    This is a good way to think about flares, you can try to visualize the feeling even when not practicing, and it should help. Think about kicking away from you and trying to hold yourself in fighting the counteractive forces.

    I love conceptual tutorials because most tutorials are just like "Do it like this" but a lot of power really has to do with the way you think about it or the way you see it. Thanks, bro. This helped me a lot :)

    dude you should try out for American ninja warrior. You have tons of body awareness, and you're in great shape seems like you can give the obstacle course a good run. Plus it would be dope to see you on TV.

    I was definitely thinking about this principle and wondering if it was true; thanks for clarifying this up for me "pigmie123". I definitely do one rotation more consistent because of having my mind in that mindset.

    Go to the doctor. Especially if you feel pain. I had a problem where my hips snap, and it would hurt when I made kicking motions. Turns out I had a minor liberal tear, and some extra bone growth in my hip. I am recovering from surgery now.

    thanks for these vids. really informative and thorough. Do you have any tips on hip recovery? I've been trying to learn flares for almost a year and reached a snag. When I initiate the flare, my first swinging leg pops on of my hip. The most rest I gave myself was about three weeks after, but when I try and flare, my leg pops on of my hip!!!

    Hey pigmie every time I'm up to the front my sweeping leg bends and it ducks the whole thing up advice please

  • @jjaycallejas
    @jjaycallejas 12 років тому

    Thanks for the advise. But I experience no pain. I suppose saying it 'pops out' is a little misleading. It actually feels like its about to pop out. I pretty much have 100% pain free range of motion unless I swing my entire leg during a flare. Even then, it doesn't hurt per say. It's on the verge of popping into any sort of pain. Kinda weird. I practice kickboxing as well and execute full force kicks just fine, it's just that when I try flares, something is wonky.
