Nice bike, I have the 2021 version in 7.0 too, it does a great job. On the other hand, I don't know how you manage to ride with your fork settings, on this 35 gold, if we close the compression we increase the hydraulic saturation and it hits too much. I advise you to try a SAG of 15%, LSC fully open with a well open rebound, the fork will not be comfortable (not a mat on small impacts) but on the other hand it will have a much healthier behavior, will not rebound more anyhow and will offer more grip (and less diving under braking and in the steep). For the rear tire, Forekaster is frankly a tire that I did not like at all, I advise you to try an Agressor if you want to keep rolling or downright a DHRII for grip and braking (but harder to Pull)
Cool to see a fellow cragger rider :) I will make sure to try your settings, but felt like less sag made the fork super uncomfortable and stiff.. I just ordered volume spacers, will be interesting to try :) I don't share your opinion on the forekaster, I feel it's a perfect mix between rolling resistance and grip 😊 Maybe depends on where in the world one rides!
@@Mikesbikerides Yes, this makes the fork less comfortable in the parking lot, because necessarily less sensitivity on small shocks. On the other hand, when you roll a little more, the fork is much healthier. The mid-stroke support is given by the spring, the tokens themselves are only used for the end of stroke in the event of a tailgating problem. Adding Tokens to compensate for something else is putting a bandage on a wooden leg. For the Forekaster, tires are a bit like underpants, everyone has their own preferences. But on my side I found that the grip was sorely lacking. Behind, it's the least worse, but at the front no way to find the confidence and grip to position yourself well and work on your "cornering style";)
I have no idea about the wheight but will find out soon :) it's a medium with kind of a short reach, which seems to be just right for me! But knowing that comes from having ridden other bikes and compared😃
Hey! Great video! I’m looking at a Radon Cragger, same frame as yours in fact, which is an 18” (medium I guess), may I ask, what size is yours and how tall are you? I’m 5”11 so trying to see if the medium will fit or do I go up to the 20”. Currently riding a large hardtail. Cheers!
Thanks man! Actually I went by my optimal reach for sizing. My reach should be around 430mm which puts me at a medium. I am 180cm tall or 5'10 ca. A large for me feels too big. Medium is much more manouverable and nimble in my opinion 😊 Hope this helps!
@@Mikesbikerides Thanks for the insights, really appreciate it! Rookie question, it’s been a while since I brought a new bike however, how did/do you determine your optimal reach? Was it based on previous bikes, other data points or another method? As I said, it’s been a while since I last purchased a bike, it seems that finding the right size is more than just the seat tube size!
@@RichardDavies1983 No problems, happy to help :) Yeah there's a video about this that I found very helpful! Link at the bottom of this comment. Also you can learn alot from Steve over at hardtail party. But yeah, The seat tube is probably the last thing I'd focus on. Paying attention to some key geometry helps alot. Like reach, stack, chainstay length etc. You can get close with theory but then you have to test a few bikes to make up your own mind. I have been riding the cragger for a while now and I like the geo but it's a very harsh frame, stiff! It almost entirely shares geo with the Ragley Big Al, but the Big al is supposed to be very supple for aluminium and ride totally different.. So yeah, alot goes into bike choice but seat tube is an old street-bike measurement! ua-cam.com/video/HyppZOpHocM/v-deo.html
@@RichardDavies1983 Oh and as Steve at hardtail party says, Almost every company uses the same tubes for all sizes, which might make the XL more supple since the rider is going to be heavier, and then small probably will feel super stiff for a small rider. Which also complicates things :D
@@Mikesbikerides Thanks for all the info! Really appreciate it, you have made me rethink sizing and I have been reading up on all the different geometry measurements that should be taken into consideration. I also spoke to Radon who recommended the 18” based on the info I provided so have booked a test ride for the weekend so hoping it will fit and be comfortable! 🤞🤞Again, really appreciate you taking the time to help!!
Ca 70-80 psi. Ganska lite med tanke på min vikt, sen har jag mycket slow speed compression damping så att den inte ska dyka för mycket vid inbromsning.
04:59 you killed it

another great vlog. where did you find the frame?
Thanks buddy! Found it on swedish biking site Happyride.. they have classifieds :)

For me just a super for everything bike😎😎
Yeah I'm liking it more and more each time I ride :)
Just out of curiosity, what does the complete bike weigh and what size is it?
