My all-time dream project would be to buy an R32 GTS-T and create an N/A V12 from RB30's as well as mid-engined. Would be insane, but would need an absurd amount of funds lol
I looked this up because I was wondering if it had been done thinking of it independently myself (I was thinking coupled tho) and sure as shit from my state as well... It must be something in the water... Octane perhaps?
probably did, but even if that was the case they are aluminum block, super weak in stock form, and have no aftermarket support whatsoever. as where with this setup, it's stout in stock form already, he built the bottom end from the get go, and you can still use a bunch of the aftermarket JZ stuff. that's not to say the 1GZ isn't neat, but a performance engine it is not.
@@GearheadDaily my dream is to make one with desmodronic valves & air cooled cylinders. Given the extra room for exhaust (compared to a 180) and with a dry sump it might get a lower CG (vs a 180)

It's so weird to see the intakes on the sides right down the bottom and the exhaust manifolds up top haha, very interesting build, i actually searched 1GZ and it took me here 😂 not disappointed though
the 1GZ isn't even close to this... it's a weak aluminum block V12 that shares nothing in common with the JZ, and it has no aftermarket support lol. it was for use in a limousine...

1J's redline at 7200 stock... Imagine that V12 screaming at 6k holy hell
Stock 1jz's is 7200 so probably the redline would be around 8k because he probably has built heads
No, it would not redline at anywhere near 14,000 rpm. It wouldn't suprise me if, if anything, the redline is lower.

Thanks for coming and watching! :)
I can't believe how smooth and quiet it actually is wow
Very low angle V, it’s almost like a boxster 12. Cool build, love the exhaust manifolds 👍
Also keeping the weight down low closer to the ground will help alot with handling. Instead of having everything higher up.
Its 120°
That is a big angle actually!
You mean big angle 😂
Amazing. What a smooth running and well behaved sounding engine. Would love to see it when its all dialed in and tuned. Great find.
Almost as smooth as the 5.0 v12 2x1uz engine Toyota already make! What an utter waste of time..
So a 5.0L V12? This man just made a very big, very complicated 1GZ
Damn!!!!! If I had time, money, patience, skill.... of who am I kidding?
I have none of the above... LOL
V12 twin turbo😨😨😨wonder how fast that creature will whack off, thanx for the cool vid😎
You got it, thanks for stopping by. Sub if you can :)
Thanks and share if you can :)
Do you know what whack off means in the US? 🤣
Now I want to see somebody make a quad turbo V24 out of 4 1jz blocks lol
Not sure why he wouldn't use the 1GZ-FE..?
you got me man
I figured he would have adapted the 1gz block and used 1jz heads

WOW that thing is absolutely nuts and cool. Even if the engine is a failure I salute him for trying LOL
But its not! That's the thing! it really works and sounds amazing.
Well... Its not everyone that just go ahead and casualy makes a crankshaft... Id say this guy knows his stuff.
It's like the second gen Century's 1GZ all over again...
Interesting angle on that V12. Looks to be about 120 degrees. I wonder if there is going to be vibration issues.

how are the exhausts in the middle... can you get a mirrored head for the 1j??????
I believe the 2nd engine is reversed
as said, he flipped the one head and had it customized to run the cams in the opposite direction

how the hell he manage to make the intake of the 1jz head to be exhaust?
