To be fair, muddstah targeting him the first place was a mistake. The blood moon effect was the only thing that allowed muddstah to develop the way he did. He could have taken far greater advantage of that free time instead of pissing off alan so they both go screwed.
A few thoughts: 1. Gotta be careful with Blood Moon like effects. Muddash nearly ran away with the game at first because he was faster than Alan's deck, and the other two decks were effectively disabled. Muddash probably could have afforded to be more aggressive, but hindsight. 2. Don't overtarget. Muddash point this out in his video and I'm agreeing here, there's four players at the table, not two. I can't tell you the number of games where a player sits there without doing much for 90% of the game, and then wins, because he has been ignored. 3. Don't overfocus on dealing with opponents steal effects. Cards like Etali do hurt to fight against, and the temptation to try to take them out to protect your uncast stuff is very tempting, but they don't provide a guaranteed path to victory. The Spell Seeker and Sun Titan offer that path, and one or the other should have been Dryaded instead.
Another thought: Be aware of your position on the table. Maybe deal with the person whose turn is coming next rather than the person who still has to sit through two other people's turns.
Phil had already tutored for Cyclonic Rift at that point, so Song of the Dryads would only delay Phil for a turn, at best... and the target would have to be Aminatou, because she would flicker any other permanent, getting rid of the Song in the process.
I agree with most of your points. Aside from 3. Effects that allow you to circumvent mana cost are one of the strongest in mtg and edh. While Etali probably does not hit synergistic pieces on your decks they are probably still good (except for the 30-40% they hit lands) but with effects like sensei or scroll rack that allow you to manipulate the top they are very very dangerous and should be dealt with.
Re: Song of the Dryads, Aminatou can blink any permanent you own, so the enchant would have been useless against her stuff, it'd only have changed sequencing a bit.

Can somebody please tell me what triggered gravestorm so many times on the game winning turn? Idk what the cycle was, but he said there was a cycle. Pls explain?
Francisco Pinheiro the sphinx enters and returns a artifact from the graveyard to the battlefield. He targets the phyrexian metamorph and returns it to the battlefield which copies the Sphinx and the legend rule makes him sacrifice one of the sphinxes which then gets returned by the new Sphinx and causes infinite death triggers which allows as much gravestrom as the player wants which lets him cast a card that exiles all his opponent’s libraries. Hope this helped :)
Let me give a more detailed explanation. Sharuum is a legendary Artifact Sphinx that returns an artifact from graveyard to play when she hits the board. As such, he brings back the Phyrexian Metamorph; which comes in as a copy of Sharuum; also gaining her etb; which then is put on the stack. However, legend rule also kicks in and forces him to sacrifice one if the Artifact sphinxes; so he sacrifices the real one so he can target it with the Metamorph's copied etb. Real Sharuum comes into play, her ability goes on the stack, and legend rule kicks in again; and he sacrifices the Metamorph this time so Sharuum can target it. Metamorph comes in and copies Sharuum again. Etb goes on the stack; sacrifice real Sharuum to state-based effects......... Rinse and repeat an infinite number of deaths for Bitter Ordeal's Gravestorm ability.
@@Ygo1ohcysP Correction: it's not a sacrifice. The second legendary permanent is simply put into the graveyard. This matters for creatures that care about sacrifices, like Savra and Mazirek.
