Those new blue lights they've been putting them up all around that area messes with your eyes alittle when your around them. Not sure if its the new energy saving lights or if they are for bugs but they're annoying while driving. That's the truck stop I frequent in Sabetha I get dispatched from that Mill in Fairview just to the southeast of Sabetha. I was in Topeka both days you were just at different times lol. Be safe out there and hope to see you on the road sometime.
Reason they are switchin power light poles from the old white to blue lights is because it is easier on eyes for eye strain.... It also reflects more light to see road lines better & to see road signs better since signs and road lines are luminescent they glow and are much easier to see at night and it attracts farless bugs as well
You will want to cultivate the nap routine! Almost all of my male friends in the 60/70+ range have worked it in to the daily plan. It can be very restorative in as little as 20 minute episodes but that varies depending on what you need. There is a special zone around 2 pm that's just about golden for me. OTOH, mid-morning, say 10:30, just a short nap can provide a real energy boost. That hours of service regulations do not take into consideration that everyone has unique rest requirements. Sugar and caffeine do more to screw up optimal nap time more than just about anything imaginable. For those who can pick up a sugar high, you also learn how it goes when the sugar has been metabolized!
Opie is a good looking fellow. Naps a good things when we're adults. Best nap I ever had was when I was dreaming of taking a nap. It was hard to wake up from that one. Sometimes our bodies need the reset that the nap gives us. You're right. When you drive a vehicle for a long time you pick up on when they needs some work done. On a old pickup once I was driving it and I was getting a vibration that wasn't right. It was the u-joint by the axel. The needle bearings had went out. I spent the afternoon replacing both u-joint. So I was sitting here in the truck taking a little break having a little something to eat, and I was listening to your video and watching your video but listening to it through the stereo system of the truck and I was like man listen to that truck. First of all I was like man I could just play the sound of his truck through my stereo and pretend like I have a real truck and not a bubble truck although I have the Kenworth t680 it's still a bubble truck with a grass burner so then I was like man that's kind of loud I don't know how he can stand that all day seems louder than normal LOL sorry bro you'll get her fixed

What a pain in the butt, having a leak in one pipe especially with those straight stacks. Loved the blue street lights, I'm light sensitive and found the blue quite easy on my eyes. Same thing with your red dash lights, we are not supposed to change our dash bulbs out for colour bulbs and it seems that we can't get dimmer switches fitted now days either. Would Opie wear a raincoat if I got him one? Thinking of a great Aussie company that do the best coats for humans and dog humans to. Called Dryz-a-bone and they are like oilskins. The ones for humans are mid calf length and the dog ones just have straps to go around their bellies. Let me know what your thoughts on one for him. Hey, Topeka Native, I see you enter I-70 and 2nd and Madison, a much easier/safer entry way is going West Bound on 1st, keep going past Topeka Blvd and you’ll get right to another I-70 West entry ramp, atleast most of the time it makes a difference, sometimes now. Just looking out for y’all, some Topekans can’t drive on that turn
My Uncle learned the hard way about getting rest and taking a nap. He was up at least 20 hours a day along with being on call. It took a toll on his body.
My dogs funny. 8 1/2 pound Morkie (Maltese & Yorkie). Thunder Bangers and even Fireworks (that could wake the dead) don't bother her. She's quite content to continue laying at my feet, while I'm working in the office. I've even run a 3 1/2 hp router and had wood chips flying and covering my pup. But if I grab a hammer to tap a nail in? She run's and hides under the bed, before I even tap that nail. Go figure.?
