This Shimano Bantam 100EX reel belongs to a friend's father. He was given this reel from his father many years ago. Since then it was used regularly. Eventually a piece on the reel broke and it was stuck on a shelf. Until Now! Now we found the parts needed and gave this old reel some much needed care and attention in order to bring it back to life!

So all of this is around ramp 23? We have the same kayaks....but haven't launched in that area yet. Did you drive off the ramp to the left and all the way down to the water?
Correct. Drove down to the waters edge and put in there. I stayed on the northern banks almost all the way to the mouth of the river. And if you have a navionics app there’s a structure called the “Dinner Plate” I fished around there too.
What is the best type of lure for bass in that lake I’ve used every single thing I have and cannot catch a thing
Throw a Texas rig in the bushes, you’ll get bit.

I put in at Boat Ramp 23 which is on the northern side. The lake was super low according to some people I met out there. There’s a trail next to the ramp that you can drive down to put in at the waters edge and then park back in the parking lot. I stayed closer to the banks in the flooded trees and grass bed areas. Good luck!

Always try our best, we definitely care about fish conservation. Just had a bad day with the boat flips, which is why I called myself out in the video

I found an old reel someone was selling for parts and it had it on there. I couldn’t find the switch anywhere else. It was way more expensive than just buying the switch alone but I had extra parts if I needed them.

Great classic reel. I have always loved the old school Lews Shimano reels and these early actual Bantams! One quick video hint: either use a white repair tray or increase your work area's lighting ...Now let's get Whiskey bent and Smallmouth bound!
Have a 1500lc. When i took it apart and reassembled it, the push button is stuck. Loosen up the SMALL screws just a touch and the button works. Any ideas?

Any boat with the proper rigging of the Humminbirds and Minn Kota products can do the same

I fish PAC but ive never launched at the WMA. Im assuming the marsh you were in is to the east of that launch? Is there a cut to get into that marsh? I always drive past all that and launch down by the marina at the end of the road. Looks like you had a great day there!

Will this boat fit in a standard garage opening without having to lower the raptors to put it inside? I have the same boat and was considering getting some raptors for it. When it came with the power pole it would not fit in my garage with the pole up. Also on a side note. I would recommend swapping out the cooler lid for the FXR version. I did that and was very happy with the swap.
Raptors have to be lowered, they sit at the same height as power poles
What lake was this?
Not a big fan of the "Team deck" but beyond that the ZXR is absolutely the best bang for the buck boat on the market. Before all the bullshit, $60k would get you a pretty well outfitted 20ft boat with a 250 and that's an insanely good deal these days. Love these boats and I wish I could've found one when I was in the market. Ended up with a Triton and I love it but man this was at the top of my list.
I do agree to an extent and I’m glad to see that the new ZXR comes with a standard deck layout. But this boat was definitely the best boat for the money by far in my opinion. With that being said, I have a respect for the things I buy and I’ve learned to love the team deck layout and make the most out of it despite it being untraditional.

I launched from the WMA dock that’s just south of the game warden’s camp and just hit the first open section of marsh I came to.
Forgot the throats. I thought that was a huge thing there?
Do you have the 4 or 6” bracket for the raptors? I got a 2009 zx200 and want to get raptors. Just not sure on what size bracket to get
