- Killer Bee Nation! Holy Bee Barf! So you might want to keep some sweet little honeybees? Not here! It is next to impossible to keep your nice hives from becoming Africanized. This is what happens when you try to keep 'nice' bees in Southern Arizona. This hive is one of the meanest. Might as well slide to edge of your seat and get ready for about the worst hive EVER! These bees are going North so please tell you friends and family to watch our vids and learn! Remember though-NOT SUITABLE FOR ANY VIEWERS!

Love the channel.HOWEVER AFTER WATCHING A FEW EPISODES.
1. Get bigger bags.
2. Precut smaller bags before you leave in the morning.
3. Small foam blocks will keep the suits off and away from the back and shoulders and allow some air flow.
4. Pregame. Walk up on the hive with a bag of bags, tape, and adhesive BEFORE you agitate them.
Just some things I have observed.....
Thank you so much! Good ideas are always welcome! I'm glad you are enjoying the vids!
Wow no doubts that these were killer's. That lady was so lucky that she made it home. This has got to be one of the more aggressive hives you have filmed.
Really strange even for Killer Bees!
Are their any species that are more aggressive?
None that we know of. These seem to be the most aggressive species on the planet.
That's all they have in Arizona, they're all africanized at this point.
@@KillerBeeGuy I've read that some hives are less aggressive than others even among africanized bees. I've even heard of non-aggressive hives, and in Puerto Rico they're selecting to be less aggressive.
Holy crap they were attacking her and the camera just viciously! They are either incredibly brave or really insane! What they do is incredible.
They are brave AND insane! I'm glad you are enjoying the vids!
That bee lady could have been overtaken by those super aggressive bees before she ever got back to your truck for safety! I cannot believe she didn't wear her bee suit! "Just peek in" she says, then BAM all hell did break loose!!!
You got that right!
Addiction to salted pretzels and radical raspberry honey and these awesome adventures of crazy killer bee dude.
That hive was soo mean! Shocked even me!
You really perform a big social service. One that few would take on. Amazing.
No one in their right mind.
@@KillerBeeGuy : we need those kind of people
Hey,that is the special hairspray that lady used in her hair! Who knew bees liked looking stylish too.
Classic 'bee-hive hairdo'! More like a 'hair-don't'!
🤣🤣🤣
@@KillerBeeGuy 🤣🤣🤣
That's amazing ! Admire you guys for what you do .
Thank you so much!
I was attacked by a swarm of these one day just walking down the street. It was truly terrifying. I think I had bee PTSD for a year!
Holy bee barf! Where was that?
I stopped everything I was doing when this came up. Love your videos!
Awww! Thank you! This one is an epic. Mean mean mean!
I've never witnessed Bees going this crazy 🐝 🐝 🐝
Much worse in the beesuit!
That lady standing there with her little drawstring veil. Lol! They’re like “you wanna get your suit (hint hint hint)”. It’s fixing to be on like Donkey Kong! Oh man!
Ha! I've seen some crazy homemade suits too!
I love your killer bee videos keep them coming!!🐝🐝🐝🐝❤️ Haha.
You got it!
You guys are nuts, but thank you for all that you do.
Thanks Robert!
There are ways to get rid of aggressive bees and there are way to make very cool LOOKING vids about getting rid of aggressive bees. I once saw a lady in her 50s dealing with some bees that were EVERY bit as aggressive as the one you showed. I was in a truck watching with the ac on hi. She dealt with them like a pro they are now much less aggressive.
Please watch some more of our vids. Honeybees are invasive to the Western Hemisphere. We do not protect nor encourage anyone to protect invasive species.
@@KillerBeeGuy So your saying you advocate removing all honey production in the Western Hemisphere.
Not going to happen. Also what anyone advocates means nothing. People and animals getting injured and killed does. The honeybee, in what ever form, barring a world wide cataclysm, will always bee here. Kinda like mosquitoes and flies which, by the way, are not invasive here.
Reed/Amanda y’all need to design a trap hive
If you know the hive is super hot, why not leave the cover on and plug or tape the enrances... then you can wrap and bag without releasing them to attack...
