Hey Kurt good show I was a trucker for 47 years, started out driving a 10 wheeler dump truck when I was 18 the boss gave me a trailer when I was 20 years old. Then I started hauling steel when I was 21 ,did that for 7 years, now my dad was a car hauler ,so he begged me for a couple years, so finally I took him up on it when I was 28 ,and hauled cars as an owner operator for 37 years, I retired at 65 in 2006 ,now I'm 84 and still like to see the same roads riding with you and and trucker Josh and J B G travels , thanks for your videos I enjoy every one of them them .
It's OK to talk to yourself. It's also OK to answer yourself. When ya start arguing with yourself. That's when ya run into problems. Lol I hope when the school bus went into the ditch, there weren't any kids aboard. I'm so ready for summer. Last night, we were at 4⁰ in my neck of the woods in Michigan. Little too cold for me! We have 69 days til Spring! 😊 Stay safe!
I don't know what I would have done without all my Rand McNally Maps back when I drove all 48 States and Canada. I think there is a box somewhere in our Attic with all of them in it. The maps would be from the 1970's and early 80's when I drove. My first truck was a 1969 Emeryville Cabover.
@@bryanbennett972 Mine was a White Road Commander. We called it a White Road Commode . Shiney 290. Had to pull 45 ft vinyl side trailers. The trailers were owned by the Insulation Company we hauled for and they had them all painted up with their product on there. The drivers called them Circus Wagons !
Kurt, I still have a couple paper maps from back in the day, called them "Road Trip Maps" but mainly stayed in the glove box for the trips unless going somewhere new. I'd bet that Royal Thai Message Center next to the truck stop offered their special "Full Service" package for an extra charge to relieve your stress too!
First time you said INSANITY I laughed so hard I almost choked. Kurt you really do give me something to look forward to most evenings. I know I'm not the first to tell you "your damn funny at times" THX AND SAFE TRAVELS 🙏

Hello, Trucker Kurt. We know you can back into the openi g!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉. Yes, I watched Ryan Hall when his cameras were showing all of the traffic setting and waiting a day or two for them to open them. Stay safe.🙏🙏🙏..Saint Joseph got hit hard.. LOVED YOUR VIDEO..❤️❤️❤️.
Hey Kurt, there is nothing worse when you’re but starts hurting especially when there’s no place to pull over, it seems like no matter what you do with the seat or moving around help until you get out and walk around
Kurt, I think you're at the Love's in St. Joe that the storm chaser I watch was at during the height of the storm. It was absolute chaos - people were actually stuck/parked on the entrance hill. This is nothing compared to that. Stay safe!
That was a good video Kurt came through the capital city it takes time to go anywhere and safely we. Missed the storm but got hit with some cold weather to bad you had to bobtail back but long as you made it safely back home thanks for posting Kurt giving the people a tour of Iowa some places enjoyed it have hauling freight slowed down got to take loads that makes money glad you posted good hearing from you thanks again my friend
My dad was a trucker. I have paper maps, and an Atlas. Dad nor my brother ever had gps. 80 years of trucking we believe in the old way. GPS gets truckers in trouble in the hills of Tn. Large wrecker bills.
So I came off the road in 1998 when my daughter was born but prior to that the two most amounts of snow 15 inches in Iowa then 33 inches of lake affect in Pittsburgh but the worst was 2014 after I started working for the county hwy dept with the blowing and drifting and sub zero wind temps. So now the new travel agent says stay home and watch county hwy boys drive by! HaHa love it.
I live in Lathrop,MO just north of KC of exit 40 on i-35 and we have close to 23 inches in our back deck. Of course we live out in the country. I was over on i-68 in Cumberland,MD where i waited out the storm Sunday.
Worst road I can remember was in Louisiana can’t remember the city but I ended up taking the route around it rather than going thru it every time I went that way. Man I’m talking looking behind for parts falling off rough.
We had o travel in that storm on Sunday, I had hip replacement surgery scheduled for the 6th, Kansas did not plow any highways and Leawood didn’t plow any roads either. We made it but it was rough going.
I live in SE VA and folks are losing their minds over the 3” forecasted for tomorrow night into Saturday morning. It rarely snows and if it does, it’s usually gone the next day.
👍👍🐕🦺 It's been a decade since we had a storm like that come here in E. St Louis. Like we had this past weekend. Then single digit temps. finally hit 32 today, now 4" more snow tonight. Couple of nice rest areas there. I always thought IA rest areas were nice. We are still dragging trucks in from the past snow/ice. Thanks for Sharing You can tell you miss Opie. We all do Tom
I saw that bus in the ditch on another video, and I have a box of those fold up maps at home plus a couple in my truck still outside of the good Ole atlas, I even carry around a LA map book that I bought when I started trucking 33 years ago. Granted it is way out dated, all those eastern burbs like Ontario California isn't even in this one😅

Yep …. a weedkiller for sure …. massive global usage, and quite controversial as to whether it is a cause of cancer. Interesting load in a freezer van that carries a lot of food products.
please keep that snow down there. I don't need it here lol But.... It is supposed to snow tomorrow a bit. hopefully it don't get too bad up here. Usually we are covered a foot deep by now but I will take no snow as long as I can. It's the snow that locks me in the house.
When phone system crashes people are going to be up a creek, they will not be able to get from point A to point B . Because they can't read a road map. 😂😂
Yes Kurt, the dislike button still exists. Not necessary for your work, Thank you for the video. Been there, done that, but,,, I miss it all. I really do, through good and bad, I was a trucker. Safe travels,,,, Paul
After watching you drivers, Schmidt, Gentry, JBG, FSC, Dan, etc, there sure is no shortage of road construction anywhere you look across the country, yet we have infrastructure that is just falling apart left and right, talk about a money pit! The road construction reminds me of the never ending construction of the WINCHESTER HOUSE in San Jose, Ca.

I agree

Be careful counting on Google maps because there are still places where they are not accurate.
I look at the maps to see where the railroads are
That would be round up, Glycophospate is the common name for it. You were probably carrying concentrate to make this years weed killer.
