Moved to Littlerock 1990 right down below and it's like having my own personal mountain range of fun. Owning 3 BMW motorcycles no need to ever move lol STARTED RIDING UP HERE IN 1965 AND STILL LOVIN IT!
James and I have been riding up to Newcomb's since 1999. That is the year I got my motorcycle license.James taught me to ride the Crest. We love Freddie, Newcomb's and all of the like-minded people we meet at Newcombs Ranch. Highway 2 and Angeles Forest are world class rides. We are all so fortunate to have this Jewel of a ride and Newcomb's in our backyards.
I've lived in Los Angeles 30 years of life and never got to drive up here until last year awesome drive. But unfortunately my car broke down. Once I get my classic car restored I'll be heading back there again to build more memories and some day also ring my future child with me.👍🏻🥂
Angeles Crest Highway up to Newcombs Ranch and beyond all the way to the 15 is by far the best road I have ever ridden in my 30 years of riding motorcycles. It's a riders dream come true. I have now been living in Iowa for 15 years and I tell my Iowa buddies who ride about the road and Sunday mornings at Newcombs. I hope to someday get back for one more ride before my time ends. If you have never ridden the road, do it! And stop by Newcombs for a meal and the cool people!
I moved to Georgia 2 years ago. Honestly The thing I miss most is highway 2. I miss Freddy and the gang, so nice to se this. Can"t believe I'm only seeing it now
Sadly, Newcomb's is closed now. Covid wiped them out. I hope they are able to re-open as I have been going there for darn near 50 years. It is truly an ICON in So. Cal.
Thank you! Great video! But the cheap amateur shaky camera technique destroys the vibe. Should have used a Steady-cam or a smooth panning, dolly, track shots. Or if low budget, do it in post.

Excellent! Newcomb's Ranch The 11th settler up in the mountains in Big Pines California. 1980 for me. Beautiful.

We love Newcombs Ranch.
I heard recently that they are closing, such a shame
Fun to hear the back story . . .
I love this Place
I rode my Yamaha RZ500 to Newcombs in 1990.
I have been there so many times...

It’s ALL charred and burnt to the stumps now after the fire! It was sad to see. Newcomb’s is there, but the scenery is gone. So much burnt!
Plot twist, everything grew back... 😎
You cant go slow and enjoy the scenery because you have people yelling at you to move over every turn 🤔
