    I’m a Louisville resident, and this situation paints a perfect picture of how Louisville metro police treat its city’s residents. This police force has totally embarrassed itself again. There 100’s of police in Shelbyville rd outside of Valhalla and I have lots of pics of the police just standing around staring at their phones doing absolutely nothing. if you need a someone to testify to the negligence of LMPD please let me know

      @@mackenzieshepherd5754So you’d betray your sibling by putting down his place of work…Shows what kind of person you are … How are they out of control because some rich dude who probably feels like he has privilege normal people don’t have got into a thing with police??? How are they out of control because they bust criminals and get rough with people fighting with them who more than likely committed a crime.. Generally speaking police don’t get rough with you unless they have a very good reason… and this is coming from someone who has been arrested.. it was my own fault for being stupid and in fact breaking a law .. I never once blamed the police for my actions..You ever see the show “Cops” a dude who just broke into a liquor store saying he didn’t do anything or my personal favorite he has drugs on him and he doesn’t know how it got there,, they ain’t his pants… Yeah the police are out there harassing people and arresting them for no reason… please..

      I lived 1/2 mile up the hill going towards Shelbyville. Louisville PD once again makes headlines for all the wrong reasons. My condolences to the family who lost their loved one. That is not a stretch of road people should be walking. There is a 4ft ditch directly off the side of the road and then a steep embankment. There is no where for a pedestrian to get out of àthe way of an oncoming car. I walked that stretch of road every day for 3 months. Most dangerous road Ive ever walked.

Then still driving with a cop on the vehicle is just inexcusable. Ppl wanna say “why was the cop on the Car” maybe they should look up video of other situations where cops do the same thing, I’ve seen traffic stops where they’re holding onto the window as the suspect tries to drive off, they’re not trying to let them get away. Scottie dragged the cop 20 yards, that’s definitely assault, imagine if the cop was ran over and killed, you think ppl would still be defending him over it? As retired police officer in a senior executive position I can almost guarantee this is a situation that could have been avoided with sufficient supervision on the scene. This is a case of pissing of the police (POP) that should have been met with a citation given the circumstances. No probably an off-duty detail for the Louisville Police officers and any and all arrests should have a supervisor on the scene capable of discretion.

    • @stevennicholas8185
      @stevennicholas8185 8 місяців тому +1

      Not necessarily. Depends on the department. Some departments detectives are merely senior police officers, subordinate to sergeants (excluding detective sergeants) that conduct investigations. Some agencies detectives have some "authority" over others, within the parameters of a specific investigation. Detectives are often hired to work off-duty details, such as this golf tournament, with duties unrelated to their position in the department (e.g. traffic enforcement, executive protection). It is possible this detective was "on-duty" working the traffic fatality scene. I cannot imagine any circumstance that Scheffler would've made it from the site of the arrest, through the booking procedure and into a cell without a significantly high ranking member of the PD being apprised of the situation.
