Here are my reactions to episode 5 of Roze of the Recapture.
This episode is much better than 4 but still has its own fair share of issues.
Let me know your thoughts of this episode.
Btw I was wrong Cornelia apologized to Darlton not the other way around.
One problem I have with Neo-Britannia is how their pride, smugness and arrogance feels unearned compared to the original Britannia, especially because Neo-Britannia seems even more arrogant than the original. In the original Anime, Brittania at least controlled all of Japan, along with one third of the world. They were the worlds superpower. In Roze on the other hand Neo-Britannia only controls Hokkaido, and only because they hide behind their energy plot armor wall. They cannot take on the UFN, yet they act as smug as if they controlled most of the world.
Not to mention that some of the greatest devicers of the world, Kallen and Suzaku, are known to be japanese, yet they the green haired Einberg acts worse than Jeremiah did in the first episode.
This level of arrogance simply feels unearned, if not delusional, especially compared to the orginal Anime.
Episode 5 of Rozé of Recapture feels like an insult to Battle of Mt Fuji and Zero Requiem, especially the Damocles.
Amazes me that our reactions had some similarities

9:00 I do like how they mention Norlad gave orders to kill anyone that won't obey orders because we know he's doing to because of geass so it's hinting towards the fact that Norlad knows about the power of geass and might even have it himself.
I change my mind, Narah is the best character. Feels fresh having a Neo-Britannian with morality instead of the typical "ahg, an Eleven, kill him" stereotypes. She feels fresher and makes the character more unique. Specially since she has a past with Ash. I hope she survives.
There were total of 3 warheads according to Ninas inventory records. Therefore, the one that was fired towards the damocles is the third warhead.
I highly suggest you watch the dubbed version so you could understand better. You have lots of question that already mentioned in the episode.

Narah saved this episode for me. Good to see at least one of the Neo-britannian characters be a bit more sympathetic.

It will never be as good as the original, but that is fine. The battle scenes in this episode was sick though!
To be fair, it doesn't have to be as good as the original. In my opinion, It just needs to be coherent and consistent, which unfortunately, as of now, Roze is not doing so well at that, but I'm willing to see where it goes.
Roze's group didn't express any fear when facing THE Damocles. I feel like they really nerfed it so much.
So i assume what the intent was with the attack from damo was to draw the attention of the ground resistance, like a lure so narah can drop on them. Would also have them waste ammo trying to dent damocles. Could also be a case of beliving the position of blind arrogance. Also the neo brits woudnt think the small resistances world even have a fleija eliminator. Most likely believing they arnt able to create one or be supplied one.
I also assume they only had just 3 or so warheads. So why would they have give the warheads to kmfs, launchers when the safer option is damocles, baring the sudden plan to drop damocles.
As for ortiga, could be it's the intial designs meant to test how long it can stay online with the wall being a drain.
The whole point of the ghetto was to purposefully lure the resistance force that have been having any success against them in one place, as they certainly would react to innocent people soon to be blown up.

They are literally making an Avengers: Endgame. Everyone is coming back. Leila, Oldrin, Orpheus, Marrybell (?) and Gino. That Orpheus and apparently Marrybell are still alive gives me some hope that Monica is too.

The Hokkaido block of Japan is massive and probably has enough resources for all 5 millions inhabitants.
That being said eventually they would run out of resources if the BK put a blockade on the area.

I mean does it have it be? The original series is always going to be the best. But this series can just be good but not better than the original. And that’s okay. It doesn’t have to be. You can enjoy for what it is or you don’t.

I like the akatsuki and all, but i feel like they should really replace that soon and not just upgrade it.

You’re not enjoying the series . You don’t have to force yourself really. That’s the thing with modern sequels and spin-offs. They don’t meet the same expectations that people had for the originals. The writing may not be as good as the original. But it is what it is. It’s your choice to watch them or not.

Yeah was a better episode it just doesn't really answer the why. I was so so confused when the empress was saying what would the world think of our actions to Norland. Why would that matter to him and who is working with neo britiannian.
I feel there is the big reveal coming of Norland and what he his master plan is. It seems he is in this vaccumm where his actions are so weird that it seems so strange, like with narah questioning things. But just doesn't make sense why Norland is doing this. Hope more episodes will explain further.
What Norland is doing is not that different from what the Britainnian Empire had done in the past. And their actions were just as senseless. So far the mystery is Norland’s endgame. Let’s just wait and see.
@@KapayaSiame I guess. But they wasted all three of their fleija warhards to destroy their own Damocles. I just don't see the logic in that. If they were going to destroy a ghetto they should have done it like britiannian of old and send a whole army to wipe out the ghetto. Using a fleija and Damocles is overkill and unnecessary unless Norland wanted to get rid of them for some reason
But yeah we will see what Norlands endgame is.
@@Bluerocket94 yeah even Christoph didn’t understand why Norland gave that order. Perhaps he did do it to lure them . After all he sent a peace envoy back in body bags. I’m curious about his motivations.
Question: so is this a direct sequel to R2 or is this a sequel the alternate time line thing I keep hearing about? I didn't even know it was alternate time line. I guess it's not clear to me in the show. Just word of mouth
It's the AU timeline where Resurrection takes place. R2 has no sequels and was tied up with a neat, clean bow.
It is a sequel to Re;surrection which is part of the AU timeline not a sequel to R2.
