Without Carl that job couldn't possibly get that pour done. He held that rake perfectly and answered all the questions with great oratorical skill. You go Carl.
I am a little bit late to the game, however, I am assuming that you will be putting up a timber frame building as by and large you Americans do and the “ footings “ or as we say foundations are not engineered to take the load off a single span 180 so the ( kinda ) obvious question is why have you not done foundations the length of the building to carry the load of the uprights that will support the load?
It probes down into the hay and blows hot air through it in batches of 15-25 minutes. It won't work all that well without a roof haha. We are hoping to get that soon

He's a legend
Good video.
Thank you!
Dont forget your sunscreen!
Yes of course!
That building is going to be crazy big. The cement trucks looked small in the area 😂
We can’t wait to see how much hay it can pack in
180 x 300, is one and 1/4 acres. That's a big building.
Yeah, its a monster lol
Impressive building. Any plans for all the water that will being draining off the roof ? What will power the dryer, propane ? Thanks for the video.
Can see a pond dug out in the back ground about 200 ft behind new building.
Thank you! It is a diesel motor that powers a generator.
That's the plan for now with approval
Nice.
Thank you!
This is going to be a massive barn when completed. Will you be cementing the entire floor area?
No sir, we don't have the funds for that right away. Right now it will just be the side where the dryers are that will be concrete
so is that barn supposed to store around 150,000 bales
Since the one wing will be allocated for the drying set up and not storage, somewhere around there yes

Hey Andy good question. If I am understanding you correctly, we have done foundation for the poles on the inside. I just haven't shown it yet
How big of a barn would you suggest to hold about 20,000 small square bales
What kind of stacking system? Would you want to go real tall or not really?
@@FarmingInsider I’m thinking it’ll be similar to how you have it or at least that’s what I want to do. So it’d be decently tall
What situation would your guns be dangerous 😂
Defending myself against elementary school children 😂
so whats a dryer and how does it work without a roof

Top off not a good look , big shed , can't wait to see it up
How could you tell? The tops of his shoulders were the most we saw.
It was hot outside lol!
