Welcome to China. You are the only foreigners I have seen who did not choose to transit in Shanghai, but in Guangzhou. In fact, there are 20 cities in China that can provide 144-hour temporary transit visas. I hope more people will choose inland cities such as Kunming, Chongqing, and Chengdu.
I went to those cities over ten years ago. kunming and chengdu are amazing. People should always go to the more complicated city. Major cities are a simpler transport.
I ❤️🇨🇳
@jzeng2022 Thank you for the welcome 🙂 You are right-China has so many amazing cities to offer! This visa free transit is a great idea to improve Chinese tourism!
@DubCmusicTV yeah, and don`t forget that it`s transit visa, so you don`t really choose a city yourself, you see which layover stops are available from your point A to point B.
有很多去北京的吧。
144 hours visa free entry allows you to tour all the Guangdong province, not only Guangzhou. If in a future ocassion you have more time, I highly recommend you to visit some areas of the province which are amazing, such as Foshan, Qinyuan, Danxia mountains (in Shaoguan), Zhaoqing, Meizhou or Chaozhou.
7 years living here and, believe me, it is way underrated by international tourists. Guangdong is amazing.
Up to six days is not enough for the province, but I’m Cantonese
@@DubCmusicTV agree. But visa free doesn't offer you more time 😩
根本不够好不好 😂😂
@ddr49 thank you for recommendations! Hopefully will have more time next visit 🙂
Any recommendations on how to get there as an english speaker? Are the trains easy to navigate or would you recommend a tour guide?
I am holding Singapore passport with 15-day visa free .
My first 🇨🇳 trip post pandemic was ChongQing / Xi’an (terracotta/ Mt Hua ) 1 month ago.
Very likely another 2-3 🇨🇳 trips in 2024 .
For Singapore passport it is now 30-day visa free.😅
@wjj7488 Lucky you :) Sounds exciting!
@icebaby6714 That is great! 🙂
If you're in Ghangzhou longer next time can take high speed rail around the Greater Bay Area & see Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macau & Zhuhai, major cities in this area. Hour to each city by rail. Bruce Lee memorial in Foshan also hour away by bus from HK.
Appreciate your suggestions 🙂, will check them out our next China trip!
This does help! I'll have 19 hours of transit in Guangzhou so thanks a lot for this. Keep sharing good and informative things. God bless you both.
Glad it helped. Enjoy your trip 🙂
@@LoveLiveDiscover Thank you 🙏
Visa free is the smartest move by China. Those that still doubted should visit China and maybe their world view will change.
You can't change China haters that only love to bash, mock and belittle China no matter how much they have seen China. Even if you pay them to visit China and when they go back, they still say all the negatives about China.
@Linkwii64 Absolutely! China's visa-free policies have indeed opened up incredible opportunities for travelers to experience the beauty and diversity of the country. It's a smart move that promotes cultural exchange and understanding. If more people had the chance to visit, it could definitely reshape perspectives.
@panyaboonc5621 It can be challenging when people hold onto negative views despite firsthand experiences 😞
@@LoveLiveDiscover the sad truth is that those used to consume negative narratives would not see your videos, they are kept in a 'bad china' information chamber...
@anglohan5428 Lol
Welcome to China. This transit format is new and efficiencies will improve with time.
Hey, thanks a ton for the warm welcome! 🇨🇳✈️ Exciting times with this new transit format! Our experience was pretty good, but I`m sure things will get even smoother with time 🙂
When I went to the US, it took longer than an hour because I was not a local. It's reasonable to take longer for security reason since those with transit visas only stay for a short time!
@beatricewan9958 Yeah, customs and immigration processes can vary widely between countries, and security measures are indeed in place to ensure the safety of all travelers.
@LoveLiveDiscover I have more concern for the locals !
Not every tourist's intention is for a visit only! They might bring in illegal stuff like drugs and not abide by the laws. That will lead to social problems within the country!
Amazing video 😍 enjoy your vacation 🔥
Hey, thank you so much for the awesome vibes! 😍 We're thrilled you enjoyed the video - your support means the world to us! 🔥
Glad you guys had a joyful trip in Guangzhou...
Thanks 🙂 Guangzhou truly treated us to a joyful adventure filled with incredible sights and experiences.
You guys been to the traditional area of Guangzhou, that's amazing!! In fact, there's lot of modern architecture in other areas in Guangzhou. Wish you come to Guangzhou again and have a really nice trip!!
I hope so too, we really enjoyed Guangzhou! Thank you for the lovely comment 🙂
Welcome to China, the food in Guangzhou is amazing!
Thank you and totally agree about food 😋
Thank you for a great video! This will help me for when I transit next week, coming from Australia.
Glad to hear that. Enjoy your trip :)
I am in Beijing and welcome you to explore more cities in China, including Beijing, in the future. Have a nice journey.
Thanks! 😃
You can also try transit in Xiamen! It's also lovely. I transited there back in November last year and it was a pleasant experience. Xiamen Airlines also provide free hotel if you transit for more than 6 hours.
Sounds great, thanks for info
Great description i will be going to guangzhou in july following your footsteps well done
I’m glad it helped ☺️ Enjoy your trip!
Welcome to China and enjoy your trip.
Thanks! 😃
This is wonderful! Nice and smooth! Thanks for sharing your advanture with us.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@anglohan5428 say it one more time. Tibetans living in Tibet are free and happy, unlike those living in shithole.
So great to see you guys travelling again..this journey is going to be amazing

