- Massed Bands of the Guards Division rehearsing for Trooping the Colour on Tuesday 13th June 2014, playing Nairac G.C.March, a commerative march written about Robert Nairac who was awarded the George Cross.
I hope and pray that the young Captain's remains will be found. If this ever happens and he is given a public ceremonial funeral I will go to England to see it. God Bless you Captain Nairac and thank you for your supreme sacrifice for the Ulster people.
So interesting to see the practice and all the hard-work that goes into the event.
Very impressive !! Good soldiers by any standards !!
great find

@@yh_l1556 I forgot to finish it lol 😆
trombones are the best instruments in the band!
It's on Saturday 14th June
I'm watching in speed 1.5, actually kinda funny seeing the trombone guys look, but the drum majors seem normal, and the base drum makes it sound like quick time lol
Nairac GC, written in honour of Captain Robert Nairac, GC. Abducted, tortured and murdered by the IRA in 1977. RIP Sir.
Senior Drum Major WO2 Scott Fitzgerald
Thanks for posting but why not include 'Nairac GC' in the heading!
Fantastic to watch. I'm wondering. The back row aren't carrting instruments. I'm assuming they are the pipers, or stand ins for the pipers who aren't there. Please enlighten me! 😊
They are carrying fifes
Oh aye! If course, Thank you Malcolm. Should have guessed 😀
Where can I get this slow March can somebody help me with this
Find it funny, you can tell the difference between actual squaddies and the band
What's the name of the last march
I believe it is the 'Coburger March' 12th Lancers and 11th Hussars March
What's the name of the first march? :-)
"Nairac G.C." March - judging by the text under the video.
