Hello from Saskatchewan Canada 🇨🇦. If you look at my name I get a little scared! I happened across you from Jeff Herschoff the honey bee guy from the Abbey. How I wish all the bees were like his. You have totally enlightened me and I’m afraid. You say the killer bees are in Alberta. I live in the province next door. I was born in Sweden and don’t recall seeing bees. Is there a danger there? I have a honey bee guy friend and most of his bees have died because of mites. I honour what you do. People have no idea! I’m 70 years old and never knew until now. I only pray that you all stay safe. Congrats. On the new baby. Love your sick jokes in very difficult times. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard 1957. lol. God bless you and what you do. Please stay safe.
Welcome to the hive!! Check out 'Hem's Holistic Honey channel here on YT. They are in the UK and have experienced some seriously aggressive hives that could be Africanized!
Those were some angry bees. I watched a few bee keeper video's and they are in total denial that Africanized bees could enter their areas. When I commented on their video where he had to dispatch an unruly hive I asked if the could have been Africanized? Boy did I get some mean replies LOL told I was paranoid, crazy etc. Deniers are mean. LOL

Please, you people and the USA as a whole. keep these things there, your long term allies the UK; really do not need those beasts over here. many thanks.
So once they're disturbed, how long does it take for them to settle back down? I realize this was months ago so am just asking to know the opponent. I've been watching in my area and noticing where bee boxes are since stumbling onto your site earlier this year. I'm in SE Kansas and so far no news of them showing up here yet. My brother in Missouri was keeping bees but gave them away, saying they'd become to aggressive for him. He didn't think they were the killer bees. I'm thinking the hive probably had taken on some killers.
Just a tip, I. Sure you know this but sometimes if you do rural beehives you can record them in perfect quality and post the video. This live is very grainy unfortunately. ✌🏽your pal from Detroit, BT

I have heard of using CO2 to kill a hive. The downside is that the hive needs to be sealed or sealable with the opening at or near the top. The CO2 fills up the space, and the bees die almost instantly. After, the CO2 disperses, and nothing is poisoned. I suppose that would work best with fire-ants.
I just had a brilliant idea you need to put out WARNININGS on the pathways and walkways with a sign at each entrance saying DANGER KILLER BEE REMOVAL IN PROGRESS

Some people I know who live in Oklahoma keep honey bees. They had a nice calm hive that one day killed a chicken. They thought it was a fluke but the next day they came after the dad when he started to mow the lawn, on the opposite side of the yard. They suited up, something they rarely did as their hives were gentle, and found a new queen was in the box. They marked their previous queen, They removed the new queen and replaced her with a new calm queen. The hive killed the new queen and were determined to create their own mean queen. They removed all new eggs to stop them from making their own, waited 2 weeks and again gave them a new queen. The hive let her lay eggs, then again killed the new calm queen and were making their own mean queen. They had to kill the whole hive as they became more and more aggressive. They sent samples to the state to be tested and they were hybrids, part killer bees and part European honey bees. When enough of the hybrids were in the colony their aggressive behavior took over the calm docile ones. Sometimes a new queen from a calm hive will mate with a drone from a killer bee hive and she will pass along those genetics into all of her eggs.
How about putting maybe a leather Velcro small patch where your noses touch the net on the inside and out of the nest Velcro so that it’s removable no more than a small square so that it doesn’t obstruct your vision but prevents contact with the bee
