Julia Phillips' sculptures, inspired by tools and everyday objects, serve as metaphors for social and psychological experiences. Her drawings, prints, and videos further explore the human body as a symbol for emotional and social experiences. Born in Hamburg in 1985, Phillips now resides and works in Chicago and Berlin. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at MoMA PS1, Kunstverein Braunschweig, and the Venice Biennale.
