Most westerners who've never been beyond their own backyard would probably find this video boring. I loved it. I've been all over the world on all the continents except the frozen ones. People often ask me what my favorite country was. My answer is always the developing or third world countries. In those places all your senses are greatly heightened as you move about sticking out like a sore thumb. Very exciting. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Couldn't agree more mate. In those countries, you KNOW you're somewhere else and their culture is thick. Most first world countries are pretty much all the same. I enjoy being outside of my comfort zone, experiencing life like you can't back home. Great comment brother 👍

Hey mate, Enjoying the channel not many vloggers do Lao. That round thing your talking about near the chicken its blood. They sell them here too. Cheers Aussie living in Thailand.
Good point about the generic, in this case, Chinese style modernisation. In some countries it is the US version 😆 and here the Chinese version. Sterile is the word. Same reason I hate malls in Australia! Sterile, big multinational companies, not the real deal local stuff, which Australia in my case and Laos in your case, have. I love local stuff in Australia and o/s wherever I am. Not generic sterile capitalist (I’m afraid of germs and bugs stuff). Has nothing to do with Chinese. A point lost on one of your viewers apparently!

Have to look on the map where Sekong is located, i was reading through all the comments and saw lot of negativity about this and that regarding the chinese, i didnt notice any bias eather way, so i think its not correct, then again regarding that china has a big influence in this part of the world, its just common sense to be wary of what the long term consequences are, people should know and learn what companies they deal with are they chinese or american or whatever, and let them decide where they put their money, in the longterm its easy, in a capitalist society the best bang for the back wins. Thats my take of it, then apart from that its politics and this channel i think isnt political so the comments from these people are very much unnecessary, and perhaps agenda based too.
Never heard it called an egg roll! Is that an American thing? To me they are just spring rolls fried or unfried (but mostly only see fried) it’s very interesting.
