of my foiling videos. Have fun 😊 Hugs....Janie

Just a quick note to let you know my new video is up on MORE WAYS TO APPLY TRANSFER FOIL WITHOUT A MACHINE......I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie

Wow. Great ideas. I would never have thought about lots of these ideas. Best UA-cam on this subject. Thank you, all the way from Australia.
Wow, thank you! Glad it was helpful. You might also want to watch my video 5 More Ways To Use Deco Foil WITHOUT A MACHINE. I also have other videos on using transfer foil, including how to adhere it to fabric and it's washable. I have a playlist with all of my transfer foil tutorials in it. Have fun! Merry Christmas :) Hugs....Janie
You are wonderful! The best video ever. You cut out all the boring stuff and I love seeing the finished project.
Oh thank you so much!!!! I really appreciate your sweet comment and am so happy you like my video ....you made my day :) Hugs...Janie
Just now watched for first time almost 4 years later. Janie, thank you. Your video gives me courage to try some of these techniques today! xoxo
Have fun :) Hugs...Janie
The BEST I have seen and without a machine and extra cost...thank you..
Wow....thank you so much!!! I'm so happy that you like this. I love finding ways to make things easy and inexpensive for my viewers. Crafting shouldn't be so expensive. I hope you give it a try :) Hugs...Janie
Good news.....I will be putting out a new video on another way to apply transfer foil....and I think you are going to like it. Keep your eyes open probably in the middle of June :) Hugs...Janie

Just a quick note to let you know my new video is up on MORE WAYS TO APPLY TRANSFER FOIL WITHOUT A MACHINE......I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie
Thank you for making foiling so easy where you don't have use any thing special.
I'm so glad this was helpful for you. I try to find ways to do things that anyone can do even if they don't have machines and tools :) Hugs...Janie
best of all the vids i've watched on this, this is the one ya want folks
Just a quick note to let you know my new video is up on MORE WAYS TO APPLY TRANSFER FOIL WITHOUT A MACHINE......I hope you like it :) Hugs...Janie
What an awesome tutorial, Janie! I learned tons and you have inspired me. My mind is abuzz with all the ways I can use these methods. Thank you!
Even with out a machine.I just love....it.Thank you so....much.
Thanks for watching. Personally I like it best without a machine....this is how I use it. And you are so welcome....I hope watch my other videos on transfer foil and maybe even find some other videos of mine that you like :) Hugs...Janie
Thanks so much for showing how to foil without a machine. Your video was great!!!!!
I can't believe this its increadible. I thank you from bottom of my heart. I have the foil, but could not know how to use it. You are great. MJ

I bought a Minc foil and later found out I need a machine. Your tutorial gives me a complete different way to approach this foil. I will use it with some of the adhesives you suggested. Thanks

I'm anxious to try the methods you showed us. They are much faster than using a laminator. You made it look easy. The card you made with the hearts is beautiful. Thanks
for sharing.
Thank you so much Sally! It is quite easy....and the cool thing is you can add the foil to so many things that WON"T FIT in a laminator or MINC machine like frames and jars for example. Have fun :) Hugs...Janie

Best video I've seen to do foil without heat! I've done foil with tape but the flitter glue was great.
I agree. This was a great video on how to use the transfer foil. I have a machine, but this seems much more fun. Thank You.
Love your card and how you brought the project together at the end! Very Nice!

I will definitely share it yes & will be checking out all your other videos too❤
Janie.... you are amazing!!! I don't have a machine. Thank you SOOO much for sharing these techniques!!! ❤

Great video, I do have the little minc, but when I am not in CA where all my crafts are this is a great alternative.
Hi Paula.....well the good news is thes methods work on things that CAN"T go through the MINC....like a vase or a frame....things that are too thick or breakable or curved. I hope you have fun trying these methods :) Hugs...Janie