@@LoveLiveDiscover , happen to come across your video this morning and hope you enjoy your stay and experience the real China. Thank you for sharing your video with other.
I am from Southeast Asia country and travel to China very often for works. I have read and watched lots of western mainstream media making lots of negative reports about China. Hope you will see the real China with your own eyes and see how different from the western MSM have reported.
@panyaboonc5621 Thank you so much for your kind words and warm welcome! It's always a pleasure to connect with people who have diverse perspectives and experiences in China. I completely understand the importance of firsthand experiences in shaping one's understanding of a place, especially when media portrayals can sometimes be biased. I'm thrilled to explore and share the real China as I experience it.
Really nice and useful video! Thank you for your work!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video , thank you for sharing
Hey, thank you for the kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed the video 😊
You should try dim sum which is originated in Guangdong province (Guangzhou is its capital city).
Thank you for recommendation, defiantly will try next time!
Guangzhou is a futuristic city. Welcome to come and eat, drink and have fun.
Welcome to China, this beautiful city
Thank you ☺️
Hi there! Im glad to see you had a wonderful trip 😇
When you arrived at the 144hour transit desk, did you present an e-ticket/outbound flight itinerary on your phone to the immigration official? Or did the immigration official require a physical official boarding pass for the outbound flight? Thank you!
I had a printed itinerary which I got after booking and paying my flight. But I saw some people just show photo on their phone.
You don’t need official boarding pass, booking confirmation is enough.
Enjoy your trip :)
@@LoveLiveDiscover thank you!!!!
China is a friendly country with a vast territory and abundant resources and a long history. I hope everyone has a pleasant trip in China.
Yes, finally a foreigner to China who did not click bait us by using ' extraordinary headlines' like 'I am shocked...'
Maybe they were shocked 😂
You guys are in the old town of GZ. Next time when you are there again, check out Shamian island, the European settlement after the Opium war. Check out the Secret Heart Church, a French style Catholic Church in the heart of GZ. Those are the imprints left by European. If you wanna see more traditional Chinese stuff, maybe Chenjiaci, an ancestral Temple also near by.
你让老外看西式建筑。 😅
Thanks for the awesome suggestions, Michael! 😊 Defiantly will check them out next time in GZ
@Xinaha 确实,味道好很多,虽然不是什么好食物。😅
你没吃过国外的M记和KFC,所以不知道味道确实没中国的好吃。体验一下有什么不好?吃自己熟悉的食物至少可以吃饱。@Xinaha
@Jenny-bg5gu yeah, I really wanted to see Canton tower, unfortunately couldn`t this time. But next trip for sure! I also want to ride a bubble tram :)
i used to live there many years in Guangdong. in my mind Guangzhou is still one of my favorite city, although originally i came from his neighbor.Hunan Province.
It’s rare that foreigners choose Guangzhou as their entrance. Most people will be more interested in Shanghai as their first visiting place in China. But you will be thrilled to find out Guangzhou is a food paradise city for zero-spiciness-foodie. Try to eat Chang Fen( Steamed Rice Roll) , Roasted duck or goose, BaiQieJi, Cha Shao, Dim Sum desserts, Beef noodles and so on. Have a nice trip in Sheep City of China, Guangzhou !
Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the fantastic food recommendations 🙂
@@LoveLiveDiscover My pleasure.
It’s crazy that you spent more time in the Philippines than in China, a vast historical country with lots of culture and sights
I love traveling and though one country can have more cultural sights than another, it doesn’t make it better or worse in my opinion. Every country has its charm. And don’t forget we are all different! Some people love museums, others prefer beaches or extreme activities…
For us Philippines was main destination of our trip and China was just a long layover on the way. It’s incredible country, I agree, and will spend longer time there one day. But Philippines are beautiful as well, so nothing crazy for me here ☺️
The visa free transit policy in China is really a good policy
It's dangerous at night in China because there is so much food 😄😄😂😂
Haha, totally agree! China is a food lover's paradise, especially at night 😀
I will be arriving from the UK in September, but unfortunately I only have a four hour stopover
After watching your video I wish now it was longer so I can see more of China.😎👍
Yeah, it’s so easy! Hopefully next time you can spend some time in China 🙂
As Cypriots, you guys are considered well-informed about East Asia because some people living in East Asia may not know there is a city in China called Guangzhou. 😂
How about “CANTON”

