It was pure AWESOME!!!

Amazing band. Saw them back in 2006 on their U.S. tour..To this day, no concert has compared to that of theirs. They just have everything. They know how to get the crowd going, and it's just so full of energy.

They really play the s--- out of any other band .. but not by having a lot of scenery or costumes .. but just by the strength of their music and contact with the audience.
@NicoGrind This is because the metal festivals here are usual,Europe is full of festivals and concerts,especially in summer (like Wacken,Summer Breeze,Brutal Assault,Metalcamp and many more).For example this year i will see about 3 concerts of Blind Guardian !
His talent comes not from his soloing or heavy stuff, it's actually the folkier stuff that proves he is awesome and very versatile. Though I still love his soloing.
@HerbredMadness I know. :< On the back of the little booklet in their new album, the've printed a few pictures with the band members. It literally took me a few weeks to realise that the dude with the short hair was Hansi. At first I just did not recognise him :o

The first gig I ever went to was Blind Guardian, and it's a memory I'll cherish till the day I die.
I never wanted to see a band live so badly in my life. They put on such a phenomenal show.
