I know this was an unusual draft but IF Michael Penix Jr is THE guy the falcons believe he can be, Im 100 in favor of this. An Elite QB is insanely hard to come by.
I get the whole Kirk Cousins thing. Signing him was absolutely necessary. After the season we had, everybody knew we needed a QB. Kirk is good enough to win us the division. But Penix is good enough to win the whole thing.
If we went into the draft without Kirk, teams would have traded their firstborn to get ahead of us.
I love the Falcons. ❤ This move was very bold.
