I just upgraded my teenage daughter from an iPhone to the new Z-Flip 6. We went into a Samsung showroom so I could see some of the new gear and she took one look at the Z-Flip and asked if she could switch over. It happened just like the commercials and at first, I thought she was kidding me since she's always had an iPhone as do all of her friends. BTW, she loves it!
My flip 6 has been a gamechanger. Been on iOS since leaving Blackberry, but was so tired of the black hole of apps/social media and not being able to carry my phone easily in my pocket (lady pants suck). The flip fits in my FRONT pants pocket and has turned my phone from a tool I'm forced to use as part of society into something fun again.
Yes! Phone fitting in my pocket is part of why I'm switching to a flip too. So nice to hear it even fits in a front one! Waiting on mine to ship and can't wait.

@@DemGreenEyez I swapped from a 14 pro max and it is NIGHT and DAY the difference in portability. My phone fits in MY LIFE now, versus me having to adjust my life to fit around my phone. Just be prepared for a WAY worse battery - nothing can compete with the pro max batteries. But I've easily gotten 9+ hrs screentime out of this battery on the days I had to swap all of my accounts etc., so the battery is still plenty big enough :)

You CAN use dex with your flip 6. Go to developer settings, enable "force desktop mode", use a type c hub to connect to a display and enjoy. In fact, you get access to the New Dex interface which is native on tablets and never before seen on a mobile phone device.

Got the same one and the silver. However, I’m keeping the crafted black. I like that the “bezel” is no longer that shiny plastic. A lot of people want to compare it to the motorola but since Motorola offers no trade in deals, it’s Samsung for me.
Coming from a Flip 4, the 6 is a decent upgrade. With the pre-orders, trade-ins, and vouchers, it was too good a deal to pass up. The only things I wish it had in terms of existing technology are 120hz cover screen and 1TB storage.
I have a Flip 5 and I love it. I've used Samsung's trade in program to upgrade every year since the Flip 3. I found the offer this year to just not be worth it. Last year I traded in my Flip 4 for $900, got a preorder bonus offer, and received the Flip 5 for only $44. This year with a $650 trade in and a price increase on the 6, you're looking at around $400. I couldn't justify it this year for the small improvements. But I do think the 6 looks like a great phone.
That's still amazing 😍 where I live I would get 340 euros at most for my flip 5 if I trade it in. And it's the 512gb so it cost about 1200 euros last year. I can sell it online for even more especially because I just got a new screen, new batter and new everything because I always have insurance and always bring it for reparations even when barely needed. So it's completely new and I would get 300 or 400 at most discount on a 1200 euro flip 6 phone 😂 meaning I'd still have to pay 800 euros. In the US they often have great trade in offers. Last year for the trade in I wasable to just trade in an ugly old phone. I receiver 500 euro discount so the flip 5 went from 1200 to 700 euros. Which I think is incredibly and something you dont often get in this country. 44 euros is insane and something that will neverever happen in my country. Half of would also not happen everrr.
I had a really hard time deciding between this and the Razr, but in my country the Razr was more expensive, had zero bundles and considering that Moto's software support sucks, it was a no brainer. But the front screen looked sooo good. My friend ended up getting one Razr and I do not regret my Z Flip 6 one bit. One thing no one tells you about the Razr is that camers obstruck the screen and when you put the black bar below to avoid it, that screen is SMALLER than the one in the Flip. And the refresh rate is barely noticeable in such a small screen too. It is a beautiful phone for sure, but in real usability the are pretty much the same, while the Razr is taller which makes it a bit harder to manuever. Performance is amazing, cameras are way better than youtubers make of them, and battery life is great! My only gripe is that using a Samsung 45W charger I can charge this phone from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes, but the other 20% takes a complete hour... so I stuck with the 80% limit and charge a second time during the day if I need to. I come from a S23U and this phone charged at 100% is equivalent to my Ultra limited to 80%, which normally ended the day at 30%, so I haven't felt a downgrade in the battery section. I also own a Z Flip 3 and the crease improved A LOT. I would say the 6's crease is 95% as good as the Razr's, it's more noticeable only in extremely harsh sunlight conditions. Everywhere else, the are almost non existent and on par.

