I absolutely love that we're in a world that brings comedians & doctors together in such a way that makes learning so much fun.
Haha, agreed.
A world of suffering excruciating pain from bones breaking?
So teachers should be comedians.
@@calholli following proto bud!
Shit made me feint
I wish the doctor had his own podcast, I’d listen to him talk about medicine all day
Same I also think Tom makes this a lot more enjoyable too though haha
Agree!
I think it's probably Tom Helping things along, but yeah, he can definitely roll with it.
Everyone has a podcast. There are way too many.
Yeah what a beautiful voice
This doc has a great personality. No wonder Tom had him on!
For real. He's funny and educative
@@FartinHolesInMyUndies he needs his own podcast
Don’t need a great personality to do a pod with Tom, you heard of 2 bears 1 cave?
@@ednamode2334 not a fan of that, it's too try hardy and extra.
Definitely want him as my doctor
Tom Segura, the man so unathletic he went for a layup and got in a car wreck
💀thank you I needed that laugh
Hey! He was about to tomahawk dunk that shit, if his body hadn't given up on him .

Tom's muscle enzymes are through the roof.
Maybe he runs marathons
Yeah, he's super strong.
There off the chart
He’s a cocaine addict guys
It's that Mickey Mantle gene.
I'm 90% sure this is the doctor that wrote, "...gay?" On Tom's medical records
😂🤣
he met the doctor when the injury happened, so no
Nah that was years ago, and Dr. Dick is just a regular physician, not a trauma surgeon. Wish I could meet that guy though, he sounds hilarious.
He probably didn't write it but he DEFINITELY saw it on Tommy's records
@@mixsah8392 Thanks, not.
Next episode when Bert is back he should have his cardiologist on and drink a 64oz kool aid in front of him
Not saying its necessarily healthy but please remember the worst part about kool aid is that it has metric tons of sugar in it. Bert drinks sugar free.
@@SUNIKIGAMING Stop enabling him
@@SUNIKIGAMING I believe he buys the sugar free to say he does, but there's no way bro koolaid without sugar is trash
@@SUNIKIGAMING he said it’s low calorie koolaid
@@Wnick56 Yeah. So it's still a poisonous amount of sugar. Even the sugar free is terrible for you because sugar alcohols still boost your insulin, but they don't give your body the sugar required for the insulin to process it. Diet Soda has similar negative effects. Best not to touch any of it more than once a week.
Massive respect to all Surgeons. The level of knowledge, skill, and decision these men possess is incredible

Tom's surgeon seems like he has an awesome personality, I loved how he was chill, laughing, and educational 😆
This is so cool man,...that you get to interview the doctor that fixed you up. Amazing. In addition to him being an obviously excellent surgeon/doctor, Milton has a great personality. Should have his own show.
This guy is awesome…It’s so hard to find a surgeon (of any kind) with personality. Great vid
looking at how much of a drag med school is i’m not surprised given they usually have to spend even longer than just that
i've never seen a body completely destroy itself like that before

If I get injured in LA, I’m definitely calling Dr. Milton Little. He has a great personality and explains procedures very well!
This was so good, hearing from your surgeon was fascinating.
Tom tripped on air and I wouldnt believe if I hadnt seen the video
He didn't trip on anything-- his leg fell apart. Its not like his foot slipped, his tendon slipped, literally right off the bone.
@@calholli lol I'm aware thats why I joked that he tripped on air because thats honestly what it sounds like when he describes it and its also what it looks like in the video
@@calholli why are you being so tiktok'd in all the comments bro?
This is the comment that made me laugh out loud like an idiot. Well played.
Sorry Tom but I'm so happy you got it on video..also happy you recoverd..still funny though
Yeah this is one of those weird things where the accident itself was unfortunate, but the fact that they had it filmed from multiple angles and then released the material is just so fortunate.
Tom made so many millions off of this crap. lol
Tom, This is one of the most fascinating episodes you have ever posted. I really enjoyed it
Most people would be embarrassed. Tom posts the video and had the doctor on. Love it.
If Tom can bench 315 and just lost the weight dude would be shredded , the muscles there just got to shred the rest my man 💪🏼
I luv how red Toms face got when confronted with the mysterious bench pressing lol
Tom seems like he has a good Dr.
The man has a name.. racist

