    BBT tracking is so hard with insomnia 😣 sometimes i wake up at 5 am and cannot go back to sleep! but i normally take my temp at 7am (my normal wake up time). i always log the temp from exactly when i wake up (even if it’s 5am). I’ve checked it again later at 7 (in the days i wake up ealry) and it’s always higher.

      Yes, it coud be challenging to monitor BBT in such cases. Besids BBT, you can try ovulation tests and also check cervical mucus. These are good supplenmentaries.

    So is bbt only to find out when we ovulate? And to confirm ovulation?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  2 роки тому +2

      Hello Jacqueline M! Yes, and BBT can also be an indicator of early pregnancy as it will remain high due to Progesterone during early preganncy. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

    My bbt dropped at 1 and 2 dpo, is that an indicator I didn't ovulate or maybe an indicator that my egg wasn't fertilized? It did increase this morning to 36.44 degrees Celsius which I'm hoping is a good sign!

      Hello there, A drop in basal BBT at 1-2 days past ovulation isn't definitive proof of no ovulation, but it could suggest it. An increase in BBT afterward is a positive sign but doesn't guarantee successful fertilization. Keep monitoring and consider consulting a healthcare provider for personalized guidance. Baby dust to you!

    One very very important question..
    If BBT increases with passing hours of the day , then someone charting at 5 am seem to have hypothyroid condition as compared to someone taking it at 9am ..
    How would one distinguish between hypothyroid condition and early temps ??

    thank you I also wanted to know I usually take my bbt at 5am but there's some time I wake up at 4:30am and I can't go back to sleep. Should I just take my temperature if I wake up 30mins earlier? I also don't sit up. Will that be okay??

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  2 роки тому

      Usually, we would recommend temping BBT at the same time for consistency, but having at least uninterruped sleeping is more important for the accuracy, thus please just take your temperature if you happen to wake up 30 minutes ealier. Try not to stress yourself too much when temping. Sometimes, the more you think about it, the more pressure you will feel. We all know it is hard to follow "the rule", take your time and try to put you at the most ease.

    Amazing info ..
    What if I daily take my BBT at 7 but I woke up at 5:30 or 6:00 then what should I do ?
    Should I stay in the bed ? Or use toilet and come back into the bed ?
    When should I take the BBT?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  2 роки тому +2

      If you can, I would try to stay in bed and go back to sleep so you can stick to the 7am time. Otherwise I would use the earlier temp, but just make a note that you temped at an earlier time, in case your temp is off, so you know why.

    i have the easy home model number BT-A31 thermometer how can i reset the easy home BT-A31 thermometer cause i have 30 measurements in the thermometer and alot of them are measurements i didnt measured

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  Рік тому

      Hi there. Just a quick heads up - the EBT-300 (BT-A31) thermometer doesn't have a reset function. It could store up to 30 measurements. Once the storage is full, the thermometer will automatically delete the oldest measurement to make room for new ones. To prevent any loss of your basal body temperature (BBT) data, we recommend syncing your thermometer with our app immediately after each measurement. This will ensure that your data is always up to date and you won't miss any important information. Leyla Premom Support Team

      @@premomfertility thanks for the quick response the thermometer is synced with your great app. My additional question is if I have measured my temperature at a fixed time as I do, is it usual that when it comes to the app that there are also other times in between. i mean i measure my temperature at 07:00 my thermometer has bluetooth so it synced to the app. when I go to BBT in the app to see everything, I also see 00:00 17:00 while I don't measure my temperature at those times, is that supposed to be?

    Hi .thanks for the wonderful discussion. My question is: my wife 2 months ago followed wrong procedure to take BBT (i.e by going out of bed after waking up, drinking, moving etc). Now the app reads this data history and predicts BBT and baseline temperature for ever new cycle. Could this erroneous data be deleted from the app? or should she keep temping hereafter as now she learned correct way to take BBT. Thanks.

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Rahul! Thank you for your comment. You can delete the BBT data from the Premom app, simply tap "BBT" on the Cahrts page and then swip left on the BBT test data to delete it. Since you learned correct way to take BBT, I would recommend your wife take BBT next cycle following the correct instructions. Hope this helps. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via the Support tab in the premom app.

    I work Night Shift 3 days out of the week. What time should I take my bbt when I’m back from work ??

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Stephanie, if you work night shifts, please kindly know that DO get at least 3 hours of sleep before you take your temperature. This allows your body to fully rest and get an accurate reading.

    Ok. Question. I have anemia. And my temps run low. So does that affect in any way for charting?? I had a leak but the temp was regular.

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  3 роки тому +1

      As long as you are taking your temperature at rest (immediately when waking), you should still see a clear shift in your BBT after ovulating at least .5 degrees. Your normal may be different than someone else's normal. If your temp drops below 95 degrees, you need to see a doctor. If you have further questions, I encourage you to use our #AskanExpert feature in our in-app community. Your question will be answered by our fertility experts. This is currently a limited-time offer!

      Can someone please answer this question for me? If your average wake time is extremely early like 5am, would your temps then average lower than someone who consistently wakes up at 9 am? I ask because a lot of docs claim if your temps average in the lower range it can indicate low thyroid hormone. So the real question is how can that be if the cause for the lower temps could actually be based on the average wake time? I tested it out. I take my temp at 5 am on Saturdays even if Im not actually getting up at that time. So I take it again at 9 just to see a difference. At 5 it was 98.0 and at 9 it was 98.3 in the luteal phase. Please explain if you can.

    When I see the bbt high can I try to get pregnant or is to late?

    • @premomfertility
      @premomfertility  Рік тому +1

      In general, the best time to try to conceive is during your fertile window, which is typically 5 days leading up to ovulation and ovulation day. The bbt increase is what we are looking for to confirm ovulation. After ovulation, the conception chances are usually not too high, but it also varies from person to person.