I love the ZFlip 6 it's a cool phone and it's my first flip because I never had a flip before and I got my Galaxy Watch Ultra coming tomorrow so I just had back to back packages. Many people inclusive my self got strech bubbles at the crease after just 2-4 weeks using :) they are tiny tiny tiny bubbles that you see on a white background. And the fold mechanic sounds strangeif the phone has been closed for a while. But i love my Flip6. Love the way it can be used closed.
So I would like to give my comment. I've been a galaxy user since the galaxy S5 (dam that was a great phone btw) I had the z flip 3 and I really liked it but the cover screen was very limited. When the Z flip 5 and Motorola razor launched in 2023 I went for the Motorola because that cover screen let you use ANY app. That was cool...however IMO the rest of the phone was garbage and that's because of the basic android os. I missed the galaxy os and I just got the Z flip 6 on Monday. It's been amazing honestly. It's everything I wanted the Z flip 3 to have. Yeah the extra $100 isn't necessarily but if you're really interested in it then go for it it's really good honestly
I am a content creator and influencer as well. I just got one of these and haven’t opened it up because I’m nervous. I have been on iPhone since 2012 I create content on pro max and been locked into the Apple ecosystem. This phone intrigued me and I want to make it my daily driver. Do you feel it’s possible ?
I would say keep an open mind when using it. It'll definitely be an adjustment. I currently have the s24 ultra coming from an iPhone 13 recently and it was an adjustment. However, I love my phone even got the watch to match. With all things tech, there will always be products that need improvement, pros versus cons. But I've found things I love about android os and Samsung in general that Apple cannot do. One thing I know is people can get really bothered about the crease on the flip but with all things that fold or bend, a crease is bound to happen. I say go for it and continue to flourish with your channel/content creation! 😊
I am definitely an iPhone guy. My daily driver is an iPhone 15 Pro. I do see the benefits of a quality android device. I am testing the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in silver shadow. I must say the pocket size form factor is nice. This year, Samsung seems to have gotten a lot of the upgrade correct with the Flip 6. The 12 GB of ram and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 are nice improvements. This year's phones feel sturdy and premium build. To be honest, many of the AI features seem like a party trick that will not get a lot of use. The battery life seems to be an improvement over last year. I returned the Flip 4 and 5 because of the subpar battery. Overall the trade-in offers were not great this year. There was no way I would trade-in a Galaxy S24 Ultra for $650. I did get a great price in this phone through Verizon.
i’ve had a galaxy a12 for over like, 2 years, and it’s started to glitch out WAY too much to the point where it’s annoying. i can hardly get anything done, and the camera sucks, which is why i don’t take photos. it is my absolute DREAM to get this phone, and i’m only 16. i don’t wanna ask my parents for it, but i desperately need SOME kind of upgrade. besides, i have a bit of an obsession with old flip phones 😭 so to have a modern one would be amazing.
I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...

Don't hold me to this but I did a lot of research between the two before settling on the flip. I think the normal S24 and the z flip 6 are essentially the same phone, but one folds. I think it's the S24+ ultra where there's some more notable differences-the camera is an obvious one I can think of where the 24+ will be better than the z flip. But between the normal S24 and flip I think it's mainly a matter of do you want a flip phone or not.
I was torn between the z flip 6 and the s24 but upon browsing in the phone shop where people had obviously opened and closed the z flip 6 (for me personally) the crease was obvious and this was a display model. I found it distracting too and very obvious. Yes l know if it's going to fold and unfold several times a day it will have a somewhat visible crease. But l knew that this would clearly bug me being a perfectionist. And then l spotted the Sandstone orange option in the S24 plus and my mind was made. I love it. My videos have a surround sound of their own. I'll wait a few years and see what else they come out with in the Z Flips until then I'll enjoy my 24+
The lack of native DeX support is due to the poor thermals on the Flip6; I don't believe the vapour chamber marketing spiel. I have seen some intensive testing of the Flip6; it heats up badly and throttles. On some benchmarks, it drops to 40% of its starting performance. I suspect using DeX would be a semi-heavy process and heavy if you use certain apps. Likely to lead to poor performance and complaints. My take has always been that the Flip6 is more of a lifestyle choice than for heavy users or power users, so in that context, I would be okay with the very poor thermals. The price remains the big issue, especially as the pre-order period is over, so £1050 in the UK with no deals and trade-ins are less than secondhand values on eBay. N.B. the pre-order deals weren't much better. So, with the current S24U deals, I could not recommend anyone paying more for a Flip6! I understand that people ignore value when it comes to a lifestyle choice like a flip phone, and I have no issue with that, but for the vast majority, we focus on value rather than a USP.
But my c flip six about a week ago and it's been fun and frustrating. It randomly closes game apps in the middle of a game. And sometimes the screen freezes occasionally. I also notice scrolling can sometimes hang. Anyone else having these issues. I've already cleared the system cache. Never had any of these issues with my OnePlus 9.
It basically provides a desktop like experience, especially if you connect it to an external display. That might sound impractical, but when you need to do work on your phone that's hard to do because of the small screen? Dex comes in very handy.
I oftenly connect my Samsung to TV monitor. When I wanna watch UA-cam or netflix on TV it's much more suitable using Dex in terms of the interface. Idk how to explain.
My flip 6 on the 3rd day, the folding part now is visible like the flip 5. On the first day yes its not visible but fold it for 5 times its visible now and deep
Yes also the screen is much more robust, this is the first flip phone that works very good, but i suggest better to buy 2 more generation at zflip 7-8 next gen
Unfortunately in Saudi Arabia the trade in program is awful, i tried to trade my Z fold 5 1TB variant (I didn't like the outer screen) and they only gave me less than 500 Dollars!!!
Buy a 1,100 dollar folding phone for being its own kickstand, or buy a cheap phone case with a built in kickstand, the options, the options... Seriously, why do these reviewers never mention that phone cases exist with kickstands?

