Search Sol3 Mio. Pene is one of this trio. Their voices are beautiful and I'm proud to say they are Samoans from New Zealand.
I heard Pene rehearsing in a practice room years ago in NYC. When his accompanist came out I asked who was singing and he told me it was Pene. I knew he had something very special then and now he sounds even better. Love the lightness of the top notes that have plenty of ring and power without strain. This is a quality that seems to be missing in many professional tenors today.

Yes! He doesn't sing it as if he was fighting his own body to get the tone out. It makes such a difference!
Wow. Just wow. A new Pavarotti: very similar quality of voice -- and even a little quotation, when he says "vin-(e)-cero" (with a whisper of a vowel between the two halves of the word) just the way the great man did. Bravo bravo Pati.
There is no New Pavarotti. There is only one Pavarotti and one Pene Pati.

He is a maestro already. He's equal to Pavarotti already here in this video. His voice is is like velvet. Broader sounding to me. Less forced. Comes very easy to him. Prodigy. Very tender. Transports me to this scene, and I can see it in my minds eye. Absolutely lovely!

I discovered Pene Pati at the Concert de Paris on 14th July 2024 and I loved his interpretation of Puccini's Nessun Dorma so much. I will never forget it. I think the version here is even better.

This is my favorite and this young man sang it so well!
I have no complaints about this performance. He serves the lyrics and the music perfectly. Very disciplined in performance as well. His body is engaged and not showing visible signs of concentrating. Professional. He's either a good actor or very comfortable or both.
It's rare to see singers sing TO something and not in their heads, staring at a point in the room.