The owner was on a serious deadline! We had to get them out of there!
@@KillerBeeGuy Exactly why plugging the entrance and leaving the lid on would have been a good idea...No bees to battle just bag and go...
@@Amethyst1919 It made for a better more entertaining video lol
Wow. That is the most I've seen so far on your suits! (disclaimer: have not seen all your videos, but alot of them..) :) HOLY BEES BATMAN!
It shocked even me! Soooo mean!
I believe its best to do this at night when all the bees are inside the hive. If you do it in day light like, all of them who become orphans will form a cluster some where nearby and one of the bees will become a queen. Only she will be a drone laying queen because she was not mated. Which means thousands of africanized drones are unleashed to mate with good bees in the area and turn them aggressive like this colony. you should go back there at night with a red light flashlight which the bees can not see and eradicate them all. Thanks for the video.
You are right but we are so busy that we can't just do removals at night. I wish though!
14:45 I swear it sounds exactly like there's a live Bee inside the right ear of my headphones. Ha!
You are welcome...
WOW Attack!!! There Crazy Mad! The Bee's.
So mean! They seem to be getting worse!
AZ has it bad. In Texas you also have to be very careful with beekeeping. I have had a hive swarm and the new queen mate with an Africanized drone and ultimately become very aggressive. If they are a little aggressive you can requeen but a very aggressive hive is dangerous and euthanization is the responsible action. Suit up at night, close the entrance and pour alcohol into the hive (or water with dish detergent) and close it up for the day, this kills all the bees including the drones that spread the DNA. This and varroa make beekeeping a lot of responsibility compared to the old days unfortunately. These guys do a good job (and make it entertaining too). These things are dangerous and their sheer numbers can overtake you quickly.
Hey Eddy! Thank you!
I think that was the meanest batch yet!
So mean! They just keep getting worse!
In Brazil they keep africanized bees for honey lol these Brazilians are crazy. Honey production has thrived in Brazil since their introduction
Right an all counts!
@@KillerBeeGuy There's a guy on youtube who has a channel called "killer beekeeper", he's a beekeeper who lives in Arizona and collects africanized bee hives and produces honey with them.
I've heard of him. Don't know anything about him though.
Even for a year old post. You guys are grossly unprepared. Step it up bee guys, step it up
Right away!
I'd be armed with everything I could possibly need before opening that lid!
Right!?
Another impressive video..
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'd read the majority of farmed honey bees in the U.S. are the Africanized. My brother kept bees awhile when we were kids so he did it again a few years ago. He sold them after short time saying too aggressive for him. He thinks maybe he should have killed them instead. He'd bought the queen from a reputable place and he was told Africanized.
I believe that most of the feral hives are Killers now! We've heard reports of swarms being sold that were Africanized! Horrible!
I would love to have some of that honey there
Just got to www.killerbeeguy.com !!
14:40 "Its normal for bottom lip to touch your nose... Right?" FUNNY
Ha! No not normal!
I'd imagine these ones dont usually come up in higher elevations. I used to be in the Prescott AZ area and as far as I know all I saw were a few honey bees.
When I was filmed by the History Channel 'Monster Quest' series, We went to Prescott in search of Killer Bees at higher elevations. All of them we found were sent back for testing and they were ALL Africanized! They're everywhere!!
@@KillerBeeGuy They're africanized at different frequencies, correct?
Do you have to remove all the stingers off your suit when you're done? How long does it take to do so?
We just throw them into a dedicated washing machine and hope for the best!
Those bees are absolute savage lunatics!
So mean!
I had headphones in watching this… you should too. It’s nuts.
I feel like I was there!
@@KillerBeeGuy 😆
I don't think last season has ended, its just going straight into the 2021 season.
Feels like that to us too. Already gearing up and getting calls.
Super mad bees . The first time I see a Bee hive is opened without smoke and then on top of it all it is Africanized bees. Open the hive without smoke and the bees is elevated in to super attack mode. Suggestion look at beekeepers in South Africa how to handle Africanized bees. I am sure it will go much easier. Bee regards from South Africa.
