He got sent to that universe because that's where the spider that bit him was from! The send-home device read the spider's DNA that had given Miles his powers. That spider was supposed to bite someone (probably Miles) on earth 42. Instead it got brought to our Miles' earth by the super collider and bit him instead. So there's no Spiderman on earth 42 which is why it looked like crime was running rampant through the streets in that universe.
He was supposed to bite miles. Where the spot is going over his back story, you can see the spider walking towards that miles before being teleported

If you rewatch the scene where spot is going over his back story, you can see the spider walking towards Earth-42 Miles with the braids before being teleported. Think of the spider as a canon event, where that spider is destined to bite "Miles Morales." The spider gets teleported and goes on to bite Miles Morales, but from Earth-1610. Meaning Earth-42 has no Spiderman, which is why it the Sinister Six Cartel took over. And Earth 1610 has 2 spidermen. There is only supposed to be 1 spiderman in each universe, so the universe killed off 1 of them in 1610.

33:24 Actually, no. Miguel states that a police captain close to Spider-Man dies. In Andrew's it was his girlfriend's dad, Cap Stacy. In Pavitr's it was his girlfriend Gayatri's father, Insp. Singh. It is also implied that Peter B also lost a Cap Stacy.
It's not "everyone's dad". Only happens to be this Gwen and Miles' dads. The captain can't always be Gwen's dad because in a multiverse, there's millions of universes where Captain Stacy doesn't exist
Plus in her comics, her dad is still alive.

In into the spiderverse, Peter would have had time to destroy the collider but because he stopped to save miles and had the exchange with him about training him, it gave enough time for prowler to get there and stop him.

I was a bit apprehensive when I first saw the trailer for portraying Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 in an antagonistic way because Miguel is a far cry from a villain and he's also my all-time favourite Spider-Man in the comics but the movie did an amazing job for portraying him not as the villain but more like an opposing force. Also just to clarify, he is not part vampire. That was just a joke they made in the movie becuse he has fangs which can secrete paralyzing venom.
Miguel is an antagonist, not a villain. There's a difference.

Something in Miguel’s backstory isn’t adding up. In the third movie, we may be seeing another Miguel returning, to stop this one.
Miguel got his powers differently than the other spider people, instead of getting bit by a spider his DNA was infused with a spider. So he has fangs and instead of spider sense his normal senses are greatly enhanced. He also doesn’t have sticky hands or whatever instead he grew claws so he has to cling to stuff when climbing.
To add to this, in the comics, Miguel gains his powers as a result of trying to cure himself of his addiction to an Alchemax-created drug called Rapture. He was spiked with it by a rival scientist to keep Miguel working for the company, because Miguel had threatened to leave since he disagreed with Alchemax testing DNA splicing on human subjects. Only Alchemax had a supply of Rapture to keep Miguel from cold turkey, so he was forced to stay working there.
Miguel's attempt to cure his Rapture addiction involved splicing his own DNA, but this was also sabotaged and, as you say, his DNA was left 50% spider.
In the comics, this succeeds in curing Miguel of his addiction. However, in ATSV, we see him injecting himself with what appears to be spider DNA. This implies that he needs to keep doing so in order maintain his powers, and could therefore play a big role in Beyond the Spider-Verse since it represents a notable weakness for Miguel.

The machine that sent Miles to Earth 42 thought Miles was FROM Earth 42. It scanned the spider DNA in Miles' system and assumed that he is from the same place because theres no other Variant of Spider-Man that has ever been bitten by a spider from a completely different universe... Until now.
The spider that bit Miles was transported from Earth 42 by the Spot (before he became the Spot) and sent to Earth 1610, where Miles and the Spot are from. That's why he ended up in the wrong universe at the end of the movie.
9:59 This is Mrs. Chen from the first Venom movie who Eddie saw being robbed near the start of the film and then again when Eddie and Venom came together ending with "We are Venom" and eating the head of the robber. So now we know that Earth-688 is the universe of Venom movies along with Morbius and the up in coming Kraven the Hunter film. I think Sony is creating their own little connected universe of Spider-Man villains and Anti Hero's but before introducing Spider-Man? Little odd, would be like DC creating a bunch of movies on Batman villains but not including any nods to Batman or the character himself.

Fun Fact: Hobie Brown's, AKA Spider Punk's, animation seems random and chaotic, but if you pay attention, there's a pattern. For example whenever he's interacting with someone he really cares about, like Gwen, Mayday, or even Miles, he turns pink!!!