@@LoveLiveDiscoverchina at night very safe.
@ytchuah4358 True, I felt very safe all the time!
You can use spoon to eat rice! We all do that in Asia, don't worry.
That`s a relief 😀 It was hard to do it with chopsticks 😅
Epic moment ,great china
In China airport even white western Caucasians are allowed to freely do video recording and speaking foreign language without anyone coming to stop or bother you. I know many western countries visitors enter the airport are not allowed to do the same or taking picture is not allowed.
I have met a young couple in Thailand recently. They were from US and they were traveling from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and then to Cambodia and Vietnam and before going back to US.
We have happened to have a casual friendly conversation and I have asked them since they are so near to China, why not go to China just for a few days to see China. I told them China is very interesting, But I was surprised of what they told me. They said according to all their media reports in US and advice by many people. They were advice and told not to travel to China. Even their parents don't allow them to go to China. They told China is not a safe country to travel. Very dirty, poor rundown infrastructures, poor transportation system, polluted, robbery is common even in broad daylight and chances of been detained for no reason by the Communist is very high. Because China is an authoritarian state and all foreign visitors are monitored by thousands of cameras everywhere, every minute where foreign visitors go. Foreign visitors from western countries can be detained for months or even years for no reason.
All these is what they know about China. The couple is like below 25 years of age and already so badly brainwashed by their government-controlled media. This is really sad.
Cool story, I’m sure.
Curious that their description of China is similar to what in fact happens in many US cities 🤣😅
What did you get those U.S. media bullshit? When and how often did U.S. media mention life in China?
Talking about Government controlled media, China is second to none in the world, you have no idea?
I think you met a stupid young couple😂😂
Sorry to hear this, but sounds extreme to hear these thoughts. Anyone can go onto UA-cam and see how advanced China is. I agree that all Media till towards one side but we should do our research and cone to our own conclusions. Wish you could of pass that to the kids. I am from the States, today you can not believe anything anymore from Media from all over the World. Sad !
Pergi ke senzhen, sanghai, Beijing, cengdhu,Hangzhou juga🎉
Wow, thanks a lot for the recommendations! 🌏✨
Visa free is the smartest move by China
Welcome to China.
Cool. Do come again.
Shang xia jiu shopping street is going down. Is so sad.... Even locals wont go there anymore....my grandma lived there before, it was super busy and prosperous, but these years there are so many scam shops in that street. People started to avoid there. Now the whole street dies
Guangzhou is a gourmet paradise, must go to taste Guangzhou morning tea, recommended restaurants: bingsheng, Baiyun hotel Chinese restaurant, hongxing-yanjiang road, diandude
Wow, thanks for the mouthwatering recommendations! 🥟🍜 Ready to embark on this delicious journey next time! 🍽️🌏
@@LoveLiveDiscover Street food is rarely to the taste of foreigners.
But the food of local restaurants in Guangzhou, its cooking concept, seasoning methods, ingredients handling and matching, is a more advanced, but authentic cuisine.
They use less condiments and are more inclined to the flavor of the ingredients themselves.
Steamed fish, shrimp dumplings, swan cake, roast duck, roast pigeon or roast goose, mixed seafood stew, local desserts are recommended……
Hot pot is not recommended to be very spicy, you can try Chaoshan beef hot pot.
If you want to have a drink in the wee hours of the morning, there will be a barbecue place in your neighborhood at night. There are some small local restaurants near you that are only open at night.
Local people like to eat mutton best in this season and weather. Recommend the roast lamb chops at the night snack bar.
There is a restaurant on the block near you that is only open at night in winter. Their mutton casserole is the most popular among the locals in the old city of Guangzhou. I have eaten it several times and I have been thinking about it. I forgot the name of the restaurant. The address is Dade Road. You can ask the hotel staff or the taxi driver.
@wenliu9571 We are experienced travels, especially in Asia, so we are ok with street food, I think it`s more authentic :) But I like tying food in restaurants as well.
@wenliu9571 wow, thank you for amazing recommendations! Can`t wait to be back to China and try it all 😋
love and peace😊
The six-day visa-free transit policy makes China a popular choice for international travelers. A short stay allows visits to multiple cities, letting travelers experience the unique charm of China. 144 hours is more than enough to fall in love with this country!
@AntuanSpears totally agree! This visa is the best decision for China!
Enjoy ur tour~ welcome

