Hi, Thank you indeed sir for that generous endorsement! I'm delighted you enjoyed the session. I too am a great admirer of American railroads particularly of the U.P. 'Big Boy' and 'Challenger' and the Santa Fe 4-8-4. I have a Tri-ang 'Hiawatha' Pacific and a Rivarossi 'Big Boy' in my collection. It's a great hobby!
Certainly brings back all the thrills I had as a child! My parents spoilt me, and every Christmas was yet another Hornby Dublo train set. Importantly they were robust and reliable!
Theres just something so lovely about hearing those diecast locos rumbling away and the sound of the tinplate coaches behind, that you just dont get with modern built trains. Thankyou for sharing.
Thank you for your informative comment and observations. You are right about the magical qualities. I was on a rail tour behind 'Bahamas' yesterday' with some newly repainted 'West-Coast' Mk 1s and I couldn't help but think that they reminded me of those H/D tinplate coaches. Endlessly fascinating!
Wonderful layout, I am an American who loves British trains, thanks for sharing this.

Love the scene of the trains flying past - under the signal gantry !
Many thanks for your comment. I agree, signal gantries are not a common feature on model railway layouts!