If his Dr. was white would you have made this comment?🤔🤔🤔
@@chrism45 I'm not seeing anything wrong with what he said did he erase the comments you're talking about or something he must have
The thing that still stuns me about this is that Ive never seen someone hit the deck harder from so close to the ground. You could watch a tank shoot into the dirt right in front of it and it would have the same effect. The video showing Tom from his right side really hits the spot
What an excellent surgeon! Being able to have an intelligent conversation about medicine and not having it be boring as fuck is a talent in itself.
Dr. Little is the man, I really enjoyed hearing him explain what happened.
His doctor seems like a really cool, down-to-earth guy.
Words you never wanna hear from your doctor are, "Hmmm, never seen that before." 😆🤣😆
This is AWESOME on some many levels. Thanks Tom
"See how its all bright white? Thats just like, sadness." 🤣🤣🤣
This episode was amazing. Dr. Little's story is awesome
This was so fucking awesome to see. I've been a fan of Tom for a little over 3 years and I'm so happy to see him in his own lane giving us some of the funniest fucking laughs ever. People say comedy is dead... I'd argue that comedy has never been better.
Facts
It’s funny that while watching this a Kool-Aid ad was cut in.
Dude even hearing about it after the fact makes me cringe. I don't know how doctors do it I really don't.
Cause they are all slightly autistic and can block it out
I think most people in the medical field (myself included) think their job is fun so it doesn't really get to us.
I had brain surgery to get a tumour out about 18 months ago. After the surgery one of the surgeons explained to me what the tumour looked like, his vivid description really made me realise how much of a crazy mindset you have to have to be a surgeon or Dr, they deal with way worse shit than what I had all the time n the shit I had sounded fkn disgusting
@@vance9090 That has nothing to do with autism. It’s just being able to control yourself through training and experience. Personality is a factor but really it’s kinda like a fighter staying calm. You control the adrenaline dump and stay objective.
Trust me, seeing Tom's arm filleted open like a fish and putting a 14" plate in that arm looked a lot worse than the fall.
Tough stuff Tom. I had a patellar rupture from "old man basketball" and it was terrible,. so sorry you had three big fixes at once. Best of luck
I wish MY surgeon was like him. I never got a real idea of what was happening before and after my surgery out of bad communication. Having a surgeon like that who is so down to earth takes away so many worries and scares is uniquely important.
I'm almost 7 feet tall and my patella sits out of place at all times. I would love to be able to have that surgery where they re-attach the tendon, but I'll never be able to afford it. Great to see Tom getting fantastic medical care!
@Buddha 6'10" XD
This dude is so down to earth it’s awesome. Dealt with a lot of no good son of a bitch doctors in a my life so this is refreshing just a cool ass dude.
So cool that you brought your actual surgeon on the show
Such a wild injury lol. What's crazy to me is seeing the plates and screws actually inside and in use. I'm a machinist and make medical implants like these. Those screws look exactly what we make at my shop haha.
I love the ability of a truly brilliant comic or artist to take such a awful uncomfortable shitty experience and recognize it for the content that it is... Nothing but respect for this man once again
🔥🔥🔥🐐👑🐐🔥🔥🔥
Facts
This Surgeon has a great personality. He could write a great stand up or just have a UA-cam channel reviewing injuries or movie scenes or even a podcast. Guy is very charismatic. Way to show him some love and appreciation here Tom. There is a mutual respect for sure.
Or he could be a successful surgeon
@@ubertalldude I said he could not that he should. Big difference. Was just shouting out his personality and charisma. Do you think anyone would actually suggest that a very successful surgeon/ partner in a surgical practice should start doing open mic nights. He worked hard to earn the ability to do whatever he wants.
Yeaaa I’m going to need more of this guy for the foreseeable future. I’ve never met a doctor who can explain medicine the way he does and actually have a sense of humor. Doctors spend so much time learning the usually lose all social skills. This guy man, I almost want to break my patella just to run into him in dilauded
We need this guy back fucking hilarious😂😂
Its fun to see this video now that my dad had a fall off a ladder on Saturday 22/5/2021 (AEST). 8 ribs fractured (3 through 10), left scapula fractured , and T10 vertebrae fractured and a hemopneumothorax later. I can only thank all the nurses and doctors across all the ward and specialties to get my dad back in shape enough that he can breath and talk without being in agony. Crazy how easily humans can break
Tim's face getting red when Doc says ok Mr Benchpress 350. Gold.
I have a metal plate "door hinge" on my elbow, the thing about leaning the wrong way is absolutely true. But I'm not willing to lose more months to healing again after getting it taken out
The fact that some members of society can do stuff like this is legitimately bonkers.
Bring back these Tom Talks series. Tom has an impeccable for interviewing. He can be both joking and very serious at the same time. Bring more intellectuals on, and he'll ask very strong and insightful questions. Do it tom. Do it !!!
I could listen to this doc any day of the week. Tom crumble again and get us another pod
"Until I got dilaudid. That shit is nice."
He is not wrong about that. I had major medical issues back in the day and was given various pain meds during that time. There was nothing better than IV dilaudid.
Really enjoyed Dr. Little. Great guy and excellent doctor. Very cool that Tom had him on.
The MRI literally saying "it tore here"
"Well, Good Sir! I wasn't expecting that!"
Surgeons really are a different breed.
This was awesome, thanks for the insight and sharing, fellas!!!
We need a Tom Talks with Dr. Dick next!
You need to make a series with this dude! He is amazing.
As if it wasn't bad enough. Listening to Dr. Little's breakdown of the injury and how he fixed it is insane! Tommy it's like your body self destructed!
I have to say--- That large of a plate and that big of a scar was definitely not the best way to do this. There are Dr's out there that could have done this through 3 little 1/2 inch incisions and not had to be so invasive. There are levels to the surgery game and nothing regulates any of it either. You really have to research your surgeons and find the best guy for what you want--- otherwise you get gutted like this... Its mostly because this dr is so young, but as he gets a lot older, he will have refined his work into "doing no harm" as they are supposed to.. My ex was a scrub tech for years, in the room everyday doing surguries with many different dr's and she had to learn everyone's different way of doing things--- and like I said, some are very good and do unbelivable things--- and others gut you and end up making mistakes and cut the wrong things and spend 3 extra hours on you fixing their mess up and you never even know about it... There's a secret world going on in that surgery room and its pretty crazy to hear the stories everyday that come out of them. So many wild things happened on a regular basis, it makes me not ever want to get cut on if I don't have to... Unless you REALLY know that surgeon.
@@calholli 1-2 inch incision to fix a humerus snapped in 2 and take out micro fragments of bone on a dude that weighs over 220lbs? Yeah I ain't buying anything you say unless you're a doctor.
I knew coming into this I would wince. The whole thing has been so hard to watch. I love that Tom has handled it pretty much exactly as I would’ve expected and turned it into comedy and entertainment
Love this doc. Such a character
I want to be a doctor now. Time to get back to the grind.
Wish you well on your journey!
Some dude out there like “my fucking doctor rescheduled my appointment for this shit!?” 😂😂😂😂
Thank God for doctors.
This was super fucking informative, I really enjoyed him being interviewed!
Tom should be a salesmen for Dilaudid he makes me want to try it instantly
Fentanyl feels even crazier
To think that stuff was legal to buy back in the day
Its' just another opioid.. Heroin, Oxyconton, Morphine, demerol, dilaudid, fentanyl, ect.ect... Its all the same, just different concentrations and different dosages.
@@calholli it’s not all the same are you kidding
@@mitchellbowman22 it absolutely is. They are all opiates. Some are just strong then others. Dilaudin is actually weak as hell. Fentanly. Oxycodone. Are way stronger and feel better. I know from experience. 3 years clean now
Tom has to be able to thumbs up when people get hurt in videos...you’re a hero doc
Did the same thing to my biceps tendon - blew up like a firecracker. Dr. hadn’t ever seen it in 15 yrs.

