Our Hmong village tour of Muang Fuang continues as we are now in the Lao village of Nonhai in the Muen District.. Muang Muen, where many Hmong and Yao live. Just arriving we take a look around at this village markets and the people who live here..

Why are you guys always film about hmong people. You guys should be filming more about khmu people because the country of Laos belong to Khmu historiclly people. Thje King of Laos was Khmu. Hmong and Mien are from China originally. Khmu people are native of Laos
Hi Richard, we travel Laos and video the people we meet in that area. It just so happens there are a lot of Hmong in the Muang Fuang district. To say we are always videoing Hmong is misleading considering in our last 50 videos there are only 5 videos with Hmong in the title. Dig a little deeper and I think you'll find the Khmu, and many other ethic people are represented very well on this channel.
Please take into consideration that the channel is an English speaking channel, therefore most of my viewers are foreigners and ex-nationals of Laos, of which there are many Hmong American (Hmong Australians etc) who regularly watch my videos, comment, and are interested in seeing their homeland villages. More than 40% of views come from the US while less than 2% are derived from Laos.
The Khmu are a wonderful people and I always enjoy visiting and spending time with them. I think you'll find we have just as many Khmu videos, maybe more, than Hmong videos, but for marketing reasons the name Khmu doesn't always show in the title as very few people search for that compared to the name Hmong.. that comes back to what I explained, more of my viewers speak English and actively search for Hmong videos.
If more searched for Khmu it would be included in the title more often also.

The audacity of this guy . There are other nationalities/ethnic groups in every country. Filming ONLY the race of ONE group because that groups speaks the language is stupid. A country is made up of so MANY people. We call people who says things like this racist where I live.

I didn't really notice until today but I really appreciate the way you enjoy the simple things in life. I think that's really important, especially for those of us who live in the west and are more used to a consumer based lifestyle. As much as some of us try to enjoy the simple things it's not always that easy.

You're right, it is harder to enjoy the simpler things in life in the west, I think because of all the distractions. Take a lot of those distractions away and you start see the world differently. Maybe this is why some of the poorest people in the world always seem happy.. hmm 🤔

Wait for the hmong new years in November to January lol. Those are the best place to go check out the beauty. Trust me Todd it's hard to choose when they are in their beautiful traditional hmong clothing. Can't wait for your videos of hmong new year this year. Looking forward to it. I love traveling to Southeast Asia. Believe it or not there are Hmong people here in the US in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. They like it because they say it reminds them of there homelands and they have very good farms and their produce is highly sought after.

Hi Todd , I am from India . Accidentally I saw the video and liked the way you covered a small self sustaining community . Simplistic coverage of the market place left a mark because that market was the community's lifeline all manned by ladies . But what I liked the most was the stills at the end in black and white with determined faces of those women with resolute peace written over them . Keep shooting the earth and its people with amazing diversity .

Many years ago I was on my way to live in Tahiland, but ... couldn' t make it.. I loved dearly a Tahi lady, If time was on my side we could marry but God saw it other way. Not the right time. .It feels like emotional touch. So much in common. No mattter now. Who is that guitar singer? Could it be You? Enjoyed.

Was just in Nonhai for the first half of October. I'm on my way back home to the USA and I already miss it and the family and friends I visited. It's primarily a Hmong town.

Where I live we call that the Farmers Market but these people live in the market. That's the biggest Farmers Market I've ever seen and I know farming is hard work cuz I was a farmer when I was younger
hi both of you are just so nice to follow and although I spend many years in Thailand and still spend a few months a year there I believe Laos would be my next favorite place to be I've been there a few times over the freedom bridge and spend some weeks there and really love the place, and wife wife being Thai so easy to communicate as they speak very similar was no issue, thanks for the relaxed and beautiful vlog great stuff

You just gotta love that pic @ 29:05. When I saw her in the video I thought that would be a great b&w pic. A great little town filled with beautiful, happy people. You must have a camera in one hand and gopro in the other I'm not sure how you are pulling it off but, it's damn good. You could make a video of just the b&w pics you have accumulated over time with music and it's sure to be a hit🙏. 👍
Hahaha that's how I do pull it off mate.. Gopro held at left shoulder and stills camera in my right hand. Sometimes you'll see me pause on a subject for no reason.. I'm probably taking a pic 😉👍

When I see your vids - my first instinct is -- "you're driving on the wrong side of the road.'

That first mile(Km) in the new country was tense.
Interesting,Neenee's "Army" boots have the same sole as what were on the NVA canvas boots during the Vietnam War.
In just the last 3-4 vids alone there's been a lot of gorgeous women.