Welcome to the hive! I gave up on smoke because it wasn't consistent enough. Worked sometimes.
@@KillerBeeGuy I am sure the rest of the worlds bee keeping futurity cannot be wrong by working bees with smoke. It makes for a good camera shot to see this super mad bees.
Amadores...
Dmaner, them lil boogers were aggressive!
Meaner than hell!
I live in Tucson and was thinking this would be a good hobby, until i came on this video.
Ha! Good thinking! They are deadly. Come down to Bisbee sometime and visit our Killer Bee Honey store!
We have the same problem in Florida!
I believe it! They are everywhere!
Could have been better prepared for this one. Bigger bags, think outside the bee box.
Yup. The only bags we had that were bigger were under my eyes...
Damn those bees were super pissed
That's how they are all getting!
Did killer bees move in or did a queen mate with killer drones and cause this?
That is always the question. Just from looking it's impossible to tell. Of course the outcome is always the same!
When I run into a hot hive I suit up, do a Teranov split (I don’t have to Waste time finding the Queen). Let the old hive requeen itself. The Teranov split now has a much reduced colony of young bees which is easier to handle, I let them get started and about a week later pop the head off the Queen and let it requeen itself. Then I monitor until I am sure I don’t have a hot hive.
Why do you remove the top. If you want to dispatch a hive bag it all first.
If you insist on dispatching the hive Mano e Mano use a pump sprayer with water and dishwashing soap. Take off the lid and start hosing the soapy solution takes them down instantly and kills them because it blocks breathing entrances.
The nuke em all attitude makes for UA-cam drama but isn’t necessary and just alarms people who don’t understand. The biggest problems occur with a F1 cross keep crossing and selecting and you will have manageable bees.
Interesting. Wondering where you live. Letting any hive down here to 're-queen' itself is just job security for us. All queens are genetically Africanized. Also please watch 'World War Bee' on this channel to see about requeening here in AZ. Thanks so much for the feedback and I'm looking forward to chatting more!
Are you guys in yuma az ever? My parents have a big hive on the side of their house
Sorry but no.
Before I would open the lid on the bees box I would opened a trash bag and set the box in it first then I would open the top lid the if they showed aggression I would twist the top of that bag up quit.
It was so heavy we couldn't do it safely.
Wow 😲😲
As a beekeeper myself in Colombia where all bees are Africanized and we don't have European genes, I'm wondering why you all didn't wait until evening when the foraging bees were back in the hive and simply seal the entrance/exits with wire mesh to prevent bees escaping? Normally, I have seen the use of trash bags to suffocate the bees as the risk to life is too great to continue with the "hot" genes of the hive. Were you just relocating this hive or destroying the colony to make room for a new one with a new European queen and nuc? If I'm completely honest, you all see very unprepared to be working with this hive...dropping equipment, walking away from the hive, not having everyone wearing full protection...having to go back to the truck for equipment that you should have had ready before opening the hive. I'm glad no one was hurt but this is not how you should approach hive rescue or destruction.
Welcome to the hive! Actually we are just way too busy to wait to do any removal. Doing up to 10 a day. More vids coming!
What are you spraying them with? Is that a commercial insecticide? Or just sugar water?
We use a non toxic spray adhesive to knock them out of the air!
does the cold effect the anger in these bees?
They will attack well below freezing before they get away from the hive 50' and then realize how cold it is!
Why do you use spray adhesive? What’s it supposed to do?? Curious 🤨
Hey Wendy! It sticks their wings together in mid flight so they fall to the ground and can't fly.
@@KillerBeeGuy thanks for taking time to answer my silly question. That makes total sense now! Duh 🙄
I don't get it. How can some bees manage to sting through the suit while 99.9% of the rest can't? Are there just weak areas in the fabric that can't be helped?
It's a numbers game. When there are that many it's going to happen.
Well the bagging attempt went well.
That was special.
Do you mind if I ask how much you charge for a job like this or similar to this?
Do you have bees? In Cochise County?
Is this the client who started another hive right after all this?
No. That was WWB!
