I think this is the first time I've ever made a geographic video about a single weapon before. If you haven't tried already, I highly recommend using this thing for a little bit with PS12B. Its genuinely a hilarious experience. It may cost you a lot though so proceed with caution. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.

There is little more terrifying than hearing the fucking BOOM of an RSH in factory and instantly having to wonder if it's a fledgling RSH'er who'll black and arm and mulch my hp with one shot, or an experienced, sadistic one that'll turn my torso into an open-space art deco.

six bullets is most of time is only enough to dmg armor and blackout arm or leg but wont actuall kill anything not even unarmored scavs...

there's a couple varieties of RSH cowboys. the kind that puts sights and lasers on it, and the kind that uses it like God intended- naked.

Keeping on theme with cowboys, they should add the model 1895 to the ecosystem. Seeing how the mosin is there it would make sense to see another ww1 era firearm. Heck they wouldn’t even have to add another round for the gun, since it’s chambered in 7.62x54 mmR. The cowboys would become more of a prevalent species in the lands of tarkov.
and maybe a 357 lever gun that could be justified by the same usecs that brought the rhinos to tarkov

@@yopot285 In WW1, the Russian Empire couldn't get enough mosins, so they bought Winchester 1895s chambered in 7.62x54R with a stripper clip guide so they could use the same ammo and clips as mosins (stripper clips, so an actual clip and not mag). The 1895 is basically the final lever gun and switched away from a tube mag inn favor of a box mag for use with pointed bullets that could theoretically detonate when packed tip to primer.
Since this rifle was made for the Russian Empire (pre-Soviet), it was shipped in large quantity to Russia and many still exist there today.
TL;DR: Russia had a lever gun in WW1 chambered for the Mosin round.
RSh-12 Users are proud creature. They prefer to hunt alone.

i took a razer rsh into factory with a gzhel and an lshz, instantly got a 50m shot on some dude down glass hall way, got tagilla in the back of the head, then met a little ump fella who couldnt do anything about my lvl 4 face.

I jaw-shot a pmc on woods near usec roadblock with my VPO215 today, when investigating I found he had a lvl 5 vest, lvl4 helmet and an rsh with a 4x and laser. I realise now how insanely lucky I was to be able to catch them in a rare moment of standing still, as if I had missed or taken the shot when he was moving, I'm fairly sure he would have sprinted at me and evacuated my brainpan

Early on this wipe - like 3 raids in - I found 60 rounds of ps12b, I knew for the next week id be grinding to lv15 purely to get my hands on an rsh12
I just wish it would get a suppressor. One of the distinct features of the RSH is that, like the Nagant revolver, the cylinder moves forward to seal against the barrel, which was deliberately chosen so it could be suppressed. 12.7x55 is a subsonic round, so with its supressor and stock added, it's intended use is as a sentry removal carbine that's small enough to be carried in addition to a rifle that's more practical at range such as an AK, unlike the VSS which, while compact, is still as large as some rifles and can be cumbersome to carry with another rifle.
410 would be such a good round to add to the game

Its a giant caliber that hits like a nuclear freight train even on high-tier armored enemies. Hit someone once and odds are thats the end of the raid for them

Any tips for us filthy casuals? Find it really frustrating questing or trying to build some bank and just ending up fights I have no chance of winning unless the dude's internet just drops.

Tales told here seem to suggest it has the same foreboding roar of an apex predator like the Mjolnir. Only this time instead of a quick death from a second shot at long range, one should expect a few more moments of terror as a RSh-12 stalks their prey with a mad dash at closer range before that second shot cracks.

AR Stereotypes:
- short pdw builder, builds for fun of building, not so great recoil spending way too much rubles on overpriced fancy looking atachments
direct opposite
- meta builder, always long and unwieldy guns, best recoil, never uses anything els then the RK2 foregrip
- the fancy builder, doesnt care about anything but looks, builds are surprisingly still somewhat usable
- the MCX user in general (feeling somewhat special cause hes not using 556)
- the DMR builder, longest available barrel, 10rd mags, high mag scope, uses warmage ammo for the extra accuracy
- the Mutant user, gateway drug to the AK user

Nah PS-12B was always really good, used to use it all the time before the revolver was added.

