im actually glad we got penix. he is a 1 of 1. nobody throws in the spots he dose for his wr to cook. michael vick arm + mahomes accuracy, and on top of that a lefty. i feel like you gonna give atlanta its first superbowl. go make history
The defining characteristic with Penix is that when you needed him to make a throw - he did. Repeatedly. He made throws he had to have when other QBs missed theirs. I watched JD not be able to keep up shootouts because his defense let them down. But UW defense wasn't great either, and Penix just kept them in shootouts. I watched Nix miss key throws that literally made the difference in winning and losing in those UW games. And watched Penix make key throws at the end of games under incredible pressure that made the difference in UW winning and losing. Really every game but the NC game.
The biggest issue is wherever Penix went, he made his team great. He got Indiana (!) into the top ten and then took a 4 win UW team to the NC (while getting his HC a job at Bama). He makes crappy teams contenders. Isn't that the goal when you draft an NFL QB?

I was a little perplexed when the Falcons drafted Mr Penix but I am glad we did. Just wanted you guys know I really enjoyed this interview with Penix y’all had me laughing out loud and my wife said what’s going on. I told her that you guys were really excited about the Falcons adding Penix and and let him know that he’s a phenomenal talent. Man I just lucked out finding y’all’s channel and very glad that I did.

I'm glad this guy is a Falcon. Sounds like a great guy. On a side note, there was talk about Joe Burrow and the talent he had around him. There were anylists that stated they could have been Heisman candidates with those receivers.
I NEVER heard that, and I followed LSU back then. It was more of the QB making the receivers. They were even saying Jefferson was "just" a slot guy and couldn't play outside. Smh

Wonderful pick after some time.. MPJ was what a 5th year senior.. Injured in his first 4 seasons he will have much time for his body to heal and adapt to the NFL. He can grow under Kirk who can help mold him as they are similar players.. And now we should have no QB issues for the next 12-14 years… Shit with a top 20 defense we had last year we can build a top 10 throughout the next couple years…

I remember how furious I was when Mac went to cards but we knew we made bad decision and got him right back Macs defensive teammates were thugs and goons on that field going to those games and hearing the hits was unlike any other I seen just brutual especially with Ravens We sitting behind Steelers bench at Ravens game Peezy was giving his pregame speech my wife looked at me and said I think Joeys own players are afraid of him it was that intense and she may of been right lol!!

They were trying to make sure that they were there 2 to 3 years from now. Just fired a head coach, a couple more bad or unproductive seasons and there would be a GM and another head coach looking for work.
