This is great. I never felt the generational curse teachings in the church made sense. I have broken some of the cycles in the family. I'm still working on recovery, but God is leading me. I hate to say this, but sometimes when you break a cycle with God, not everyone comes along with you. My family circle has gotten smaller in the last 5 years.

Thank you so much. I'm surrounded by narcissistic in-laws. I wasted 13 years of my marriage always affected by them, because I thought it's a sin to set boundaries. I have forgiven them, but it is really hard to talk to a narcissist for more than 5 minutes.
I had to completely cut off my relationship with my husband's mother who was a narcissist. She was so toxic that she was turning my stepdaughter against us and teaching her to lie and manipulate.

My birth mom told me that I was Cursed and I refuse to believe this because I know that God says differently Amen.
Same! She called me a thorn in her side when I refused to accept it the more I trusted and grew in my faith.
My goodness gracious, me!!!! You've opened my eyes to SO much!!!!!!! I'm 36 going on 37 and have lived all of this all my life and believed it was because of a curse a from possessed woman told my grandfather who is a retired minister, who cursed him and his children and his children's children, just as Deuteronomy said, to the fourth generation. My dad was there at that service and has always told us this story, referring to it being the reason why he and all my uncles and aunt are strayed from the Lord, which I never agreed with. But, looking at all of my cousins and even my siblings being lost and unstable, and always thought in the back of my mind that THAT is why. I'm the only one on my dad's side of the family serving the Lord for the passed 12 years, praise the Lord!! And, I now know these things have no power over me! Even though I've blamed it, in a way, for my lifelong battle with anxiety and depression and, of course, my struggles and temptations.
May the Lord keep using you for His glory, revelation of His word and for the blessing of many!!!
What a horrible thing for that man to do! I had a 'psychic' tell me some horrible things years ago, and it messed me up pretty bad. It took many years of having 2 girls and a boy instead of what she told me (2 boys and a girl) before I really believed she was a liar. There is a lot of power in words. It is sad that people can say such harsh things wit realizing the reprocussions. But they don't have power over he power of God and Jesus grace! We have power over all of it.
God takes our Mess and turn it into a Message

I used to be diagnosed with and suffer from complex post-traumatic stress disorder and social phobia because I grew up in an abusive environment both at home and at school. I was abused and bullied by both my parents and most of my teachers - not so much by other children. But then I met Jesus when I was 36, I started literally keeping His Commandments to us in the New Testament and He healed me (as His Promise in John 8:32-36) of all of my symptoms within one year.
This doesn't mean I don't have any wounds to work on - I still get triggered, but now it's maybe once per two-three months compared to having been triggered and tormented every single day and night when I was sick. The rest of our lives we will have to deal with the flesh - with old but also new wounds. That's just a part of life.
But one thing the enemy has been lying to me about was generational curses. I learned many toxic behaviors from my parents, but little by little, by keeping Jesus' Commandments to us, His disciples, I learned to do the healthy thing as a natural response. However, there are areas in my life (that I don't teach about) where I am just beginning to learn what Jesus says. And in those areas, I'd learned toxic behaviors from my parents, but because I wasn't vigilant, I ended up believing the lie of the enemy that it's a generational curse what's going on in my life in these areas.
This is by far the BEST teaching I have ever heard on generational curses, but I will go so far as to say this is the BEST Christian teaching I have ever heard. Period. This is, in a nutshell, who we are as Christians and the reality that we are NOT Jewish people living before Jesus came on the earth and finished His Work on the cross.
I cannot recommend this particular teaching enough! I hope it blesses you as much as it is blessing me - I am going to watch it again and again to remind myself (and the enemy) that he is a LIAR and that Jesus ALREADY finished His Work, even if I didn't yet learn everything He teaches! It's a lifelong process, not a one and done type of thing!

I am watching this video on Tuesday may 2, 2023 9:30;pm. I am so open to this new knowledge. I always thought that I was a "victim" of a generational curse, so I got a book from a friend how to denounce curses, they were called fire prayers. Every time I prayed these prayers I felt like I was under attack by demons. It really was crazy. But the Holy Spirit led me in his word to overcome strongholds by quoting scripture and now It is working! Thank you for your amazing teachings, especially about narcissist mothers. ❤

Thank you so much Kris as I really needed this today. This information has been so helpful as this has laid heavy on my heart for some time because I have felt that I was living under a generational curse because no matter what good choices I have tried to make in my life to avoid perpetuating the cycles of my parents and grandparents I am still finding myself in the same position in life that they were. I have gotten into and enabled narcissistic relationships unknowingly in my life that has caused me more pain & sorrow than I care to mention. This was behavior that was learned from narcissistic people in my life. I just realized over the last few years how patterned and cyclic so many of my family relationships have been as well as so many other external relationships such as colleagues, co-workers, and friends. I want to be free of these toxic relationships and thought patterns and I will break these cycles in the mighty name of Jesus because it is through Jesus I am blessed!🙏🏻❤️

I believe the reason why someone lived or lives in a horrible home life is because our parents brought their bad experiences and learned behaviors to their relationship. Just what you said . The Good thing about Generational Curses/CYCLES is that they can be broken through Prayer, and changing one's mindset. Change is not always a bad thing.

Ezekiel 18: 19-20. Explains that God does not want to punish the son for the sins of the father. I never knew this until I read this yesterday. I’m so glad!!!! It never seemed fair to me.

Sin is a precondition to a curse, a legal right for the devil to enter, and cycles are the way a curse manifests in real life. So, yes, you need to repent and stop repeating the cycles, so the curse can lose a hold over you, however you will have to repent also for the ancestral sin. John 9:1-3 is an example of it.
WOW.. I've been praying prayers to break strongholds for family members. this is the truth I need to know, which helps me to set good loving boundaries for those that CHOOSE to not receive Jesus, repent and renew their mind, or for those that think they can receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, but stop there without doing the work. You know that still small voice [the Holy Spirit] was having me question this all along, because if we can pray for things that are actually not ours to change, that's like trying to control someone else's life and we all know that's not good. also if someone else is doing the work, that person is missing out on their own trimming of the vine, which is where most of my growth came from. And the Generational Curse thing, I'm in agreement, how are we suppose to know what our ancestors were into??? I listened to a pastor/teacher/preacher once and he described the different parts of the Bible and how it pertains to different times and different people and the coming of Jesus fulfilled the law, that we are no longer under. there are so very many people out there that need to get this Revelation in their Spirit. When you have abusive parents and have Godly people telling you to continuously go back to the abuse emotionally or mentally when an adult, how can you leave the past? The past continually becomes the present because it doesn’t change. God wants us to continually return to the abuse? That’s what I’ve done for 50 years. Nearly destroyed me emotionally and mentally. Both my sisters and I have been married 3 times. I’ve just divorced again. Physically beat on as kids and as an adult the emotional abuse has never stopped. I cannot continue to return to their emotional turmoil and I would question anyone teaching that a loving God would want that for me.

Yes I believed that we could carry our generational curses only if we had left an open door by holding on to a particular sin (without surrender and repentance) however I never believed that it was an free-pass or excuse to remain in that sin.
Excellent teaching! I was taught that demons can be transferred from one person to another. I now believe this is only true if the person on the receiving end has an open door of sin in their life to let it in.
