Thank you for mentioning the Gruppo 1881 Forum. We recognise that the easiest association of the new LE SRPH19 / SBSA137 is with the famous “Pogue” 6139-6005, but we of the Gruppo 1881 Italian forum, when we designed our entry for the Custom Watch Beatmaker competition, we had firmly in mind the strong Seiko tradition, which made great use of this color scheme in many references throughout its history: 6309-836B (the real ancestor), 7A28-7030, even a Pulsar Y563-6019, just to name a few. All in all, we are more than happy that our design was loved so much, collected so many votes and it is met toady with so many appraisals. Having said that, this is the occasion to encourage everyone to study more the history and the stylistic language of our Brand. Cheers 🇮🇹🐍🇯🇵 #Gruppo1881 #Seiko5SportsGruppo1881
Thanks Gruppo 1881 for commenting and submitting your winning design! I actually had screen shots of the other references you mentioned, but they hit the editor's floor.
@@MountainStandardTime It might have been designed thinking of 6309-836B but Seiko fans voted and made it win only because it looked like "Pogue" and not because of the original inspiration. "Gruppo 1881" people sure got lucky ....😄
This Seiko is inspired to another Seiko 5: the 6309-836b The Pogue has nothing to do with the design of this one: is a chronograph After all; the 6309-836b in the other hand was a Seiko 5 as well as his modern re-interpretation SRPH19/SBSA137 is. Thanks for the credits to our forum the "Gruppo1881" 🇮🇹👍🏻
Yep! You're absolutely correct. I actually had screen shot photos of the 836b ready to go, but they hit the editor's floor. People don't know about the 826b, but they're familiar with the iconic Pogue.

Why won't you hold it straight to the camera? It looks like you have the chapter ring off to the left yourself.. Besides, an aftermarket black ceramic chapter ring would go real well with that watch.
Mine arrived in perfect shape. Dial, chapter ring & bezel all lineup perfectly. I've never been a Pogue fan and prefer the more champagne color of the SRPH19(reminds me of the old Casio AMW-320R) but yours is in near mint condition from what I can see and looks fantastic.
@@freequest Yeah, avoid them like a plague if you're OCD about alignment. So far almost all my Seikos that come with a bezel have this issue. I even sold one because the alignment was way beyond my tolerance threshold! 😅 Sadly, even without a bezel, there's still the chapter ring to contend with. 😫

Great to hear yours lined up! Are you sure it’s a real SEIKO? 🤣 Yes, I’ll admit I’m biased with my Pogue’s gold. Just sub’d to your channel!
@@MountainStandardTime LOL, only misaligned ones are the real McCoys! 😅
YEAH YOU DONTWANT IT TOO YELLOW BRO. IS A NICE COLOR YOU CAN SEE IT WHITE SOMETIMES WHICH I LIKE ABOUT IT SO MUCH.
I got mine last week, too and so far am loving it. My bezel matches up perfectly. I wish the face was closer to the original yellow-gold.
NO YOU DONT WANT IT TOO YELLOW. THIS IS PERFECT
Both dials look like pee
My BEATMAKER HAS A SBSA137 TAG ATTACHED. IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM SRPH19?
Could be different reference numbers for different market regions i.e. US vs Japan
That is a stunning seiko 5 SRPH19 can't wait for the full review
Thanks Sixkiller!
Mine also has misaligned bezel. I wonder how many of the 2021 watches actually are aligned properly. Lovely Pogue by the way.
Thanks! After looking at it closely, it might be the way the chapter ring minute markers were printed. They all might look misaligned due to that.
At least you're certain you got a real Seiko! 😅
Why I never buy Seiko Dive style watches. Do get the dress watches like the cocktail time ones.

Thanks for sharing. I’m still anxiously awaiting my preorder to be delivered in Australia, so it was great to get an early look at the real thing.
Glad to help Peter! Please sub if ya haven’t already. So close to 1K! 😀
I was notified today that mine has been posted from Sydney! So you might get advised as well..
@@Michael-wq7kx Did you get yours yet? How'd it line up?
@@MountainStandardTime yes arrived a couple of weeks ago. Very happy with it.
Love the Pogue, the Seiko 5 is another missed opportunity by Seiko. Thanks for the video. 👍
