Sorry guys I missed a clip due to copyright issues. Here it is: ua-cam.com/video/TnA2xFwrwek/v-deo.html
Disney didn't want us to see Rey saying "I'll own your borher saber.. One Day" To literally 10 minutes later getting it back
While I was so impressed with how they handled this, Leia felt like one of those dolls you pull the string and spouts a random phrase
You're not wrong. One of those moments where it's most glaring is this exchange:
Rey: I need to finish what Luke started. Find Exogol. Find the Emperor.
Leia: No.
Okay, Leia. If you say so. Thank you for giving Rey such a strong and well thought out argument. It's no wonder Rey left. Leia gave her no reason not to other than slight disapproval. ;)
@@TheKennethECarper
Well their choices were limited. Tbh, I’m happy with what they did
@@joeiorio9654 Well here's the thing, they needed Leia to finish up the story they started. There was no way to conclude it without her. Her son was the main villain after all. So I don't disagree with bringing her back. I don't disagree with using outtakes to base a performance around. It's like a high tech version of the way Ed Wood based "Plan 9 from Outer Space" around a few minutes worth of Bela Lugosi footage. It's cheesy but cool. The thing is, the technology exists to do more.
They could have taken Carrie's footage, animated the mouth moving Mr. Ed style, and used a voice double to record substantial dialogue for the character. They could have done that several times throughout the film, but they were really stubborn at making sure all of her performance was recycled TFA bits, and it only kinda works. I just wish they hadn't been so stringent about how they got Carrie's performance in this film.
@@TheKennethECarper I didn't find Leia saying "No" in that situation was strange at all.
@@TheKennethECarper we’ll never know the full story, but given that they consulted her daughter who was also a supporting character in the film, it’s entirely possible this was the furthest she would allow them to go.
It broke my heart to see Billie Lourd ushering her mother’s character out to reach out to Ben and be one with the Force. Billie deserves everything, in memory of the Princess of Alderaan 🧡
Wow - I didn't even know that was Billie.
Especially with everything she went through, lost her mother and then grandmother within a day, must’ve been awful
@@gravendanger aw really, that would be so shit.
She's like one of those toys where you press the button and it says some random catchphrase
i think this is the best thing I've heard all day XD
Now introducing, Tickle me Leia !
Rey: "I feel I'm not worthy as an apprentice."
Leia: "Reach for the sky!"
Rey: "You're right, I need to start reaching to be the best I can be"
Later on.
Poe: "Somehow Palpatine returned"
Leia: "There's a snake in my boot!"
it's pretty good considering they had practically nothing and also had to use a double.
@@ororomunroe4055 It certainly looks good for the most part, but JJ Abrams had nothing substantive for the character to say except for brief little clips that, with a whole fuck ton of fudging, still made her sound like a video game NPC, saying empty out of context phrases, that loosely fit what all the other characters are saying. These scenes remind me of "The Return of Chef" episode of South Park where Chef's dialogue was made up entirely of dialogue he spoke in previous episodes of the show, that sounded hollow and creepy when intercut with new dialogue and performances written for that episode.
When she says “Tell me” it was an outtake from Ep 7 when she tells R2-D2 “tell me”. That’s why her head is looking down.
I have a feeling the “in the shadows” line about Palpatine was taken from her telling Han about Snoke turning Kylo in TFA. Also, the “No” she tells Rey is from that same scene about Snoke; the line is spoken in TFA but the camera is on Han’s face, so JJ must’ve had an angle on Leia’s face & used it in TROS. I love trying to find out where the footage could’ve fit in to TFA, but it also takes some of the “suspension of belief” of Leia/Carrie really being “there” in the film. JJ & the team’s really outdid themselves with adding in someone who’s been gone for 3 years into a movie nearly seamlessly using unused footage.
@@crusmonster1397 I am still wondering where "Never be afraid of who you are." is from.
@@stevebragg4256 That line is horrifying in a great way.
@@stevebragg4256 maybe a deleted scene from previous films?
@@stevebragg4256 I think someone else said it since they didn't show face.
“Somehow Palpatine returned” never fails to crack me up lmao
It was confirmed by TROS script co-writer Chris Terrio that Leia had a number of scenes with Rose Tico, but they ended up on cutting room floor because they didn’t quite turn out to be the quality they wanted. He also stated that not ALL of the unused Carrie Fisher footage was used as additional lines of dialogue/scenes would’ve come across as out of context with the film’s plot. It’s a shame that Carrie sadly passed away, I wonder how different the film would’ve been had she not. TROS was supposed to be Leia’s film.
