The SMEAF method is gold! Thank you for the shoutout too :)
yep, this was like an Alex Hormozi video for blenders.
Now we just need the Derrk method 👀

Being on the customer end of the equation at this point in my career, I think you are providing some very sound advice to those starting the journey on this path. Great job! 👏👏👏
Blender is sus 😳
That’s wonderful to hear
Thanks!
Your video's and 3D work are always great and your storietelling is incredible. Thank you for sharing your advice, it's inspiring.
Thank you!
I’m glad people are enjoying this one 🎉
you literally inspired me, thank you so much for taking the time to make this to help so many of us!
Happy to help!
Hopefully this gets people out of the fiverr trap 🪤
Ive been checking your page every day for over a week waiting for this, thank you.
Legend!
I hope you enjoyed it 🔥
Smear, you are a legend! Super useful advice for any freelancer
I really appreciate this man for all the free advice that he gives generously
He is giving us golden apples!
Smeaf you're a really cool dude, I love your videos and your style. Keep it up! I'm sick right now and you made my day a tad better 🤧
Look, you made me believe that someone can seriously explain the meaning of freelancing. The video is more than wonderful, and your method is really beautiful and simple to understand.
Thank you, and your effort in the video really brought results
Even as a 2d pixel artist, this has set aside my fears and set up my humble little freelance page... THANK YOU!
Eyo leme check it out!
Let’s go!
So good to see 🎉
Thank you for this well-thought out process.
For those struggling to learn Blender, I have a suggestion. Cut down on the YT procedural tutorials and use that time to understand the details of the program. Don’t eliminate tutorials, but cut back and read the sections of the manual that apply to your situation. Digest the information you read and experiment to fully grasp it.
For example, I have some models I’ve imported for a huge scene I’m working on. Some models are nearly a million faces, and Blender is choking. Rather than Google a solution, I remembered reading about the decimate modifier in the manual. I pulled up that page in the manual, learned the 3 different methods, and really absorbed the differences. Planar worked best for me because it uses angle constraints, which is perfect for the vehicles I was trying to crush.
Point is, you can do the same for every speed bump you come across without relying on someone else (videos).
Of course, business and career advice like this video are pure gold, and well worth the time spent. Thank you, Smeaf!
One trick that might benefit many tutorial watchers... go along with following the steps. However, don't use the tool or modifier or whatever your instructor uses - find a different way to accomplish each step!
@@DrunkenUFOPilot That, or do the whole thing 2-3 times, using different methods each time. That way you'll really learn what tool works best with what situation
Great video! Not so often does someone go into such details and practicality🔥🔥
This was one of the best videos I’ve seen on UA-cam!! I don’t know why you appeared in my feed but I’m so glad you did. Subbed just because! 🎉
Thank you Smeaf 🙏 This was super helpful.
This is a very valuable video. The part about finding clients is really interesting. I am going to follow it and see what happens.
Thank you for this video! I'll keep going forward for my goal)
The way you explain the content is so much fun and creative❤
Thank you so much 😀
The last part about finding is great, ill bookmark this vid and save it for later when i get abit better at 3d. Thanks for the great video

Thank you
You’ve taught me more about 3d than any UA-camr out there thank you! Truly hope one day I can collab with you when I get better
This has been one of the single-most helpful and clear videos explaining this entire process
THANK YOU for making this.
I've heard these topics attempted to be explained by marketing bros for a while now, and hearing it from another creative brain really, really helped
Minecraft is universally understandable 😂
isnt skill stacking somehow contradicting finding specfic niche point?

During that time, I studied the ecommerce industry and clocked in 100s of hrs learning marketing to increase my potential to launch a successful dropshipping store.
Then I sold manufactured homes and learned sales on the front and backend of business.

Made it through the lowest low I've experienced...
Decided to go after a career in Data Analytics. I felt like it was the most interesting option while having the

hey great video I feel bad for you that you only got 32 thousand views cause it deserves 10 million views keep up the great videos. Thanks
I am in absolute love with this video. And watching all the way to the end felt exciting for me and understanding each word for word. Now I’m only 13 and don’t have that good of a PC rn, so I can’t really make money yet but I eventually will and soon blender will be fully connected into my daily life. As soon as I found and played around with blender like it was my favorite video game to play all the time, I found my true career. I love the Smeaf method you made, and you make such amazing and helpful videos. Keep up the work my guy.
Just a bit of inside info for you, I worked on commercial animations with Blender for a few years using a 2014 iMac, we made quite a bit of money during that time.
Point being that not having a good computer won’t prevent you making money with Blender, thinking that you need one will!
3D is not actually that taxing on a computer, or rather it doesn’t need to be.
If you’ve seen the movie ‘The Matrix’ from 1999, the CGI was rendered on computers with Pentium III CPUs (400mhz clock speed).
So happy to hear this has sparked your interest for 3D!
You better make some slappin renders when you get that pc setup! 🎉
@@btn237 alright. I’m already pretty familiar with that but for blender I use a computer that’s in my living room and we play movies or show on it to the big screen. And my dad only lets me sleep at 10 which is something I’m not complaining about exactly. So having my own computer in my own bedroom where if I can’t fall asleep at exactly 10 or earlier, I can hop on without any distractions or having my dad say to go to sleep. And I can just work on whatever I am working on in blender until i either get tired or feel like this is a good enough time to sleep now. But thanks for the info anyway!
I hate to imagine I’m just shilling my Twitter but just showing you that I’ve already done that part.
All ive known for the past 3 years is "I want to do blender". This video no joke has changed my whole goal and mindset, thank you for this!
Man I am new to blender
But I really love your chanell and montage and undertale osts are great
Love from Algeria keep it up buddy
Smeaf with priceless info as usual

