      @Robert Cole. Cheers mate, the respect is appreciated. In order to fully understand the drill movements and the music of the Massed Bands at this non-dress rehearsal at Wellington Barracks, have a look at a vid of Trooping The Colour and you'll see how it all comes together on the actual day.

      Peggy T and Maria Cornwallis, I don't know what is going on. But as I said I'm retired US Navy Hospital Corpsman and served many years with US Marines and prior to joining the Navy was an Air Force Medic for four years; Originally from Niagara Falls NY and while growing up spent about as much time on the Canadian side of the river as the American. Also, whenever I came home on Leave while in the service almost always went to Toronto for a few days to PARTY!!! So because of that experience have nothing but the GREATEST respect for Canada and I'm an avid Tiger-Cat fan. Have basically traveled around the world while in and visited many countries except the one that I have always wanted to go to and that being the UK, love the ceremony and the Royal family. Know that you two were trying to have fun with me but it went right over my head, and I didn't catch it.

    A really great video thanks for sharing it. Given the number of musicians new to the Household Division this year due to the changes in Army music it's looking and sounding prettey good. Oh, and it's great to hear the Guards playing The Captain General too. Is this by way of a tribute to RM350 by any chance?

    • @kenUK762
      @kenUK762 10 років тому

      Probably yes. Hopefully Prince Philip ( The Captain General Royal Marines ) will be on parade this year to hear it played. Sometimes also, an appreciative nod is given to non-UK units the Guards have worked with on ops, esp. Afghanistan, hence the US Marine Corps March played in 2012.

      @FloofyMinari 7 років тому +11

      This might sound sexist, but I don't like seeing women in the military...at least not in ceremonial duties. Women are physically weaker than men and therefore makes the military look weak. You want to show off your strong military in ceremonies like the trooping the colour. Hell, even having short, overweight, or scrawny soldiers makes the military look weak. If you look at old trooping the colours, everyone is about the same height, all men, and they look really healthy.