I just switched from my 6-7 year old iphone xr to the flip6 and i want my iphone back lol . the face recognition sucks and unable to log into apps with face, the thump print is in inconvenient place , the spelling correction sucks and it feels like its going to break if i push the screen to hard , the battery is only reason i traded in phones and this one isnt much better than my 7 year old phone. im trying to return it but they trying to charge me a restock fee even though they forced this phone on me

Samsung dex IS actually available on the flip 6, but only in a new experimental mode. You can load it, but it's very poor unlike the current dex

The lack of native DeX support is due to the poor thermals on the Flip6; I don't believe the vapour chamber marketing spiel. I have seen some intensive testing of the Flip6; it heats up badly and throttles. On some benchmarks, it drops to 40% of its starting performance. I suspect using DeX would be a semi-heavy process and heavy if you use certain apps. Likely to lead to poor performance and complaints.
My take has always been that the Flip6 is more of a lifestyle choice than for heavy users or power users, so in that context, I would be okay with the very poor thermals.
The price remains the big issue, especially as the pre-order period is over, so £1050 in the UK with no deals and trade-ins are less than secondhand values on eBay. N.B. the pre-order deals weren't much better. So, with the current S24U deals, I could not recommend anyone paying more for a Flip6! I understand that people ignore value when it comes to a lifestyle choice like a flip phone, and I have no issue with that, but for the vast majority, we focus on value rather than a USP.
But my c flip six about a week ago and it's been fun and frustrating. It randomly closes game apps in the middle of a game. And sometimes the screen freezes occasionally. I also notice scrolling can sometimes hang. Anyone else having these issues. I've already cleared the system cache.
Never had any of these issues with my OnePlus 9.

What's the point of Samsung DeX, anyway? I've used Samsung devices for years (currently have the S24 Ultra) and I have never used DeX. Not once.
It basically provides a desktop like experience, especially if you connect it to an external display. That might sound impractical, but when you need to do work on your phone that's hard to do because of the small screen? Dex comes in very handy.
I oftenly connect my Samsung to TV monitor. When I wanna watch UA-cam or netflix on TV it's much more suitable using Dex in terms of the interface. Idk how to explain.
My flip 6 on the 3rd day, the folding part now is visible like the flip 5. On the first day yes its not visible but fold it for 5 times its visible now and deep
I’m sorry, but as long as the crease is visibly there, and the "glass" feels like cheap plastic, foldables are out of the question for me.

Yes also the screen is much more robust, this is the first flip phone that works very good, but i suggest better to buy 2 more generation at zflip 7-8 next gen

Coming from a iPhone user who will be converting to a Samsung user hopefully by today (pre-order should arrive today) Apple has seen no innovation in years and tired of their crappy customer service when an issue arises with their products. I’m not going back to Apple anytime soon, if at all.

I just switched from my 6-7 year old iphone xr to the flip6 and i want my iphone back lol . the face recognition sucks and unable to log into apps with face, the thump print is in inconvenient place , the spelling correction sucks and it feels like its going to break if i push the screen to hard , the battery is only reason i traded in phones and this one isnt much better than my 7 year old phone. im trying to return it but they trying to charge me a restock fee even though they forced this phone on me