I am someone who is thinking of moving from Florida to the Phoenix area. How often are bees a problem for the public in this area? Are killer bees something you see daily? I also have a medium sized dog that loves to stick his nose in any bush he sees, and besides bees, I know scorpions and poisonous spiders are a thing as well, so I am quite nervous about that.
You have plenty of Africanized Honeybees in FL. You'll be fine! Come visit Bisbee!
@@KillerBeeGuy I have heard that some have migrated here. Haven't seen any as of yet though, least I don't think so haha. If I am ever in Bisbee I'd love to check out your store!
Hell ya! Right on Main St!
@@jonathansagall9973 You've seen them on flowers most likely, maybe many times, they look exactly like common european bees, they don't bother people when they're pollinating or doing their thing, they are only a threat if you disturb their hive, or rather, if they perceive you as a threat to their hive.
iv a strange compulsion to do this job, just fuckin love how hectic it is...or mayby its the free beetox, hmmmm im not sure.
It's a total adrenaline rush every time.
First!!!! Those bees are stupid mean!!!!
Really got my attention! Shocked the shit out of me!
So once you take away the hive don’t the ones flying about just make a new one somewhere nearby?
The remnant bees are like an amputated limb. You can live without your finger but your finger can't live without you.
I was about to ask how do you know they are killer bees and the all hell broke loose. It’s crazy
Ha! Gets obvious real fast!
Do these bees kill wildlife, ranch animals, pets, people? It sounds catastrophic having them here. Will they have to just kill all beehives there and go without pollenating plants?
Here's some interesting info for you. European honey bees are Invasive to the Western Hemisphere! They do not belong here! All of the native plants here DO NOT need honey bees to pollinate their flowers. We have 1000's of native pollinators to do that!
Ever Work with someone who can make even the small small projects & jobs long and extensive !?
Wow, wax worms turn into wax moths? I just keep learning
Let's go fishing!!
They were pissy!!! I find it amazing the different types of normally calm bees but the African genetics control their demeanor. But I do have a question , maybe a dumb one,, but is it possible to keep re Queening an Africanized hive an genetically transforming back to a manageable calm bees?? Thanks..
Absolutely! The problem here is that you have to keep re-queening all the time and it is EXPENSIVE!
I watch this show and I am amazed. I am for saving bees, however these bees are so mean and need to be exterminated. My brothers bees never sting.
I'd be tempted to use a flamethrower on those nasty bees
Theoretically you can have a manageable africanized hive, beekeepers in Brazil certainly use Africanized bees, that's all they have. They will even argue that they're superior. So yeah, technically you can have an africanized hive, just gotta deal with much more pissy bees lol
@@hhlech2852 Tell that to the Brazilians who use them for honey production, and they're also important for agriculture. In Brazil and other latin american countries, including south US states like Arizona, all the honey bees are africanized
This is normal in South Africa😂
Nah.
Damn those bees are scary
Super scary!
What happens to the displaced bees since you took home away? I'd hoped you killed them but didn't see that if you did
Please check out our other vids. It's all explained!
Have you ever heard of them being in South Carolina
Yes. They are in all of the lower 48 and Ontario!
Holy Bee Hell !

Yep so bee careful see what I did there 😁
So are there even any bee keepers in AZ with the KB problem?
All of the small bee keepers in the SW have problems with these bees!
@@KillerBeeGuy and just no way to eradicate them 100% which is a shame but then we wouldn’t get anymore videos and see your sunny netted faces and your wonderful personalities. Bee safe out there.

We use a non toxic spray adhesive to knock the bees out of the air!
Why did you never use smoke? Wouldn't that c as lmao them a bit?
I haven't used smoke in years. These bees just don't care!
I wanna try Killer Bee honey i heard it tastes different from regualar Honey Bee Honey.
Actually not. It's the same. www.killerbeeguy.com
And the warning about the language was a nice touch! The only words that bother me are when the Lord's Name is used in vain for swearing, I hardly notice any other bad words.
We please to aim!
I suppose you had to do that like a couple of amateurs because it wouldn't have made much of a video if there weren't bees everywhere trying to sting you. Pretty mean bees though I have to agree with that !!!
