- Do you like opera arias? At the #RebuildUkraine opera gala, international stars sang famous arias by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Donizetti, Offenbach, Handel, Gluck, Massenet, Meitus and others. The singers were accompanied by the Ukrainian Freedom Chorus and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) under the direction of Keri-Lynn Wilson. The concert was held on April 19, 2024 at Konzerthaus Berlin.

UKRAINIAN FREEDOM CHORUS
The charity gala is about demonstrating solidarity with Ukraine. It aims to raise funds for the rebuilding of the country and bring the issue to the public's attention. The donations will be used to set up community centers for traumatized children in the cities of Kherson, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia, which have been severely damaged by the war. It is one of the important projects of the aid organization #WeAreAllUkrainians, which works hand in hand with the Ukrainian partner organization Save Ukraine. #WeAreAllUkrainians has grown from an ad hoc initiative launched by Dr. Wladimir Klitschko and Tatjana Kiel in the first days of the war in February 2022 to a non-profit organization that, in addition to providing immediate relief measures, implements sustainable, large-scale aid projects in Ukraine.
The major charity event is organized by the Harald Christ Foundation for Democracy and Diversity, which since 2020 has been committed to supporting socially disadvantaged families and children, strengthening diversity, and promoting artistic and cultural work. The patron of the gala is the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Co-patron is the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner. The artists waived their usual fees for this good cause.
