I was surprised when one of my grandsons spilled a whole big cup of water on my A15 (brand new) I dried it up and put it in rice and it worked with no problem...Today I put an open water bottle (not knowing) in my purse and it spilled all over...The phone got wet...I dried it up and it's working fine...🤞🤞🤞❤❤❤

The Samsung Galaxy A15 is not waterproof. It does not have an IP rating, which is the standard used to measure a device's resistance to dust and water. If you accidentally spill water on it, it's best to dry it off right away. For peace of mind in situations where your phone might get wet, consider a waterproof case.
Every phone does have an IP rating. It's just not mentioned as standard like the flagships or the midrangers. Particularly this A15 have the IP53/54 dust and splash resistance. It is just not promoted as much because It's an old tech and mandatory for all phones. And waterproof is not a word for phones with an IP rating, rather It's to test if they're resistant to water, dust, sand or dirt. Even my old A10s have survived being submerged 5 times underwater and had wet insides especially on the screen+battery connector and processor components. But you know what it still turns on and runs flawlessly. That's because of the hidden IP rating that's implemented in every phone possible. The insides of this A15 is also no joke. It's clean and doesn't feel or look cheap despite the price. Wonder why It weighs 203 grams is because of the superb build quality on this entry level phone.

It is basically waterproof. They just dont pay for the certification. That also means they arent liable for water damage, but these phones are glued and sealed the same way the others are, so itll be fine if it rains or you jump in water

Hello... I come to say that this video is fake! As everyone knows, cell phones that have IPXX protection, have an o-ring on the one without a card to protect against water....put the video on low speed and you will see that when you remove the sim card, it does not It has no o'ring. My A54 has IP67 and yes it does. Do not be fooled!