Tom, welcome to world of becoming a cyborg. Lol! I have a bunch of metal in my back. I will take having the metal in there as opposed to the pain I had before all the surgeries any day! What surgeons can do is amazing!
Thank God for smart doctors 💗🙏
Thee coolest Doctor/surgeon ever. A star in the making 🌏❤☘
Tore my patella tendon 4 weeks ago dunking (10 foot hoop) horrible injury. Recovery process sucks more than any sports injury I’ve heard of. The idea of breaking your arm on top of that, is crazy. I had the 3 suture technique, doc said you need to generate 17x body weight in force production to tear a healthy patella ligament. Tom segura is a force! So glad i can laugh at this while immobilized.
This guy's a true water champ, won't let that bottle down for a second. Also I've seen a couple of these surgeries when I shadowed an orthopedic surgeon and it's way chiller than it sounds and looks. They put on their music and just slide put everything back, get the plate in and it's done.
God bless you Milton. getting my boy who broke his body in half all fixed up.
Great Doctor!
7:55 OMG the Doc had me in stitches, pardon the pun.
I love toms reactions when he explains what he did to his knee. “Ohh 😳”
Awesome doc!
if i had a dr to chose from this would be the man
Toms doctor is awesome!
I've seen the video of the injury twice. I can't watch it again. I still don't understand what exactly happened, and now I am afraid of life.
When he planted his foot to go up for the dunk his patellar tendon tore and then when he tried to brace himself his arm went behind his back
this doctor is very intelligent, both socially and analytically
Good doctor doing amazing work.