Charlie Dungate Would be nice to see the unused scenes as well. Thanks you for this :D
It's just awful that she passed. And she definitely would have carried the final film.
Yes this last episode was suppose to be “Leia’s” movie. She started the Saga and she ended it. So fitting. We miss you Carrie!
@@buihelgason Yeah, I enjoyed reading that and especially reading the lines that Carrie would have gotten if she were still with us.
I agree. I really enjoyed duel of the fates. And although it didn't explore more of Leia's force abilities, (which was a highlight in TROS) I honestly think most people would've preferred that film as the conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. It's just really sad that she passed. I think JJ did what he could, Todd Fisher said it was important to have the scenes with Leia be the ones that JJ used for the final film. If Carrie had been alive I am sure Leia would of been central to the story.
0:50 When you're embarrassed to say your next line.
“Okay, Oscar, I want you to say your line like it’s the most unbelievable thing you’ve ever had to say. An idea so ridiculous and out of nowhere that you cringe even thinking about it! To the point where you’re exhausted, numb, disgruntled, and confused.”
“Oh, that won’t be too hard.”
He looks so done with the franchise, hahahaha.
I don’t get what people wanted him to say, like I get it’s annoying we didn’t see palatines announcement and I get that but what was he supposed to say lmao ‘The spooky Sith Lord has returned from his grave 😳😱😱😱’
@@iMarley_ It’s not that this specific line should’ve been better, it’s that the entire trilogy should’ve been planned from the start. It’s not annoying that we didn’t see Palpie’s announcement, it’s incredibly bad writing that they had to bring him back at all.
it's honestly mad if u think about it. r2d2 was there when leia was born and was there when she died
This was a goodbye to Princess Leia but also a final farewell and tribute to her brilliant actress for all those years, Carrie Fisher may you rest among the stars.
Honestly, given the hand they were dealt, I felt that they handled Leia as well as they could’ve as far as having a physical role in the film.
For some reason the first time I watched the movie I remembered her saying a lot more, when I rewatched it, it made it very clear how little they were working with. Always happy to see her but it felt melancholy because of that. Like when she's talking to rey and just said "No" and then Rey finished the scene. Leia was a character that always got and deserved the last word so it felt a little strange
I'm convinced. Carrie Fisher's spirit descended from Heaven to play Leia one last time and finish what she started.
Yes she did. Even though Leia didn’t have much scenes you could still feel her heart and spirit in the movie. I still tear up when I watch this movie.
Wait carrie ficher passed away
she had a beautiful ending..a truly beautiful character
Lmao this is so fake tho
@@christianarreguin4879 It was a metaphor.

I still love this trilogy… after 30+ years? The choices of new talent, “Rae, Finn, Poe, Ben,and all others was EXCELLENT 😎🥃 Touched my heart, and made us all smile… “Rae” and the cast truly did the trilogy proud!
And Carrie, Harrison showed up in heart and soul👍🏼
I loved how Leia's outfit bears striking resemblance to Anakin's outfit during The Clone Wars. Leia was one of the very few good things about the Sequel Trilogy
Literally every scene with Leia in this movie game me goosebumps... RIP princess
For all my problems with TROS, I don't mind how they handled Leia in it. It turned as well as it possibly could have, all things considered.

Yes! Imagine if she maybe Ben came back to the rebel base and had a scene where Leia forgave him and the two come together and go to Rey’s aid in defeating palatine, the last Skywalkers together, would’ve been awesome and Leia could’ve used her saber and got a good scene
The scene where she hugs Rey looks incredible
R2 was there at their birth, and he was there for her until the end...
The way The Rise of Skywalker handles Leia was amazing. The movie was great
one person told me that each trilogy with the skywalkers ended on a scene with luke and leia ep 3 them getting sent away for protection ep 6 them celebrating victory over the empire and here they gave rey the blessing of the skywalker name poetry it rhymes
@RomeoPapaCharlie it sucked
They all sucked . In my mind episode 6 was the last movie
@RomeoPapaCharlie The problem is well... everything
TFA was a bland soulless ripoff of ANH, TLJ and TROS spent most of their runtime redoing what the last one undid, the sequels blatantly trash on the lore, Rey has no character and randomly develops new powers, even advanced dark powers even when she's doing all of this without a mentor and still solely training with the light. There's no threat in the movies, by now they've ripped off the deathstar twice. One with the starkiller base and then the new star destroyers that destroy planets. Nothing in the previous movies hint to palpatine's return, and he's killed off in the most disappointing way. Actual characters with potential are horribly wasted. They're so bad I can write an essay on it
@RomeoPapaCharlie naw man, that's barely a paragraph
@@adityabhalekar3506 there is plenty to hint at palpatine a return in the previous movies even as far down as the music
I honestly feel sorry for this movie. Carrie Fisher had passed away, the crew didnt know how to please the fan-base.
