IF you are doing this quest is updated you will need to hit the weather vayne upstairs with a hamme search it take the things downstairs, to an anvil and repair them then put them back on. like so people can see.
at 21:30 if you don't have ardy cloak/fairy you can use Ardy teleport, boat to brimhaven, charter to port khazard :) need like 500 coins for the travels
Something I found extremely helpful during this quest (and any quest really) was carrying a stack of house teleport tablets and going to a house that has a rejuvenation pool and nexus portal. The rejuvenation pool restores everything (including run), and the nexus portal can teleport you pretty much anywhere. That way you don't need to carry so many teleportation methods, and you don't need to worry as much about losing stamina or holding so many stamina potions. If you don't have those items in your own house, you can log on to world 330 (if it's not full, it's usually quite busy), and go to one of the houses that is being advertised outside the Rimmington portal. if you fail to cut the gems 3 times when fixing the gnome lights, the gnome won't give you another one. You'll have to go to the G.E and buy one. you can buy a cut one and it 'll work.
42 minutes from logging in to finish. with buying stuff and everything included. had some faster teleports and skipped some parts to keep running. amazing guide this one

Lawl I grinded to 74 pray before realizing I had to finish king's ransom in order to use rigour.. and 65 defence.. so I get the skills for this quest only to see it's an hour long. I put this off for a while after seeing how long the video was but I'm about 20 minutes in and it hasn't been too bad at all my main tip to anyone that doesn't like long quests is getting 60 or 70 construction and getting your Main City portals up like varrock, falidor, camelot, ardy, kourend that way you can just take 10 house teleport tabs along with you which will only take up one inventory spot then you can also use your rejuvenation pool every time you go home to teleport to refill your stamina back up super helpful and if you have the gold for it 70 construction is only going to take you three or four hours tops

Seems you're better than the runelite plugin "QuestHelper" since you were able to get me through this quest, and I couldn't even start it with that plugin and also couldn't do the quest with that plugin. Guides like this are still OP
The funniest thing is when you hear "Are you serious?", "Oh my fuckin god" when he repairs the lights for the gnome. Exactly my same thought process as I hear the gem shattering.
Theoretically speaking, we could have ended the favour path at the apothecary by buying an airtight pot. It's a tradeable-non quest item typically. However, I had a tremendous amount of fun running around doing these small favours so I am as happy as can be. I wish this quest had a part 2.
Just want to add but bringing a Dust staff, Tome of Fire/water with some Death/law runes in your bag can help save a lot of bag space and gold on teleport tabs, while also giving a means of you killing stuff too.
I kind of enjoyed this quest. No puzzles, no real bosses, no mazes. Just good ol trappin around runescape. Brought my farming up to 39 through questing only too

Warning: To anyone doing it as of 2024. The Rock Boss was not safe spotable for me.. He trampled straight through any barriers and did not let me safe spot him. I'm not sure if it was a bug, or what, but be careful.
Bring 2 cut red topaz, opal, jade, and sapphire, since you have a chance to break the ones provided to you. You can just profit from the uncut ones given to you.

Also, at 31:48 when you go back, you now hit 3 instead of 2
You might have not completed a certain quest and or completed another quest that was not yet completed on the account he is using.

You don't need to complete King's Ransom for Rigour, only for Chivalry and Piety.

after speaking to gnome pilot on mountain, when speaking to sanfew THE OPTION IS 3 MAKE SURE. then you can go mining guild and fight the 3 dwarves