Miles got sent to Earth 42 instead of Earth 1610 (his actual home) because the Spider that but him was from Earth 42 and the Spiderbite merges one's dna with its so the machine detected the Earth 42 dna of the spider

This is, without a doubt, the best animated movie of all time. And seeing it in IMAX on the opening weekend in theatres is still a very memorable and unforgettable experience I’ve had since Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse.
I saw it IMAX on opening night dressed as Miles! My heart was so full when I saw my favorite cameos too.

Part 2 will be called Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-verse. It currently doesn't have a set release date - it was supposed to come out next year, but it has been taken off of Sony's schedule and there's evidence that it's not finished enough to make that date, and the strike hasn't helped. So we may have to wait until 2025 or even 2026 for that cliffhanger to be resolved.
Canon events reference events that have happened to Peter (and other Spider-People) in various continuities. Saving a child from falling debris is how Gwen's father died in the comics. And technically, the Captain Stacy from Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man universe died saving a kid too - Peter himself, from the Lizard. One of the images seen in the background when Miguel is explaining Canon events to Miles indicates that Peter and Mary Jane getting married is also a Canon event - so not all Canon events are bad.
Some of the various Spider-Men among the ones seen at the Society's headquarters are from some of the animated Spider-Man shows. The one from the Insomniac game can even be seen at one point.
Hobie Brown was the original Prowler in the comics. Miles's uncle, Aaron, was introduced in the Ultimate universe, and seems to be more commonly used nowadays (probably because it gives Miles a connection to Prowler).
The spider that bit him was from that universe. Without the spider being there, that universe lacks a Spiderman

Here's my theory: in the first movie the interdimensional disturbance caused Gwen to time travel backwards a week.. I'm thinking Spot caused this entire story arc that brought all the Spider-Men in the first movie when the collider created him (or after he gained this ultimate nemesis form)

But just in case… the significance of Miles going to THAT universe is because the the original universe his spider 🕷️ came from that bit him and made him Spiderman! In Miles home world there was no extra spider. They already had Peter Parker as Spiderman and that’s it. The collider BROUGHT a spider from Earth 42 into Miles world and bit him. And made a 2ND Spiderman!! Miles was never supposed to be Spiderman that was the big deal! 😮. So when he was running away from the Spider society the machine scanned the DNA 🧬 of Earth 42 and sent him there instead of his home world. And the CRAZY thing is, the “evil” Prowler Miles grew up in a world where there was NEVER a Spiderman bc they lost their spider. So u see how dark his world is because they never had a hero and you could almost say that our Miles was to blame! 😢 🤯
It gets me where when Miles says to Peter, if you could save uncle Ben, wouldn’t you? It’s easy for Peter to say it’s for the greater good because he doesn’t have the option to save him, he never did. Also, it’s said Miles was said to be sent to the “wrong” dimension because when the machine scanned the DNA, it scanned the spider DNA and sent it to that dimension, if you remember, Spot said he pulled a spider from a different dimension.
Part 3 was supposed to be around March 2024 but most likely will be delayed due to the Hollywood strike.

When they say everyone has an “Uncle Ben”, that’s not always who they lost: Gwen lost her best friend Peter, the anime girl Peni lost her father, etc. The Captain may or may not be directly related but they’re a captain who is an ally - thus it would be Miles’ dad in his world.
He got sent back to universe 42 and not his actual home universe bc the spider that bit him was from universe 42 (not his home universe). Coincidentally, in the scene where they show them bringing the universe 42 spider to miles’ universe, it shows that the spider was abt to but the miles that needed up becoming the prowler.
There’s a lot of cause and effect going on in this movie.