Honestly, the only thing I'm kind of ticked at this movie for, is not trying out the: 'I am Your Grandfather!' line
They should’ve killed her off early on imo
Yeah, and also the line "Empress Palpatine" was great.
Leia thrown into space in TLJ is the best chance for them to killed off leia, but fans will hate TLJ more because how they killed fans beloved "childhood" character
@@bryanalexander4176 no it would’ve been terrible to kill her there already lol it was just a easy opportunity not a good one
@@bryanalexander4176 🤦♂️ How many times do I have to explain this to you people. The film and scene was filmed without any knowledge or knowing that Carrie Fisher would pass away the following year after filming had wrapped up on TLJ and with original plans to have her be a central character in the last film. So already, stop complaining about “Carrie Poppins” and move on with your life; or even better, go home and rethink your life. It’s already been 4 years since that scene happened.
To me, she should have passed in TLJ, and used what was left as a Force Ghost for Ben. Not once did she ever get to hold Ben in her arms again. Anakin got to see his mother before she died. Wouldn't it have been cool to see a Force Ghost be able to make physical contact, and it be Leia? That moment when Han Solo showed up in ROS should have been Leia telling Ben not to be afraid of who he is.
Leias death in episode 8 would’ve been terrible cause Leia barely appears in episode 8, rise of Skywalker did her finale Moment justice
But Carrie Fisher was always intended to be in episode 9. Force Awakens was Hans story, Last Jedi was Luke’s and Rise was supposed to be Leia’s. So they were never going to kill her off in 7 or 8. Incidentally however, the last Jedi was written so beautifully that it became Luke AND Leia’s story. She got some really poignant moments in the last Jedi that spookily felt like a farewell to her character, even though Carrie hadn’t died when it was filmed, but she had by the time the film was in cinemas. So R2 playing her message, her using the force, to hear her theme again, her moment with Kylo, Holdo’s ‘may the force be with you...always’ line to Leia and finally Leia’s ‘nobody’s ever really gone’ moment with Luke and when he kisses her head before he walks away. Beautiful. Rise of skywalker was just an added bonus of a proper farewell that they managed to salvage out of unused clips and the new footage with other actors
@@obiwankenobi687 I don’t think TLJ was written perfectly, but Carrie and Mark’s acting was perfect for their roles
@@thegamingrepublic7014 Best performances they ever gave. You can *FEEL* how much they’ve grown as actors since 1977 and it’s so bittersweet.
@@l.r.5255Leia is in The Last Jedi for nearly an identical amount as she is in A New Hope. And much more than she is in Force Awakens or Rise of Skywalker. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
Rest In Peace Carrie Frances Fisher October 21, 1956-December 27, 2016
This makes a lot more sense because when I was watching it in the theatres, I had a feeling that Rey in this film looked younger than the one in The Last Jedi, and I did some research and they used scenes from The Force Awakens to fill in this part in Rise of Skywalker. This also answered how Carrie Fischer had to cast all the scenes in 2015.
"Goodbye, dear princess."
As flawed as the sequels were, you have to admit it was glad they got to showcase Carrie one last time as Leia for us to see. Honestly, it makes her death in TROS all the more tragic.
Yeah, eventhough this movie was a mess, the best thing i can see is the fact that they handled Carrie's character as good as basically i was hoping knowing the situation
i think carrie fisher's passing is what screwed up the plan for the trilogy, (it was nobody's fault of course, how could they have seen it coming) I have a feeling if she had lived episode 9 would have turned out differently because she would have had a critical role.
Still it was nice they were able to include her at all
They said they never actually had a plan for the trilogy, but yes if she was still alive it would have been better.
That is true. Nobody can see a tragic happening coming. It just happens unexpectedly. That’s sadly how life is.
Hardly. It was screwed before she passed because there was no single vision for the trilogy from the beginning. That is what screwed it.