It gets worse!
Hi Honey !
Awwww. Poopsie. Vicious bees huh? How the hell are you?
@@KillerBeeGuy I was attacked by turkeys yesterday....
Two legged turkeys?
Is there three or four leggers?
Are thems front legs or back legs on them thar turkeys?
He didn't have his armed taped properly - nor did they tape around their feet. Why do people go lax on their suits like that? I would never do that crap if I did this. Well Mr. older wise guy was taped properly at least :) Oh and IT IS possible to do bee keeping in AZ - it's just a MASSIVE pain in the butt - and it is something typically only companies with well trained staff can pull off (Honey Hive Farms AZ). Let's just say the people who do this work are just as suited up if not more so as Killer Bee Guy - because yeah they gotta deal with mean hives and euthanize them quickly with soap water. Either that or they just deal with them the best they can.
More vids coming! Also you are right-you can keep bees but it is a huge liability here in AZ. The law states that if your bees-specifically feral hives- sting someone you are liable. I think for most folks it's safer to buy local honey!
Is there an extensive licensing process for keeping hives in AZ?
No. Anyone can keep bees!
Well Brazilian beekeepers actually use africanized bees for honey production, so yeah, it's possible. In Latin America that's basically they only choice of honey bees they have and they use them, some actually will argue that they are superior because they produce more honey etc...
Water + Soap = it would have been over in 5 minutes... It ain't hard, people...
I haven't used soapy water in years. WAY too many complaints about the mess.
Why would that lady try to keep bees in AZ?
We try to educate as many folks moving into the state as we can. Not everyone gets the memo!
@@KillerBeeGuy true. . . makes sense. But gosh this video was pretty scary! I hope folks understand how dangerous. For fuck sakes don't try to keep bees in AZ .. . .yikes! 😬
These bees were out to kill. You guys were covered in killer bees. Nasty MF aren’t they.
They are the worst!
Lol. U have a mask on and your outside wtf.
Wow. You would rather we breath the spray adhesive? Also it's on the label (which is the LAW) to wear one when using any aerosol. I also have allergies and SHOULD wear one all the time. Judgmental much?
@@KillerBeeGuy it's just wackos wearing a mask outside. There was no one spraying anything at that time.
Again wow. So to satisfy you I am to only wear the mask at the exact moment that I am spraying? Which would mean taking off my bee net and risk getting stung to death to put it on and take it off? Did you miss the part about the allergies? Any other wardrobe suggestions?
That is not Africanized at all
No response.
Not pissing on your videos, but why don’t you bring the adhesive and anything else you KNOW you are going to need? You wait till they pour out then “ oh I’m going back to the truck to get adhesive. I’ve seen you do that in every video I’ve seen of yours. Your not new to the game, it’s your service, it’s what you advertise on your truck, it’s your specialty. You know that you need the adhesive, pin that junk on you like a bunch of f-ing grenades. In the military they would tell you to get your head out of your ass because your going into battle with nothing but a uniform. You left your weapons in the truck. Yea I’m not right in the head, it just bugs me when people don’t bring tools to the work site and you have someone who isn’t with or covered by your company’s insurance.
A bandolier of spray adhesive! I like it!
STOP WITH THE MUSIC CUTS. It’s stupid and takes away from the video
Well Killer Bee Nation! I personally am having a ton of fun with my 'music cuts'. What do YOU think?
@@KillerBeeGuy they suck
@@KillerBeeGuy I personally love the editing and production of each video. They have gotten better and better over time, and now almost look professionally produced! I say keep them.
My thoughts exactly! Not sure who slapshot1343 is, but sounds like a bit of schadenfreude ya? What does the rest of the Killer Bee Nation think about this dilemma?
Oh my! That is brilliant! Onward with the music! And all the fun special effects!
This is just a showboat show. If you had equipment ready and worked faster to cover the hive they would not spill out like they did. Further, stopping to play to the camera allowed thousands to get out. Talk and educate after its secure. Waste of my time. All you need is a real cool walk like John Wayne and it would be a perfect act.
John Wayne? I was thinking Ted Nugent.