Great video! Everything explained in a fun (and very logical analogy... trust me) and clear story to make something as broad and complicated as this easier to understand. I do have some questions though, how long / how many hours per day or week do you invest into these kinds of projects? And what do the companies expect?
As a fulltime student it could be hard finding the right balance between time and other priorities.
And I can imagine a company wanting to have a project finished within maybe a month or sooner, do you have a trick of recognizing "impossible" and/or realistic projects based of off your own skills? Knowing what you're able to do and or not?
Loving the content, keep em coming! :)
Little brother of Mr beast. Lol

Hi man, thank you so much for creating this video. I am a freelance 3d designer and animator based in amsterdam, working almost 7 years as a freelancer. Most of my clients are Ad agencies, because I have worked in that field before my freelance career. Through the I work for A-brands. Sometimes it feels like I need to stop freelancing, but looking at this video it reminds me to continue doing what I love. I am currently trying to switch from having ad agencies as clients to have more (small) brands as my clients, so that I can charge more. I feel often the lowest on the stack, if that makes sense. Thanks for the tips. I subscribed. Looking forward to see more from you. Cheers, Ruben!
I love the content!! I have learned a lot from these videos and I want to make videos showing off how to build VR Chat worlds!
This is marvelous, thank you!
In the vast landscape of UA-cam, where content creators abound, one figure stands out with unparalleled brilliance - Smeaf. With a unique blend of creativity, charisma, and unwavering dedication, Smeaf has captured the hearts and minds of viewers worldwide. This essay will delve into the reasons behind Smeaf's exceptional success and explore the qualities that make them a standout figure in the realm of online content creation.
Excellent video for someone dabbling with Blender. Thanks!
The thing that's so lovely about this video is that, I'm trying to learn about Minecraft so i can play with my older son and I'm also trying to find a little hustle because I've got no income due to illness so i learnt two things at once here lol! I believe the SMEAF method could work for any business idea. Thanks for sharing and making it so fun. This actually made Minecraft make sense for me lol!
i have never used blender and don't intend to but i still watch your content
This smeaf guy . He's good .
Merci je compte me lancer en freelance et tes conseils vont m'être utile
Thank you for the great advice. I am burning for this. Have been in Blender for a few years (for web3), but just lately discovered that web2 is the way to go. With a lot of work on my portfolio, appearance and skills still. But I am very passionate about this.
First time I've ever clicked on a sponsored link, got the free month, no regrets
Thanks. Those method are Great i am going to use this on my channel soon.🎉
You are so funny man! keep up the good work :D Godspeed
i love the editing of smeaf s videos. simply the best
my man smeaf must have a marketing degree or something. the algorithm he follows for making his videos is nearly perfectly executed.
Subscribed! Your video really made me relax and realize what an awesome blessed day is showing outside my window. I know maybe it doesn't relate, but no problem. Anyway, you just helped me now to choose my niche. I want to create product imagery.
Thank you for the video, you've mentioned a few more methods for finding clients at 10:50, as someone who is more oriented on making some pocket money with Blender I would love to hear more about the approach that does not require full-time involvement, as building client network does sound like quite a business. Please give your peace of advice to those who consider 3D modeling a 2nd source of income, thank you!
maybe try out some "stylized interior design" or "semi-realistic interior design"
tat has some market a lot of architectural firms would need one
applicable to so many small businesses. Nice!
I don't care what your work is, 3D or otherwise, it is always obvious to you the artist/provider what your client needs/could benefit from. It's all about convincing them that your work/service is worth it. Outside of 3D I can speak from experience that you really need to ask 1000 companies, get use to hearing "NO". Then all of a sudden, a single company starts paying some bills and then oh my god their referral got me more business and sooner or later with tons of work you end up saying no to good money because you literally don't have time. Or raising your prices. I learned blender to make my company look better in promo material and it's so dumb how just looking better results in a massive increase in business. same ingredients, same service, same program whatever right? people shop with their eyes and you need to convince businesses of that...for some reason. There are so many businesses out there, small and large that would benefit from animation and/or static scenes. Just show them that they're idiots for not hiring you.
Omg 100%, would you like to connect? IG, LinkedIn? I’m curious on some things haha
Hey Smeaf! Super good video I could easily identify my self in this video. Are you planning on releasing a full Blender course or more in-dept about product animation/renders ? I'd be super interested in that. Thank you for your videos keep it going.
Even though my goal and mindset right now is not to make money with 3D art and just for fun, but if i end up mastering 3D i would love to make it my job thank you for this video! :D
Bro not only helped me with a creative blackout, im also looking forward to play some Minecraft as well 😅
I recently got skillshare and.....omg.... its amazing. Even for a total 3D begginer as myself, but also for 2D students.