@@elliotjohnson9415 that may be
@@elliotjohnson9415 to be fair Rian only carried on from what JJ wrote. JJ undid it all for episode 9. At least episode 8 feels like a sequel to episode 7. You forgot the scene where she disappears.
oof. I'm so stupid. I'll be reuploading it soon with higher quality 4k so I'll make sure to add it. I kind of just went through the movie and took out the bigger and longer scenes and forgot to look in closer at the smaller ones. Thank you for reminding me :)
@@Spectrumoe You also forgot the "Never Underestimate a Droid" scene when Rey returns the lightsaber that Leia gave to her
Vapt184 Link to that video is pinned at the top. UA-cam would block the video no matter how much I tried to add it in. Also a 4K version of the video will be coming out soon and also 4K version of all Leia Scenes.
I think that's CGI or stunt.
I feel like they did a good job with it. The only scene that feels REALLY awkward and weirdly edited was the "nothing is impossible" scene. You can tell that Carrie and Daisy are just not ''acting'' with each other. But otherwise I really like Leias scenes in this movie.
Its hilarious how Daisy Ridley is trying to act with deleted Carrie Fisher scenes from Force Awakens.
As flawed as this movie is, I am stunned by how they handled Leia in this movie.
I couldn't imagine using old footage to get one liners out of her character.
This feels like the scene from the Sopranos where they CGI'd Tony's mom. 20 years later, and it still doesn't work.
They took a magic 8 ball to play the role, then put Carrie Fisher images on top of it.
4:01
My thought of what R2 might’ve said
“Please no...”, “Oh no...” or “Leia...” I think that “Please no” seems fitting...
2:30 Proof that there are chicken wings in a Galaxy Far Far Away.
Ffs
The way they included her is very impressive
i wonder what was intended for Carrie Fisher's character Leia, if she had not passed away unexpectedly in 2016, on how her role in this film would have been if she had lived longer.
Half expected her to say, "I used to be an adventurer like you but then I took an arrow to the knee"
I have a lot of issues with TROS, but this I'll forgive them for. They were in an unwinnable situation- a 100% CGI Leia would be just disgusting. A recast- God help the poor actress. Unused dialogue and footage- it'll seem clunky and out of place, but it's the least awful option. And we got to see Carrie one last time.
And now they're all together again.
Rest in Peace Carrie Fisher!
How is this possible?
Carrie's been dead for almost four whole years!
well.They got unused footage.
Well, even though some scenes are kind of obvious, I still think it's clever how they managed to use unused TFA footage to make it look as though Carrie Fisher was actually there. Especially as not all TFA deleted scenes were made available on Blu-ray. When I went to see TROS, I honestly thought at first they'd actually started filming the year before TLJ was even released and that Carrie managed to film some scenes before she died. RIP, Princess Leia
Leia saying “Rey” is the exact same audio clip at 0:27 and 2:21 lmao. Why did they do this? They didn’t even have enough in the archives to refrain from reusing dialogue.
Ngl, even when I was 13 I thought the scene where younger Luke & Leia were fighting looked like a video game.
My deepest condolences to the mighty princess Leia thank you for your beautiful courage and may the force be with you always long live the rebellion
I have yet to see this film, and I’m from the original 1977 theatre fan base (age 12).
Mortality can upend the grandest of plans. That's always a concern whenever so much care and devotion is given to memorable characters brought to life by memorable performances that if there is never a proper send off to those characters there is left a hollowness that can't be filled. The best thing that can be done really is not to bring them back through technology but pass the mantle to someone who can honor the role and appreciate the performance and not the a lingering shadow of a memory.
R2 was there when Leia was born and now he was there when she died.....
Carrie fisher will be one with the force
Some people are mad on how they ended Leia in the film, but you must know that Carrie Fisher died before the movie was being made. That's why they used unused footage from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi to complete her story. Using CGI may be possible but i think it's just disrepectful towards her legacy. If Carrie was alive i'm sure her story and her passing in The Rise of Skywalker would be totally different than this
I find It very creepy, its like you see she doesnt have emotion, like a dead body
you can tell they didn't have much to work with, but it's still shockingly lucky how so many of leia's lines that could be used for the film's plot were just from the back burner since the beginning.
"There's so much I want to tell you."
I have a feeling Daisy said that line after Carrie died.
2:43 do me personal favor 🤣🤣🤣never gets old
1:38 - this could easly have been salvaged by having maz in the shot telling rey thet both maz and leia agreed that rey is not ready yet to face that Challenge - instead of that weird no
I keep thinking of that scene from Simpsons with fallout boy edited in.
