    Bro… I returned to moto 11 months ago. I bought a 2021 and put 7300 miles on it. The dealership charged me over $300 for my first rear tire replacement. Then I saw this video and decided I’ll never go back to the dealership or anyone else for anything ever again for a bike. I broke my chain tensioner and designed/machined my own from solid billet aluminum. Then came the time to replace my front tire. I couldn’t get the new on to save my life. I watched this video again and found the god mode tip. That knee on the tire to fold it. Can’t believe how effect that minor detail is. Thank you, bro.

      Of course man! I struggled so bad in the past not knowing that was the issue also! And a good stunt riding friend of mine showed me that exact trick and boom! On in seconds 🔥🔥🙏

      In my case, I have a 2018 Yamaha Tracer 700 and both tires cost around 300€, I have a dealership next to me that will do all the work + tires for 320€, it's good for me 😅😂

      I have a friend who realized after years of starting issues and phantom electrical problems that it was caused by the dealership that put his scooter together and crimped wires between parts of the body when they assembled it. Cost him loads of frustration and .. he had to buy another scooter because he was routinely late for work because of it. Dealers, man... Too many dumb lazy people in this world doing half-ass work.

    Another good tip is when changing to a new tire, for road riders, there is a dot or mark on the new tires usually which will be the lightest point, align it with the valve, it will make balancing your wheels much easier

    • @2stroketyson79
      @2stroketyson79 10 місяців тому +3

      he didnt even rebalance the wheel

    • @2lbsTrigrPull
      @2lbsTrigrPull 8 місяців тому +3

      How will it making balancing "much easier"? Doesn't matter where you put the dot. I changed a ton of tyres and most of the time, it's the rim, not the tyre and if there are weights already on the rim, I just leave them on, change out tyres and check if it is still balanced. Most of the time it is and I leave the weights alone. Michelin and Continental don't even bother putting a "dot" on the tyres.

    • @JohnnyBlankify
      @JohnnyBlankify 8 місяців тому

      You can check it out on google. Many guides available, from manufacturers to private rookies like yourself. Enjoy!@@2lbsTrigrPull

    • @plap.
      @plap. 7 місяців тому +5

      it does matter, because it is not just the rim off balance
      It is actually the lightest point on the tire and you align it with the valve stem because that is the heavy point on the rim. with both heavy spots on the opposite side you now only have to mess with applying the weight to one spot directly across the rim from the stem. Very little ugly weight is nessasary this way and if lucky it might balance out with none. This makes it balance easily. If you put tire wherever you spend much more time chasing your tail and have to put weights all over the place. The dot on the tire is there for a reason, use it and have this very important connection with the road set up nicely for smooth operation and look better. You either love your motorcycle or you don't.

    • @2lbsTrigrPull
      @2lbsTrigrPull 7 місяців тому +3

      @@plap. My experience tells me otherwise but do what you think is right. Some manufacturers don't even bother putting a dot on tyres like Michelin and Continental as I already mentioned. So it doesn't matter how you install these tyres. Also, in order to make the valve fit into the rim, there's a hole there so less weight on that spot and the valve makes up for it again. In order to determine the heaviest part of the rim, you would have to balance the rim wihtout tyre first. Who does that? So it's never guaranteed the heaviest part of the rim is always where the valve is. I've also not balanced wheels at all, and guess what, you don't notice it... You also don't have to balance motorycle tyres dynamically at all, they are way more forgiving than tyres and heavy steel rims on cars.

    I am a boomer and for scooter maintenance i tend to watch the videos with the guys that have the factory patch on their sleeve. Weel. after struggling for twenty minutes trying to remove my scooter tire using the c clamp - board method , i found your video. BAM ! , five seconds after using the shovel method my tire was off the rim ! Genius ! Couldn't push the tire back on the rim as easily as you did but prolly cuz my tire was so small. Was able to put the tire back on with spoons and get back on the road , but i could not have done it without you. Major respect young man , gotta be honest , before , if i saw you riding down the road doing ur tricks i would probably have been shaking my fist at ya, now i can see you are just out having clean fun , so i will wave at ya instead . Be safe . Respect.