AK-12: The Zoomer AK, while not quite as cursed as the M45, this weapon is a bit unnerving in a way I find hard to truly understand. Still, it's kinda cool, bit expensive though. Why not just use an AK-74 that does the same thing?
AK-101/102: I'm with you on this one, at first they seemed kind of cursed but they actually end up doing well. Suppose there's something to be said about defying expectations. Good luck competing with AR-platform users for the ammo, it's gonna be pricy.
AK-103/104: The ammo's low-cost and punchy, and they retain the lovely modability of the AK-74, what a great set of weapons, really.
AK-105: While I hold an irrational attachment to this gun, I do kinda lament that it's statistically just a worse AK-74M. Still, two blocks smaller in the Inventory, good for playing Tetris.
AK-74: While slightly inferior to the AK-74M, it's stock wooden furniture makes it pretty attractive to the classic AK "Nyet, Rifle is fine!" crowd. This is somebody who appreciates the AK platform but honestly can't be bothered to mod their gun.
AK-74M: Now here's somebody who CAN be bothered to mod their gun. It's slight improvements over the stock 74 are barely noticeable, but still appreciated. Also, the stock can fold, that's pretty handy!
AK-74N: Honestly you'd be better off with the stock 74, the night-vision scope is TERRIBLE. Still, one of my friends likes to build one of these are an ultra-compact rat blaster with that scope that he takes onto night raids with a single mag of BS and tries to bushwack chads, so it does have a small, surprisingly loyal userbase.
AKM/AKMN: Same deal with the "N" variant, but this weapon's a great early-wipe blaster with it's cheap, powerful ammo and decent modability. A cold war classic and a well-respected weapon for a reason. It's also about as close to a true "AK-47" as you can get, so there's also that.
AKMS/AKMSN: The same as the AKM but with a folding stock. Tetris player? I don't know, I prefer the fixed stock tbh with it's better recoil.
AKS-74/AKS-74N: Basically the same deal as the AKMS, but now you're firing 5.45x39. I don't really have much to say, fairly unremarkable, but functional.
AKS-74U series: Early-wipe blasters. Functional, affordable, pretty nice. Even late-wipe they're a decent budget pick. Good gun.
AS-VAL- Battlestate please revert this thing. Yeah, everyone used it, but that's because the maps of Tarkov, combined with the litany of armored targets, mean that this gun was practically DESIGNED for Tarkov. It's meant to be good! It's rare IRL sure but we have shit like the Mjolnir, TX-15, and G28. Please let us have this.
ASh-12: Glukhar can go to hell, but this round is punchy as hell and deserves respect. Never gotten to use it but really want to.
The AUG series: The best bullpups in the world, users of the A1 will probably keep the stock scope in stark defiance of the fact that it's not very good. A futuristic cold war classic, beware the militarized astronaut.
MDR 5.56: You're a USEC starting off or a USEC who can't be asked to mod their weapon beyond the foregrip and scope. It's a respectable pick for just about anybody.
MDR 7.62: You're a Chad who wants their TTK to be measured in milliseconds. Probably steer clear of these guys, I rarely see them but when I do I usually eat shit and die.
HK 416: Basically an M4 with a faster RoF and worse recoil, but more importantly it's an HK product so MEIN GERMAN ENGINEERING YA HANS FETCH ZE SCHNIZEL. (I'm not funny I know)
HK G36: Honestly slept on, I've had one of these for a million years and never died with it. Not sure if I just got a blessed weapon or if I'm just a lucky SoB but hey, I like it. Same German Engineering stereotype. Stock sight's not great but Cold War enthusiasts will keep it out of solidarity.
M4A1: Consistency if it were a gun personified. Hard to really go wrong with this thing. Either you're keeping it stock and UN larping, putting a suppressor and scope on the carryhandle and Gary Gordon larping (CAR-15 please Battlestate) or you're spending 600k roubles to try and get the META gun, in stark defiance of vastly cheaper and frankly superior alternatives.
MCX: The western world's VAL. Very moddable, but the late unlock ammo and it's comperable stats to 5.56 mean that this really is just a gun for subsonic enthusiasts.
MK-47: The former META weapon, largely ignored because it has been supplanted by the...
RD-704: Every Chad's favorite, and everybody else's source of frustration. These are the Labs-running gigachads who enjoy counting recoil stats and are Battlestate's primary demographic. Red Bull's primary customers.
SA-58: Love me SLR, hate Argies, hate NVA (not racist just don't like 'em) and a favorite of the actually kinda racist Rhodieboos who can't accept the fact that bushstroke just doesn't look good. A personal favorite of mine, but can Battlestate hurry the fuck up and add wooden furniture for this beauty? A formerly meta gun that still sees some use because it's a full-auto 7.62x51mm gun that can equip 50 round mags, so chads like it.
SCAR-H: A dependable, weirdly underused pick. In general I see the SCAR slept on in lots of video games, and so I'm forced to question why? Also why do all of these that I find on people not have the cheekrest? It's cheap AF and available early on. Do people just not notice that it's gone?
SCAR-L: Basically the same thing, but with worse ammo. You probably found this in an Airdrop and were hoping for something a bit more exotic.
That's all I wrote, sorry for complaining about the distinction between carbines and SMGs in my other comment. I concede that was a fairly stupid and asinine thing for me to do.
