  • 18th February 2023; Watoto of Kerege Primary School received free medical checkups at a medical camp organised by the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam Oysterbay, Rotaract Club of Kairuki on 18 February 2023. The medical camp that was held on the grounds of Kerege Primary School attended to about 1,200 children. The checked was made up of students from the primary schools of Kerege.
    40 doctors- general practitioners and specialists such as dentists, ophthalmologists provided medical services such as malaria testing, eye tests, dental check-ups and provided medication and referrals where it was required.
    Those who attended the medical camp were also given information on how to prevent malaria and how to properly use a mosquito net.
    The medical specialists were assisted by over 200 volunteers from the organising clubs: Rotaract Club of Muhimbili, Kampala International Hospital, friends and family of Rotary.
    The President of the Rotary Club of Oysterbay, Krutin Shah, said that “The Rotary Club of Oysterbay has been organising medical camps since 2012 as part of our efforts in fighting disease. I would like to thank Malaria Partners International, Rotarians Against Malaria - Group, Kerege Primary School, Pepsi, Hill Water, Mansoordaya chemicals and the local area government for making this year’s medical camp possible”.
