Thank you for the review. I'm looking into a Luna for me and my 35-pound dog to go exploring. It looks very nice and roomy enough, and between an SUV, a Luna and an Ebike I think we'll be set for lots of adventures. I appreciate your honest comments and recommendation.
Thank you for your input. I just bought a 2023 with the cassette toilet. It didn't have a microwave or awning. So I'll have to hand out some cash down the road to get those, but I am excited. I pick it up tomorrow morning. Thanks again for your vids including this camper. There are not many videos of the Luna Rover. So much appreciated.
I'm picking up my new Rover next week. It has the toilet (necessity!) and the awning attached to the roof rack. Kind of wish it didn't have an awning, so I could get a 270 of my own choice. Did you guys get an awning over the summer?
Thanks so much for this great review ! My wife and I are a few years from retirement and are looking to get a trailer and hit the road. We have a mid size car so need to stick to a small trailer. This looks awesome and really great to see a real review from a person not an RV place selling them. Cheers

Great review. We bought our 22 Rover in July and have had it out 3 times now. We live in Florida and it's been through several thunderstorms and it's been great! Just 2 days ago, 4 adults and a dog took shelter in the Rover and played a board game waiting for a big storm to pass. The campsite was literally flooded, but the Luna held up great. It was cozy with 4 people for sure, but 2 people sat on the futon cushions and 2 sat on the chairs. It was fine. The AC unit is a must for us in the summer and keeps us nice and chilly at night. We're still learning the ins and outs of this thing but I learn more each time and it will get easier each time. I would definitely like to upgrade the battery and will check out your setup. Thanks! Oh yea, that green light on the propane/co2 detector is SUPER bright. I will definitely be taping that up.
That's about right. We got ours last week for right around $23k. More than I was looking to spend. But once I saw the open floor plan and the cassette toilet...and of course that huge window, I was sold.

Awesome lil camper be something a suv could tow i personally like bit larger travel trailer indoor kitchen ect . But thats def a sharp lil unit got lots stuff cram into very nice 👍
On long trips, how do you guys take showers? Is there an additional outside attachment or are there usually places you can stop by? I'm looking for a trailer which can support me as a home while also being affordable.
Thank you for the update. We purchased a Pursue last year and I like the lightweight part of it. Unfortunately we need something a little bigger. I debated on putting my rooftop tent on it but never got around to it. I have been eyeing the Lunas or a bit but I don't think that is going to be big enough for long. I love the looks too . Anything much bigger quickly goe out of budget with Intechs though. And yea, the Rockford Fosgate speakers mine came with were quickly replaced. They were awful.
That's too bad. Rockford Fosgate is a name usually associated with high end speakers. But I guess they make the low end, lousy ones too. They obviously don't wanna skip any markets where products might be sold...
Thanks for the video. One question I have is when you installed the 100 Ah Lipo battery, did you have to set the fuse so that it would charge properly? Thank you!
Nice video. I used cheap, light aluminum jacks on the front of trailer (instead of your second wheel jack) and also 2 additional in the back which stabilizers considerably.
Hi Alex. I have a standard 7 foot opening, and can park the Luna inside. I posted a video on this. I was also looking at. Nucamp but after seeing one in person I decided to go InTech
Just wondering what the size of the bed would be considered? If it was a queen I'd definitely consider it me and the old lady need a bit of room for sleeping
Kind of a personal question. Alright, so I’m not young, but not old. There are occasions while on a road trip when I have to use the bathroom in an emergency (#2). I’m only 5’8”. Is the cassette toilet an ok height to sit on without my head bumping against the ceiling? I had a cassette toilet in my truck camper and loved it. I’m looking at the Intech Luna and Flyer Explore. Love the teardrop. Just curious if it has the headroom necessary for the emergency toilet break. Thanks. Oh yeah, also curious if there is capacity to put a rooftop tent on the Luna for the occasional trip with my son.
@@PaggiPlumbing I too own a 2021 Luna Rover w/the toilet option and LOVE IT! The heater is AMAZING efficient. You WILL stay warm. I haven't used the AC yet, but if it works as good as the heater, GREAT! The only downside with both is that you can only use them on shore power or with a generator. Battery usage won't work well unless you use a lithium battery and inverter. I hear all the time about folks who live in theirs full time. Hope this helps.
Yes people have put RTT on the Luna. I looked at NoBo when looking to buy but decided on the inTech as it is much more robust and has a fully welded aluminum cage frame.
Kind of a awkward question but how hard is it to use the potty in the middle of the night? I am getting older and well have a tendency to use the bathroom a bit more at night then when I was younger. So I was just gonna ask to see. Thanks.
question is legit. you will need to wake up whoever is with you, fold back toilet lid, you can use the side frame to brace you while sitting. Highly recommend sitting to pee. you dont want to give whoever is with you a surprise if you were standing.
The cassette toilet is what drove me to buy this camper. But I set up a coleman 6 person instant tent w/a Luggable Loo next to the Rover, when not camping solo.
Thanks Snowman. Yes these have brakes, but i have the brake controller turned off on my truck, as im pulling with a RAM Warlock w/ 3.92 rear end. I can barely feel the trailer behind me. I highly recommend using a proper brake controller on whatever vehicle anyone else uses though.

