Styx, I am from VA. Don't count on our state pulling through here. We have a website any Virginian can go to to check their record (seems YT deletes if I say the V word). I went in person in 2020. If I check my record, it still doesn't show an entry for 2020. It shows everything else, but not that. I know for a fact I did not get counted in 2020, and I am not alone. Just about everyone I have talked to about this, and managed to convince to look their own record up has come back to me with a similar story. Many people here never got counted, but only from a particular side. I don't expect it to be any better this time around.

Rural Virginia is for TRUMP !
I am a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia. So many people in Virginia work in non military government jobs. The highest concentration in Northern Virginia. These people will vote for ANY Democrat.
As someone who served as a Norfolk policeman for years, I second this. NoVa = the worst.
Government employees shouldn't even be allowed to vote.
I have family in NoVA in a small town. Too rich to care. Hoping they just sit the election out.
I lived in Virginia Beach (Salem area) as a child from 1987-1991 (my ZIP code was 23456). It remains the best area I have ever lived.

My closest friend lives in VA. He says that Northern VA (and Richmond) is the most liberal polluted area of the state. The rest of the state is pretty red.

I would love to see Virginia go red but I'm not confident in that happening because of Richmond, VA Beach and the DC beltway. Those are the highest population locations and unfortunately many people there are liberal idiots. I have been watching five competitive states for several months now, these are Maine (at large), New Hampshire, Minnesota, Virginia, and New Mexico. The rest of the internet punditry is finally catching up. With 6 months to go, there is plenty of time for Trump to grow in these states, mop up the rust belt blue wall, and sweep up some of these states out on the fringe. Hell, maybe I'll be adding New Jersey and New York to my watch list now. To be clear, I am not saying that I predict with any certainty that Trump will win ALL the states I have named, but some of them are ripe for the picking. Cheers!

I live in Northern Virginia, which is deep blue. I haven't really seen a lot of public Trump support, but I've seen almost no Biden support. Even a lot of people who were turned off of Trump in 2020 seem to be regretting that. I think Youngkin has also been reasonably well received, so if he is willing to publicly endorse Trump, that all might be enough.
A lot of the people around here are largely oblivious dems who vote that way because they're insulated from a lot of the bad policies they implement; however, after all the nonsense that's been going on in the public schools in Fairfax and Loudoun, many of them are starting to take notice of how nuts these people are and might change their vote or just stay home.
Either way, I think even if Trump loses Virginia, if it's close, the dems are in a whole lot of trouble.

I would certainly like for my home state of Virginia to track back towards the center right and leave the leftist insanity behind. It’s a beautiful state but I finally left permanently 2 years ago in favor of Tennessee. The Blue Ridge mountains are wonderful and maybe if it goes red again in the long term I could move back, but for seeable future I will be living in Tennessee, or Kentucky, or West Virginia.
