He should wait till they upgrade the Harmony OS to the Version 5 "Next". because current Mate 70's are still on vs 4.3, and Vs 5 is totally different, with better control of the hardware including the cameras. Worth waiting for. I just hope they release Harmony OS 5 internationally, instead of only having it in China. I believe that this is their plan. They want it on Laptops too, instead of Windows 11. .

I have the freebuds pro 3 and love it. I think the unique thing about the pro 3 and pro 4 is the bone conduction mic's, because these bud's have the best call mic's on the market just wish they can add hearing test to their app like other competitors to help with increasing volume on the bud's because not all of us have perfect hearing. Definitely will be buying the pro 4.
This test is a very real life test, I like it. Please tell me I want to be sure, if I buy it and not have a Huawei phone should I get the same sound quality and phone call clear voice??
Thanks very much sir for such a explicit review... Am sure you will be the reason why Huawei will find itself in the US market... These buds are like nothing you have seen in the market now... Tell them.. Because they don't know how powerful Huawei products are ❤
I'm really confused about the 48khz/24 bits thing. If the earbuds have the LDAC codec, shouldn't they be able to play music at 96khz/32 bits? Meanwhile, the SBC codec (the one that all cheap headphones and earbuds use) goes up to 48khz/16bits (almost the same as the quality these buds use as a selling point) so I'm really confused about that feature. Maybe there's something I'm not understanding? Edit: I did some dive into this and if I'm not mistaken, it appears to be that these buds have also a codec called L2HC, made by Huawei, that supports up to 48khz/24bits. So they implemented a codec that's way worse than LDAC that you can only use in only one phone model. Weird. Anyways, just use LDAC, it's more likely for you not to need it in terms of quality, as most people use streaming services instead of lossless music, but LDAC should improve stability and latency when compared to SBC, and as there's not much information about L2HC's performance in terms of stability and performance, I would just go with LDAC.
@@tektechnician Then it makes sense, although I wasn't able to find that important information online. However, I don't know if having a maximum of 2300kbps would be useful, I imagine files with that many kbps must be really scarce, as not even CDs reach that quality, having only up to 1410kbps. The 990kbps of LDAC should be enough, and LDAC is open source, so basically all phones support it nowadays.
@@cruzdesangre2850 All this info is from SBC wiki or on the FBP4 page. Tidal does lossless streaming. High khz/bit doesn't correspond to quality. Its like having a 8K display and only viewing compressed jpeg memes on it. EQ would be the equivalent of colour calibration. If quality was based on specs only my PC would have class leading audio at 384khz/32bit.
I think it should work on any Huawei devices that use newer Kirin 9000S or later with the recent HarmonyOS and EMUI since the lossless audio requires Nearlink compatibility.
I just ordered an Honor Magic V3 - is it worth getting these and maybe miss out on a feature or 2 because of the "different" brands or should I wait until honor drops a new pro headset?

Ben just curious when you did your test with these against the Airpods Pro 2's, was the call recorded with the Airpods Pro 2 done paired to an iPhone? I feel it only fair if you recorded the Huawei call with it paired to the Mate X6 that the Airpods should be paired to an iPhone. I was quite surprised the Airpods sounded noticeably worse than the Huawei. I'm not doubting the Huawei's couldn't be that much better but was just wondering. Thanks.

I don't understand, how are these better than the galaxy buds 3 pro? Those run 24 bit at 96khz. Even the OnePlus buds pro 3 on a OnePlus device has better audio quality than that with lhdc 5.0 24bit at 192khz. I'm sure there's something you know that I don't so that's why I ask
One thing that is important it bit rate. What he is saying that these buds can cover the whole 24 bit spectrum at only 48khz. Which would be impressive cutting back on the size of the packets usually also transferring to battery improvements.
How about not "calling yourself" and picking this audio up from a small speaker with a further microphone - but going to the balcony and record with the record app and insert this file into the video instead? 😉