I've allowed myself to get WAY too lost in the weeds with Across the Spider-Verse, and my current theory about how things will go in Beyond the Spider-Verse is that we'll learn that Miguel and the Spider-Society are just straight up wrong about Canon Events. There are obvious parallels and commonalities between the stories of all the spider-people, but what evidence did we actually see that supports the idea that disrupting the "canon" can destroy an entire universe?
In the movie, we saw some strange stuff in Mumbattan that Miguel clearly states was caused by Miles disrupting Pavitr's canon event... except what we saw was this strange black substance that looked completely different from what was shown in Miguel's recordings of his adopted universe dissolving. It actually looked exactly like the 'matter' that makes up Spot's holes. If you check the movie again, it originates from the location where the Alchemax building crashed down, and if you wind the movie back, why did the Alchemax building even come down in the first place? It was broken apart by that same black ichor after Spot used the collider, long before Miles disrupted Pav's canon event. Nothing that happened in Mumbattan was beacuse of Miles disrupting a canon event. It was all because of the Spot.
And what's the one other piece of evidence we saw? That would be the holo-footage of Miguel's adopted dimension dissolving, which is easy to get taken in by because of how hard it hits. So... what canon event did he disrupt, exactly? The other events have a label and a description, right? "ASM-90: A police captain close to Spider-Man dies saving a kid from falling rubble during a battle with an archnemesis." Very specific. So point me toward the canon event where Spider-Man gets gunned down in the street while carrying a bag of groceries home by a random purse-snatcher. What's the ASM number on that one? And if the version of Miguel that died wasn't even a Spider-Man, then taking his place couldn't have violated a Spider-Man canon.
Miguel destroyed his other universe, yeah. Maybe it was by something more fundamental like trying to take his own place after he died, or maybe it was by doing something that has yet to be revealed. It certainly wasn't beacuse he disrupted the canon.
That doesn't make much difference for Miguel; unless some new information comes to light, he's culpable either way, but it makes a world of difference for the rest of the Spider Society. It's easy to see why all the other Spider-People buy into Miguel's idea of the Canon, because the Canon as has been described to us mostly concerns their most traumatic moments, their most painful losses, and their lowest lows. Miguel's theory tells them it was all unavoidable, predetermined, that there's nothing they could have done, and that as much as it hurts it was part of a multiversal schematic that ensures the greater good. Can you imagine how much it would soothe the soul to be told that it wasn't your fault your last words with Uncle Ben were a stupid fight? That you could have stopped the mugger that killed him, but didn't out of spite? That you never could have saved Captain Stacey/Davis? That you never could have saved Gwen? It would be absolution for your greatest failures.
Just buy in, join the Society, and protect the canon. And bam, just like that, you've got interdimensional Spider-Man Fascism.
What all the Spider-People really need is some proper therapy and a lot of it. Funnily enough, we get a joke during the Neuva York chase that shows they're definitely not getting what they need with the Spider-Society. That therapist Spider-Man is clearly treating the traumas most of the Spider-People would be suffering from as insignificant and undeserving of attention.

still a dope concept of changing Gwen's hair colour on her mood, when she is with her Dad she has blue hair indicating she is sad, and when she is with Miles her hair goes pink indicating she is in love. small hidden stuff like that adds so much more to the movies and animation!

The reason that our Miles who is from Earth 1610 gets sent to the other Miles's Universe which is Earth 42 is because the machine reads your DNA and since the spider that bit Miles put its own DNA into Miles it read the spiders DNA instead of Miles's and thought/determined that he was from Earth 42 and sent him there since it is where the spider is from.
Some back story the Spot used the collider to bring the Spider that bit Miles which is from Earth 42 to Miles's Universe which is Earth 1610, and that Spider wasn't supposed to bite him it was supposed to bite someone from its original Universe but since the spider bit our Miles Earth 42 doesn't have a Spiderman to protect that universe and this is why we see the spider glitching in the first movie. This is also why Spider Man 2099 (Miguel O'Hara) says to Miles "you are the original anomaly, and the spider wasn't supposed to bite you, and you aren't supposed to be Spider Man", and why he tells Miles that "if not for you your Peter would still be alive". Because in the first movie Peter was about to turn the collider off when his Spider Sense tells him that Miles is in danger and Peter goes to save him which causes Peter to die.

A few spoilers: 1) You missed the mention of the "Sorcerer and the nerd from Earth-199999," which references No Way Home; 2) Almost every Spider character in this movie has a comic, I swear; 3) You may have remembered Donald Glover in Homecoming when he mentioned having a nephew named Miles, and now he's (technically) the MCU's Prowler; 4) The sexy Asian milf in the convenient store is from Venom, which has two movies; 5) The reason Miles got sent to the wrong one is because the machine read the DNA of the spider, not Miles himself, and the spider came from that other universe where Miles became Prowler.

so yes, the spiderman from miles universe did die because him becoming spider-man was never supposed to happen. which is why he died, the miles molares from the other universe was supposed to be spider-man but like they explained at the start, the spider ended in the wrong place and bit the wrong person and the wrong person is our spider-man, is the reason why miguel kept telling him that he was an anomaly and a mistake because technically he is. is the reason why miles ended in the wrong universe because the spider that bit him is from that universe. the machine scans your dna and since the spider that bit him isn’t from his universe, the machine sent him to the universe the dna is from. there was lowkey hints about our miles being prowler in the first movie because when he first encountered peter the colors around him were purple and green so our miles was basically supposed to be prowler
To be honest, you should watch Spider No Way home first because there is mention of Doctor Strange, but you will also know when you get there, so all in all, your reactions are always good, I hope even the other Marvel movies even if it's not the MCU, because there is a connection to other characters in the MCU such as the X-MEN😊
