My daughter has been using a "cheap" mesh drumset for 4 years. I plan to connect it to reaper and use better VST's but other than that it's perfect for home practicing.

Cool! These kits have come a long way in the last few years. Connecting them to VST kits gives you so much freedom to choose exactly the drum sound you want - you can't do that with an acoustic kit. Interesting note, your drumming face is quite different to your guitaring face!

Those stock sounds are pretty rough eh. Funnily enough the weirder ones might be more useful for recording. Better to think of it as basically a MIDI controller with some bonus stuff

I'm not a drummer but I thought those drums sounded really good. One note, when you connect to Logic via midi at 7:33 the hi-hat disappears.

Yeah it's kinda weird how low the hi-hat mix was in the stock logic plug-in
