I can do this position naturally ever since i was a kid. I used to sit on chairs like this back in school and the school staff got angry at me fsr LOL It's the most comfortable sitting position 4 me
Hello @yogawithlandon. thanks for this great video. I've been looking for fire log modifications for so long! One extra question: i have hypermobile joints and I often need to make modifications to stretch or flex the right muscles. When i try and flex my top foot, it really hurts my top knee, whereas leaving the foot relaxed (pretty pointed in this position!) doesnt. Is it really bad not to flex the feet if i feel a good stretch in my hips while both sitbones are grounded? Tx!!!
Hi Landon...I clicked on this video since I did the full chatarunga class this morning and you incorporated this in. I am one of those that it is too easy. I feel nothing. I actually have been doing it for most of life not knowing it was a yoga pose. In fact I sit at my desk in my chair like this all the time. I also cross both feet over each thigh (don't know what that pose is called if it is one) Don't know if that is good or bad. Lol. So I was looking for a way to make it do something for me. The stretching towards the top knee is helpful, can feel some stretch there. Pigeon(or half pigeon) is another one that is very easy for me but now King Pigeon is a whole different story, that is a work in progress. Don't know if I will ever get there. Anyway Love your explanations of poses!
It wouldn't be bad if it's just one, just as long as your knees feel okay :) Yea i'd encourage you to fold over your top knee and walk your hands out help feel it more :) and yes... there's a reason i've never done a explination on king pigeon lol... Its a pretty hard backbend for me - and also with tight hamstrings it can be pretty rough haha. and you're very welcome! thank you for watching! :) Ive got more posture explination videos coming out soon... but this time I'll be doing short n' sweet "3 biggest mistakes" in the poses... stay tuned :)
If you do this pose and your knees are perfectly stacked and you lean backwards, what does that stretch? Because leaning forward feels fine but backwards is very difficult!
I am one of those who cannot get her thighs to touch the mat on normal pigeon, but firelog pose is a breeze. I actually had to google images and videos to see if I was doing it wrong as I could not believe that it was that easy for me.
Love this teacher. I am yoga teacher myself but this is HARD😅
gracias!
I have been trying this pose for weeks and, with your guidance, got pretty dang close in just a few minutes. THANKS!! I am a fan of you❤️

thx Jason! happy to help! :)
My knees are has high as my shoulders Stiff stiff
It's a difficult pose for sure! Try leaning back some... maybe even coming back to your forearms:) itll give your hips a better chance to relax. :)
😂

@@yogawithlandon Yeah, backbends are not my friend. Working on it but even wheel pose is very difficult for me. Look forward to more of your videos!

If you can do even some of this, you're flexible enough to not need the video. Searing pain in multiple places. No, thanks.