Any of the scenes where it shows Leia from behind might not have been Carrie Fisher. I think they did the same thing in Wagons East when John Candy died.
Tbh, I didn't notice it looking a little janky until people pointed it out.
I don't mind much though, for what it's worth I'm glad they were able to give Leia a proper send off without CGI or anything.
00:24 That obviously looks like she was on wires flipping.
It's so awkwardly slow. I think they wanted to make her look graceful, but it just looks fake instead.
@@RandomGuy285 I mean I think the force always looked like strings pulling. She was levitating down with the force so it looks right to me.
At least it's not worse than Tony Soprano's mother xD.
Remember , Carrie Fisher. WAS ILL DURING ALL THE LATER FILMS even the films she featured in in life her mouth and face had to be digitally altered they had hardly any footage to work with .. i think it was a superb tribute but sad in a lot of ways we all know the princess had a lot to say hearing her speak little lines and not finishing lines is really tragic she was an icon and legend the clips were not perfect but just a loving tribute rip
I wish Leia had met Palpatine at least once during the entire trilogy. Maybe she would’ve in this movie if Carrie sadly hadn’t passed away. But it’s super impressive how her scenes were done. You would think they just rotoscoped her into a new scene but that’s not the case. They completely built her digitally. The only real thing is her face. Everything else was a combination of a physical double, or someone else’s body.
Romance girl
They managed to make Princess Frickin Leia a side character or least feel like one
Imagine the version the writers could have made if they would have just opened the crawl with: “LEIA ORGANA is dead.”
Followed by an epic grand funeral scene to really set the tone of the movie.
When I went to see The Rise Of Skywalker and Leia dies and when I watch it now I so had to and still say the Jedi Code but it was and still is hard when my eyes flooded and flood with tears. When I went to see it there was a puddle of tears in front of me while I whispered the Jedi Code as Leia dies
Lmao you can almost see the rope dropping Ridley back down
The last scene is not believe able...in Return...she didn't know Luke was her Brother till he told her....
4:01 R2 noise :(
Leia: princess, general, jedi master.
jedi master is a reach, unless luke trained her
The fact that leia only has 5 and a half minutes of screen time is a insult to Carrie Fisher.
well, they didnt have much else to work with in terms of footage they had shot
One of the things that always bothered me about this movie (among the other 5,000 things) is when they showed Luke training Leia. He lifts the visor and they used the CGI face of Luke during the Empire Strikes Back days. He wasn't even a full Jedi then and lost badly....VERY badly to Vader because he wasn't a full Jedi. Why would he be training someone else? If anything, they should've CGI'd Luke's face after Return of the Jedi when he'd become a full Jedi and mastered the skills needed to train someone else.
I don't think the facial model they used had anything to do with time placement, and more to do with the face of the actor portraying that younger Luke, as lookalike actors to such characters often need that element for the effects team to do a better job. I'm pretty sure the scene is supposed to take place after ROTJ and not before it, as Leia didn't even have her lightsaber in that movie.
Nitpick of the century lol. Star Wars fans are good at nitpicking.
"Somehow...Palpatine returned."
Yeah, that's some great storytelling from J.J. 🙄
That's not technically J.J's explanation. That's Poe Dameron's reasoning. He knows nothing about the Sith and what they're capable of. How would Poe know Palpatine created a dark side cult to prepare his return, then use Sith magic to transfer his essence into a cloned body?
@@refulgent_fanta Yes, that's Poe's reasoning, which wasn't put there by J.J. because Poe's actually a real human being, not a fictional character. 😖
We all know that Palpatine returned "somehow" because the geniuses behind the sequels had no idea what they were doing story-wise, and J.J. had to fix the mess that was Last Jedi.
The mental gymnastics fanbois will go through to defend crap never ceases to amaze.
@@MultipleOffenses OK let me rephrase that. If you actually paid attention to the movie, you would've seen they told us the means through which Palpatine returned. The Sith Eternal, a a dark side cult founded by Palpatine, had a secret cloning program that reconstructed the emperor's body. After his death, Palpatine's spirit possessed one of the clones. Other products of the Sith Eternal cloning program were Snoke and Rey's father.
The line "Palpatine returned somehow" was a line of dialogue pulled from Poe Dameron. This only tells us that Poe didn't know how Palpatine returned. and why would he know? Most of the galaxy doesn't know the Jedi were a real thing. How would they know about the Sith and their rituals?