Sorry I am late to the party. When it rains and your kitchen is opened, does water roll off the roof and leak in the kitchen area?
@@markgobuffalo6490 we don’t have issues with rain
How tall are you and does it fit in a standard garage as they say?

Nice review! I’m considering buying one. I’m a big guy…..wondering how comfortable the cushions are for sleeping?
They are surprisingly decent for sleeping but absolutely terrible folded into the “chair” with backrest. Horrendous actually
Thank you. Maybe a good camping chair would do the trick for me
I just ordered the blinds today for our luna. Thanks for the tip!
Hope you like it!
Was the axle recall just on the '22 model?
not sure
I have to agree on the speakers.
yeah InTech has a great way of pissing people off by unnecessarily cutting corners
The speakers and that lame a$$ battery are Achilles heels for sure.
just a suggestion. with your battery under your sink you might want to make a shield over it in case the sink or water lines start leaking.
Excellent idea thank you.

I would assume yes.. for a very very short time

Hey how is the ac and electric heater??? I have been saving up to buy one I really would like to know

Im thinking i like this.
30 CAD out the door

Could a 13”6”96 pound kayak be stored on the roof rack? What is the weight capacity of the roof rack?
Absolutely. Unsure of the weight capacity though. Check the InTech website or give them a call they have good phone support
A lot of neat upgrades.
thanks!
How is your gas mileage when towing it? I'm looking for something smaller like yours since my 20 ft travel trailer is pretty poor on my mpg's.
About half normal driving
What size is your Rhino Rack Awning please and many thanks
its square, and about 8 feet long so id hazard a guess that it is 8x8. its an absolute game changer. we love it

Did I miss the A/C? what no A/C....won't work in the southern US
It has AC. Just impossible to use when camping . If you are glamping at a plugged in site you can use it.
Have you looked at renting this out?
Thought about it but these are very expensive. Not willing to take the risk to rent it out.
Nice review. I don't think it is small potatoes that doors don't stay open. It is lazy engineering.
lots of Lazy engineering on InTech unfortunately
How does the panoramic front window hold up against rock chips and stuff like that.
I have the clip on protective cover i install [2 minutes] EVERY time i drive. So far so good.

Thanks Norm. we love it
On long trips, how do you guys take showers? Is there an additional outside attachment or are there usually places you can stop by? I'm looking for a trailer which can support me as a home while also being affordable.
Showers don't happen in this. There are external gravity fed style that can be sun heated and attached to roofracks.

30K CAD and i am unfortunately unsure of the tow rating of a 4runner

Pretty much cut your existing mileage in half

im 6 foot and have zero issues sitting on the toilet. you wwill absolutely have zero issues. people have put RTTs on their lunas
Have you taken it on any real rough roads where you might get some serious sway and an articulating hitch would be preferable?
nothing REALLY brutal. deep rutted logging roads mostly. I think in my case, an articulating hitch would be overkill but your mileage may vary.
How is the electric heater and ac? Any issues running either?
dont have electric heater, dont use AC. I think im tearing it out for space as its useless boondocking
@Bruteforce Explorer that's kind of disappointing because I need to know these things as I would be full time and different climates
