I did not frequent this particular performance, but I can tell you that the feeling at a Blind Guardian concert is unrivalled. I felt so elated and filled with adrenaline for days on end!
Read a review of this Wacken performance a couple days ago and these guys were trashing the band and Hansi for not "doing much on stage"... What the hell do they want the man to do, sommersaults and pirouettes and stuff? He's singing the shit out of the songs, should be enough for anyone.
In my humble opinion, that's one of the best heavy metal performances a singer has ever done. Hansi started kinda slow (probably because of his untidy physical condition and trim at the time), but once his voice was warm enough (middle of Born in a Mourning Hall), he absolutely KILLED IT.
Everyone's getting older I guess. One thing which amazes me is their ability to write songs as easy everybody might sing along, yet as complex even the fanatic technical guy may give his thumps up. That's why their concerts are still awesome.
P Mars That's one of the reasons why BG is still my favorite band, it's nearly impossible to find another band that changed so much as BG, while still maintaining their original sound. I love beeing able to decide on whether I'd rather listen to the instrumental part of their music or only to Hansi's singing and the amazing choirs. Most bands are only able to keep me focused on one aspect of their music.
Wolf to see this live. The first time I've ever seen blind guardian live the second to last song was the last candle. It was amazing!!! It has the same kind of feels as Valhalla but even better because they rarely ever play it live
5:48 ... this is why i will always love Blind Guardian. That face of enjoying the fucking crowd getting crazy... best live performance ever!!! go on bards!!!
Uma das coisas mais fantásticas que pude conhecer na minha vida. 🇩🇪 Sei que cada 1 tem seu gosto; mas quem não ama Blind_Guardian não merece conversar sobre som comigo hahah ☣️ Sou Fanático..🤘
It's better than the Tokyo Tales version! wow!! I just love BlinD Guardian's stage performance, dressed in black and always that red guitar! I love it! not like "look at me I've got 100+ guitars" Andre sure has passion of playing it!
I hate to be picky, but that one can't slip through: - Conan, what is best in life? - To crush your enemies, see them driven before you... and then Blind Guardian if you want to...
Why dont they let Oliver just be part of the band.. hes an amazing bassist and i dont se Hansi picking up bass anytime soon.. i just think it'd be nice to give him the spot for all he does for the band... its a lot of effort and time to put into a band you're technically NOT part of if you think about it..
to focus on the vocal part of his performance... imagine singing and playing bass for BG... I dont understand how he did it in the firstplace... I cant sing while playing guitar at all...but thats me...
All of them. His compositional skills are incredible, his leads mesmerizing, and instrumental sections, mindblowing mini-symphonies. His sense of melody and creativity since Somewhere Far Beyond just tops it all off.
I'm here again after two epic movies (2021, 2024).
even out of the studio this guy sounds great.
5:47 you can see by the look in their faces, the satisfaction they got from the crowd that night
Every time they play this song live, it sounds 10x better than the studio album version, and they never seem to mess it up.
A legendary band playing a legendary song at a legendary festival with a beautiful sky this is just perfect
And everything is related a legendary sci-fi saga 😊

By my dreams I must find a way
To stop the raging war
I've to choose now
I will leave

A way back to the world I love
When I'm a million miles from home

Really the reviews said all that shit?? Fuck the reviewers blind guardian was the best band there!
In my humble opinion, that's one of the best heavy metal performances a singer has ever done. Hansi started kinda slow (probably because of his untidy physical condition and trim at the time), but once his voice was warm enough (middle of Born in a Mourning Hall), he absolutely KILLED IT.
@@leofreitas12 it's definitely one of their best shows, hands down
THE MORNING SUN THE MORNING SUN THE MORNING SUN
my ears are so happy right now :D
Hansi seems to have recovered his voice. After that ear infection he lost it and it wasn't the same... I'm glad he's completely recovered :)
4:36 Epischer Augenblick!!!
This is my favourite metal song and video on UA-cam. Plus look at their satisfied faces 5:47, and on top - her face 6:05!!
They're playing this song with so much emotion.
*#DUNE* Movie needs this song
is it about that Movie?
Book
No, Blind Guardian is a classic band and I don't want they become something vanal, mainstream and later people will expect silly content
One of the few bands out there which sound as good live as in studio, if not actually better!
Not that good anymore but still quite impressing.
Everyone's getting older I guess. One thing which amazes me is their ability to write songs as easy everybody might sing along, yet as complex even the fanatic technical guy may give his thumps up. That's why their concerts are still awesome.

one of the best metal songs. What a feeling!
Wolf to see this live. The first time I've ever seen blind guardian live the second to last song was the last candle. It was amazing!!! It has the same kind of feels as Valhalla but even better because they rarely ever play it live

Underrated in the states... I don't know anyone other than a couple of my teachers that even know of Blind Guardian
Andre is GOD! Just an awesome solo!! Nobody sings in the solos like him, its pure melody!

0:26 I never noticed that before, Hansi going "Geez people, LISTEN. You have to sing that bit higher!" heh. That only works in Japan, man.
Best performance of all their songs from wacken!
Офигенная песня!
башню сносит
One of my favourite Bg songs

Blind Guardian and Dune... the perfect combination

I hate to be picky, but that one can't slip through:

I wish i could make such guitarsolos as Andre! Jizzed in my pants 2 times during this one..
Best BG song.
I don't think that blind guardian has ever been underrated.
Blind Guardian= Limited inspiration-creativity, but they are great band
I will play this song again... "and again, again, again, again".

Theres nothing like hearing BG while playing some MTG.
Hail Bards.
The best moment of the video 5:44
I want Andre's guitar *-*
I think Andre could eat alive at least 90 percent of the guitarist on the metal scene
Well probably not the powermetal scene. Too many amazing guitarists in this genre.
still in there andre is beast
Andre Felder For sure.
All of them. His compositional skills are incredible, his leads mesmerizing, and instrumental sections, mindblowing mini-symphonies. His sense of melody and creativity since Somewhere Far Beyond just tops it all off.
@@michag798 This guy gets it. There are shreddier, more technical players but no one touches Andre for just knowing how to write great moments.
The HansiChrist era!
Hail to Muad'dib!