This is coming from someone who hates this film. Seeing Leia onscreen years after Carrie died is unbelievable. I can’t what they accomplished with this. They did a great job.
And everybody CHEERED when they found out Palpatine was 'pulling the strings from the very beginning', but I didn't cheer, I stood up and started shouting, 'HE'S DEAD! THIS ISN'T FAIR! THEY JUST CHEATED US! HE DIDNT GET OUT OF THE COCKADOODIE CAR!'

I read the original plan was for each movie of the Sequel Trilogy to focus on one of the Big Three from the Original Trilogy: 'The Force Awakens' focuses on Han, 'The Last Jedi' on Luke and 'The Rise of Skywalker' was supposed to have Leia front and center. I'm certain she would've reunited with Kylo Ren in this film if Carrie hadn't passed, which would've been terrific. I respect their intent with how they did it here, but it does look awkward. This film should've just started with Leia's funeral.
wow lea sounds like an npc character from jumanji
General Leia , We are getting reports 7-9 will be deleted / totally erased from canon
more than half of her added scenes were just concerned looks
1:04 Wait, if Carrie said that line before TRoS, does that mean JJ always intended Palpatine to be behind everything? Or was Leia originally talking about someone else, like Snoke?
She propably was talking about Snoke.
@@hugocastilla3102 Does that mean Snoke really was going to be Darth Plagueis?
@@hugocastilla3102 Yep, because, technically, the shot of Carrie Fisher’s face was one of those Force Awakens shots, though this was one along with the line was deleted from that film and later used in this film, originally came from the scene between Leia and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) during their talk inside the Resistance Base about their son Kylo Ren’s (Ben Solo’s) fall to the dark side of the Force at different camera angles except. If you just watch both that scene in the Force Awakens with this scene here in TRoS and compare those two together, you can see the matching of her positioned face in whichever camera angle, except for the closeups of her face, it was at.
I still think the audience misunderstood what Leia meant with: "Never be afraid of who you are."
I'm pretty sure she just meant for Rey to not change who she already was morally throughout her entire life just because of the revelation of her bloodline. She was not telling her to take on the name Palpatine (And yes, I know Leia accepted Skywalker as her name, but I bet she did to honor the bond with her brother, not to honor Anakin)
If you paid attention to the film, you know Rey's parents chose to reject the name to protect her. I think it would be disrespectful for her to take on this name knowing the sacrifice they did for her. Instead, she took on a name, that, in my opinion, reflects her journey as a Jedi:
She was called by two Skywalker lightsabers.
She was trained by the Skywalker twins (Mostly Leia, but it would be disonest to not include Luke in this, specially because Rey knows what Luke means to Leia and Luke knows what Rey means to Leia).
I feel like, by taking on this moniker, she not only rejects her grandfather's legacy like her parents before her, but she also finally moves on respectfully from them and chooses to forge her own path aknowledging those who fought to protect the light.
Calm down and lay off the adderall ... it’s a movie
No shade here. I love Carrie fisher. But its a bit strange to see her in this film looking noticeably younger than she did in the previous film. Especially since in the previous film she was injured for most of it and moved around slowly and in pain.
“Somehow”
And this 9th movie the death of general leia and ben solo.
03:53 prophetic
I’m sure everybody would’ve understood if they had just written her out. Awkward situation, this wasn’t the best solution
Roko Mouth I mean, the fans would probably outrage if she wasn’t in it in some way. They did the best with what they had, but it was kind of awkward and some scenes didn’t make much sense, maybe they should have just added her funeral? But then again fans would have probably wanted to see her. I don’t think there even is a best solution to this situation.
Spectrumoe I mean I don’t think it should’ve been one of Disney’s priorities to please fans over an untimely death, this is the one thing where there should never be any outrage for not including a character. Personally I would’ve rather them not have used archive footage, just feels icky on her legacy and doesn’t look to good, just my opinion though, I know there’s a lot of people who loved this
I somewhat agree. You can clearly tell that they’re using unseen deleted footage. Half of the time it looks obvious that she was digitally inserted
Roko Mouth I’m mixed about it. Some of the scenes feel off and don’t really make much sense because you’ve got the characters explaining what she’s talking about because she can’t. But then again I’m just glad to see Carrie again.
I just wish they'd planned the trilogy more. It's such a mess.
Somehow palpatine returned…somehow… reasons ‘n’ stuff, fuck me is that it? Ian Mcdiarmid has a lot of explaining to do.
