1:45 to skip the shoutouts. It was great to hear some REM and, for a guitar that's notoriously jangly, the bridge pickup has a nice full sound.

In my younger days. I didn’t like these guitars. I guess I thought they looked old and dated. Now that I’m getting old and dated. They have a certain charm. Not to mention that iconic sound. I think I’ve become a fan of the rick!

The Susanna Hoffs signature model is one of the coolest Rickenbackers.
I love this damn show
Toaster pickups have alnico Rod magnets. The Hi-Gain's have "rubberized" ferrite/ceramic magnets which give it more output and a brighter/louder sound. The 1/4" dots on the Hi-Gains are just cosmetic..they hide the top of the poles.. The bridge pickups in the Sixties had a .0047 cap between the pickup and the volume pot to roll off the lows(make it sound brighter it was wired between the pickup selector and the volume pot).
LPCustom3 HB1 RIC pickups are pretty badass, too. I dropped one in with a coil splitting pot and it's chimes like a toaster.

love that rickenbacher sound , very jingle jangle jungle , and I never noticed before but you'e right , they're ot very loud , I guess I'm more used to bangin m head , still a beautiful creature , love the curvy molded body , pretty spacy for 1966. Just a shout out to Mark and Jen , GOTD is a highlight of my day.

Nice axe...Mark thank god you threw some Petty in the end I like Credence ...i like Live...but nothing says Richenbacher like petty ...i like how you use the fender for most of the guitars because of it being so clean ...but maybe if its not to much in your setup to hook up a,b or hipshot..to model other amps like the vox super beetle with this guitar ...just a suggestion where u seem connect guitars to artists in your repertoire...so given u have a amplifier in house to AB with an helps to feel the flavor of the music ...in lamans clean amp dirty amp...i know dirt pedals are the go-to...but u an many others no its not the same...nice tones Mark..keepem coming...👌👍👍👍👋

gus dupree thats up to the seller to hagel on the price but price is price, it can be advertised. If anything it would cut out low-ballers. Also, to be honest, not knowing the price has stopped me a few times from purchasing a guitar. Their instragram advertises price on guitars, just not guitars of the day.
He's said before that they used to do the prices but it led to too much confusion/arguing in the comments so they stopped it.

Jackson does call the inlays Shark fin, but Rickenbakcer however calls those inlays the triangular shark like doo-dad inlays

My 1st bass was a '73 RIC 4001. Bought it when I was 15, sold at 18....never missed it. Sounded great, but hate the necks. Plus, why do they clear coat a nice rosewood fingerboard?

If I'm not mistaken on a 2 pickup Rick the small knob was a balance between them. My question is are there 3 volumes and if not what's going on.
The small knob (“blend”) is a 500kOhm master volume for the neck pickup…or neck + middle on a 3-pickup guitar. The other vol & tone pots are 250k on many older Rickies and ~300k on newer ones. On this guitar the “neck” vol & tone pots control both the neck & middle pups. The 3-way switch gives you neck + middle, all 3 pups or bridge alone.