did you have to go through health screening & have a barcode to get through? If so how do you get a bar code to go through health screening?
No, you don’t need any health screening
To get a transit visa need hotel reservation or something like this?
They asked us to show hotel reservation but we were planning to stay 72 hours. Maybe if its less than 12 hours you don`t need, but better check on official Chinese immigration website

Hey, I am wondering how do you get internet for only 1 day there?
Hey, I actually forgot to download a VPN, but I did get Maps.me, which works in China and is in English. That was enough because I saved the locations I wanted to visit on the map beforehand. I definitely advise downloading a VPN before coming to China. My App Store wasn't working either, so I couldn't do it while in China, and none of my usual apps were functioning. But it's not the end of the world for just 1.5 days.
happy holidays and welcome to China, I hope you enjoyed your time
I think you have wrong impression with China , we honking the horn, you didn't find it because you weren't in a busy area, the only country in asia doesn't honk is Japan not our country unfortunately
but I would say in terms of services and foods compared else cities, I think GuangZhou is the best, coz it's a paradise for its foods, affordable and yum, Dim Sum is from this province orignially btw

We end up not downloading wechat as we were in China just for 36 hours, were using cash.
But next time if we staying longer, defiantly will try wechat as it`s so convenient!
@@LoveLiveDiscover I am not sure if you can link foreign credit cards to wechat pay. Many places don't have change for cash.

9 hour flight* not "9 hours"
It’s never easy to visit a country in Asia if can’t speak the language properly of course. For beginners I suggest the Asia light. Singapore, Malaysia and others. Before you try the hardcore Asia. China, Korea and Japan.

Absolutely, navigating a cashless society can be a bit of a challenge, but it adds to the adventure, right? Mobile payments and digital transactions are the norm in China, and I must say, it's quite efficient once you get the hang of it! Nest time when we stay longer, defiantly need to figure it out
