- A long drive turned into an eventful weekend in central Texas! The country was beautiful in this area and the sights to see seemed endless. Highly recommend traveling to Canyon Lake and the surrounding "night sky" towns.

So all of this is around ramp 23? We have the same kayaks....but haven't launched in that area yet. Did you drive off the ramp to the left and all the way down to the water?
Correct. Drove down to the waters edge and put in there. I stayed on the northern banks almost all the way to the mouth of the river. And if you have a navionics app there’s a structure called the “Dinner Plate” I fished around there too.
Where did you put in? Making a trip soon and would appreciate some advice. Thanks!
I put in at Boat Ramp 23 which is on the northern side. The lake was super low according to some people I met out there. There’s a trail next to the ramp that you can drive down to put in at the waters edge and then park back in the parking lot. I stayed closer to the banks in the flooded trees and grass bed areas.
